Chapter 323: 0323 Ellen seeks candy from you every day_1

Ellen Young: "I’ll think about it, but right now, I have to go on a program."

"The program only lasts for half a year, and nobody is asking you to start right now." He raised an eyebrow, "You’ve been working so hard for such a long time, I think it’s best for you to relax now. Going on the program might indeed be a good choice for you."

After all, it’s only a week, just a live broadcast, and it doesn’t require Ellen to do much.

The rest of the time is Ellen’s own.

Agreeing to do the program was just to fulfill Lucy Wood’s request.

"Additionally..."

Just as Ruffy Smith was about to speak, suddenly a loud commotion came from outside.

The clamor was coming from the village; Ellen was essentially in the back mountain, and the village was extremely quiet at night. Any noise could be heard very clearly.

The liveliness was as if someone were having a quarrel.

Ellen and Ruffy Smith both turned their gazes in that direction when suddenly, Damien Frost came up, looking somewhat surprised at Ellen: "Miss Young, relatives of your grandfather, Hordy Young, have arrived in the village."

The way he said it made both Ellen and Ruffy pause for a moment.

"Relatives?"

This was obviously something Ellen had not expected.

Since she was a child, her grandfather never mentioned having any relatives, nor did he talk about his family.

After the war ended, her young grandfather came to live in Haran Village under a pseudonym, where he settled down for a lifetime without ever mentioning any relatives.

This was even confirmed by the country, which, due to Ellen’s status, had also inquired about the old man’s relatives on her behalf. However, the old man never said he had any relatives, claiming to be all alone without any family, and for that reason, it was never thoroughly investigated.

Now, for relatives to suddenly appear was certainly unexpected for Ellen.

Ruffy’s eyes showed a hint of interest. Ellen’s identity had just been revealed, but there shouldn’t be many people who know Hordy Young was Ellen’s grandfather. Where did these relatives come from?

Ellen didn’t know either; all she could do was go down and see what was happening.

Her grandfather’s relatives were not quite the same as her own, but it made sense to go take a look both emotionally and rationally.

Upon reaching the village, sure enough, there was an extraordinary commotion; a small sedan had driven into the village and stopped right at the entrance, quite conspicuously.

The sedan wasn’t very expensive, but as Ellen approached, Aunt Walker, who was hugging Irvin Jones, suddenly came over and said to Ellen, "Ellen, you’re here?"

Ellen nodded, with Ruffy Smith, who was there to watch the excitement, following behind her, "Aunt Walker, what’s going on? I heard it’s about my grandfather’s relatives?"

"Who knows about any relatives?"

Aunt Walker said, "Don’t jump to conclusions; let your village chief grandfather figure out what’s going on. Even if they are relatives, we need to be sure before saying anything."

Now that Ellen’s status had been revealed, everyone in the village knew. Overnight her status had changed, so why were relatives cropping up out of the blue?

The affair of the Wood Family had also spread throughout the village, and everyone said the Wood Family had no conscience. Now with the appearance of relatives, it all seemed a bit odd.

The people of the village hadn’t had any ulterior motives yet, but who knew what others might think.

Aunt Walker was worried someone might be pretending to belong.

The villagers were also far-sighted. Hearing this, Ellen nodded her agreement, and Irvin Jones chuckled foolishly at her, "Sis, candy."

Aunt Walker patted Irvin Jones: "Always asking your sister Ellen for candy, do you have no shame?"

The little chubby kid got scolded and immediately pouted.
