Chapter 307: 0307 I knew you had bad intentions!_1
When Clinton White discovered the topic, he was nearly choked with rage.
He called Ruffy Smith, "You shameless bastard, did you start that topic on the Internet? I’ve always known you were up to no good with the BOSS, pah, you dog!"
Ruffy Smith and Clinton White had been at odds for over a decade since they first met in Hadton.
Ruffy Smith wasn’t surprised by his call. However, compared to the patience and gentleness he showed towards Ellen Young, he now lazily said, "The eyes of the masses are bright and clear."
Clinton White, "You’re full of it! I don’t believe you didn’t start this topic."
"It really wasn’t me," Ruffy Smith chuckled evilly, "This topic is quite surprising, but you don’t have to react like this. You are married, after all. Those who don’t know might think you have some designs on your BOSS."
His tone was casual, but there was a hint of danger in it.
Upon hearing this, Clinton White immediately said, "Don’t talk nonsense, my wife and I are very much in love."
Ruffy Smith, ever since they met, had been full of schemes.
Offend him, and he wouldn’t deal with you directly or let you notice anything.
But as days go by, you would start to feel things not going your way, and then one thing after another would start to affect you.
Ruffy Smith had long been irritated by Clinton White’s presence around Ellen Young. Clinton White had managed to do things that Ruffy could do too; it was just that Clinton White had met Ellen Young first, giving him an opportunity!
Then there was the matter of their statuses; because he was the son of the Smith Family, and due to an incident when he was eighteen, Ellen Young always kept her distance from him.
So, consciously, he didn’t contact Ellen Young for several consecutive years afterward, and nobody knew that their relationship was actually not all that pure to begin with.
—That was what he believed, unilaterally.
But not contacting her didn’t mean he didn’t like her.
Out of all the people who had long-term contact with Ellen Young, Ruffy hated him the most.
Fortunately, he had been wise in getting married.
Hearing this, he just sneered softly, "That’s good to hear."
Clinton White was furious, "You create trouble out of nothing and then blame the victim. Did you anticipate Edward Wood’s situation in advance? Sending him overseas is quite a ruthless move."
"Does he have the IQ that warrants my intervention?" Ruffy Smith sneered coldly, "What you are does not change wherever you are."
Clinton White said with a meaningful tone, "The Wood Family is going to bleed a lot this time. I wonder if they will beg for the BOSS’s help."
"Your BOSS won’t bother with it."
Ruffy Smith knew Ellen Young well, "With her personality, nobody can force her into doing something she doesn’t want to. The Wood Family won’t even get to see her. If they play shameless games, I’ll take care of them. If David Wood is smart, he should know to at least try to save his grandson. If he’s not smart, then let their family enjoy each other’s company overseas."
Ruffy Smith, impatient with the Wood Family’s affairs, hung up the phone.
Seeing the comments on the Internet, he curled his lips into a smirk—ah, his mood was still pleasant.
But he shouldn’t go overboard.
He didn’t need to do anything. Let it die down naturally over time. Whatever Ellen Young saw or thought, that was none of his business.
After all, he wasn’t the one who did it, right?
Meanwhile, others who saw the online discussions were very surprised and came directly to Ruffy Smith to ask if it was true.
After all, in their eyes, Ellen Young and Ruffy Smith were two people with absolutely no overlap.
On Clinton White’s end, he continued to keep an eye on the matters concerning the Wood Family.
