Chapter 338: 0338 You can see the opposite side at a glance_1

Damien Frost: "..."

How could he be so shameless all the time.

Even he couldn’t bear to watch anymore.

Ellen Young: "No."

She just remembered the past, when Ruffy Smith initially made quite the frivolous impression on her.

Because even she knew how famous he was in Hadton back then.

Especially after that incident he caused.

He certainly knew how to seize an opportunity.

It’s hard to say whether the people protecting Miss Young knew about it, but even if they did, they wouldn’t make it public. They always had to consider saving face for the Smith Family, right?

Ruffy Smith slightly frowned: "No?"

He appeared somewhat regretful, "It seems I haven’t left a deep enough impression in teacher’s heart. I guess the teacher has never really noticed my handsomeness."

Ellen Young: "..."

Damien Frost couldn’t help but interrupt Ruffy Smith, "Miss Young, we’ve arrived."

Ellen Young nodded, she got out of the car and returned home where Blackie was barking furiously at her at the entrance, mainly going crazy wagging its tail in excitement to see her back.

Michael was as consistent as ever, wobbling over to Ellen Young and asking: "Have you eaten?"

Ellen Young answered indifferently: "I have."

Michael: "What did you eat?"

In the gap between his questions, Ellen Young had already gone inside. Damien Frost and Ruffy Smith stood outside; Ruffy Smith didn’t choose to go back to his own home right away.

He pulled out a gold-trimmed, elaborate black cigarette case from his bag, took one out, and offered it to Damien Frost first.

Damien Frost stayed silent for three seconds before reaching out to take it.

In this place, there weren’t so many formalities.

He did, however, take out his own lighter, lighting up for Ruffy Smith first. Ruffy Smith unceremoniously lit his cigarette and then handed the lighter back. The two men stood side by side, their tall frames making for a picturesque scene like a beautiful spread in a magazine.

It was captivating.

"You’re really planning to pursue Miss Young?"

Amidst the swirling smoke, Damien Frost was the first to start the conversation.

"Do I look like I’m joking?"

Ruffy Smith, with a cigarette at the corner of his mouth, glanced at a message on his cellphone, took a look at it, and then said, "I never joke about this matter."

Hearing the seriousness seeping through his deep voice, Damien Frost fell silent for a moment.

His tone indifferent: "There are many who want to be with Miss Young. She hasn’t taken an interest in anyone over the years. What if you fail?"

"If I’m thinking about starting, I can’t possibly entertain the idea of failure."

Ruffy Smith scoffed and glanced at Damien Frost: "If I thought I was going to fail from the start, why would I even pursue?"

Liking someone isn’t something one can predict.

Besides himself, there were no other men around Ellen Young, and in his eyes, Damien Frost and the others didn’t really count, after all, they were just there to protect her; they were well aware of the difference between themselves and Miss Young.

Damien Frost chuckled, "You do have an abundance of confidence. Then, I wish you success."

After all, Miss Young was already twenty-four. Affairs of the heart are unpredictable, and they were there only to protect her. They wouldn’t interfere with anything else.

Having shared a cigarette with Ruffy Smith, they soon both went back to their own homes to tend to their own business.

But Ruffy Smith’s day wasn’t over yet; he received a call from his father.

The voice of Taylor Smith emanating from the cellphone remained refined and steady, but slightly disapproving: "When exactly are you planning to come back?"

Ruffy Smith pushed the gate open and entered, heading to the third floor after getting inside because from there he could easily see the hillside on which Ellen Young’s house was situated.
