Chapter 90: Confused

It is always shocking to see how scary Astri can become when she’s angry. She’s always kind and loving, so watching her powers being used to hurt is scary even if they understand the reason she’s acting this way.

"K-k..Koa.. Help me!" Xandra cries and then her air goes missing.

Astri makes the air stop going to her lungs with her powers.

"Be happy because I pity your spouses and I don’t want them to die because of a poor soul like you. Don’t need to beg for your cousin." Astri says to Xandra.

Even after hearing that, Xandra is still fearing death because she can’t breathe and move. The corals are sharp and hurt her skin, making her bleed.

"Koa, don’t need to banish her. Her spouses are great warriors of your tribe. I don’t care about what females think about me or my spouses, but if they have enough courage to face me like this, I will protect my family. I think she learned her lesson now, but make sure to keep her away from us. And make her spouses know that they will face me if they want to avenge her." Astri says to Koa.

"Of course. I understand." Koa speaks, still shocked and amazed with her powers.

Astri throws Xandra to the direction of the exit. Xandra coughs and crawls to try to run away.

Astri takes a deep breath to calm down, and then she looks at her spouses and friends.

"I told you to be careful!! F*ck!! Cyprian for goodness sake!! If any female is around, PAY FUC*ING attention! Beau, Hawa, Shan, Ferd if she got you, how would you go back home?! IDIOTS!! Females are dangerous things because they have no limits!" She says, angry.

They listen silently, looking down. They really didn’t pay attention to that. She sighs trembling, then she holds her eyes trying to calm down again.

"Sorry. I need a bath. You take care of the kids and dinner." She speaks and walks away.

They’re still thunder-shocked with the way she spoke with them.

"You go, Cyprian. You almost took the poison and that brought her to this level of frustration." Claud says to Cyprian.

Cyprian nods and walks inside.

"I’m sorry about my cousin... She really has no limits. I’ll take care of her." Koa says.

"No. We as guards failed not pay entire and complete attention to any danger." Hawa speaks.

"Feeling guilty will change nothing. Astri will be fine, she’s just protective. Let’s keep our eyes open now. Let’s prepare dinner and get ready to sleep." Claud says.

"Get rid of this water. She probably wanted to numb us and have an easy path to kill Astri."

"Mermaids are so extreme... Females are selfish and everything, but that is the first time I saw a female doing something like this." Lee speaks, not being even capable of imagining himself with another female.

"I would rather kill myself than have another female." Zin speaks.

"Me too." Wayde confirms.

"Will she be all right? I never saw her that way." Ferd, who is always quiet, asks.

Claud sighs.

"Lady Astri is a different female. She doesn’t see us as males that should protect her and do all of her desires. She loves her spouses like they were her own heart, and she loves us as her dear friends and family. Losing Dieg was something too traumatic for her because she fears losing something she didn’t have before meeting us. I understand her entirely. I don’t want any other spouse because the pain of losing one is too great to handle." Galion speaks.

Hearing that made the Aquaterrans and Koa open their eyes to her feelings. They need to stop just thinking that she’s different, they need to accept once and for all that she’s different and they need to adapt if they want to protect her the way she deserves.

Cyprian finds her in the bathtub, relaxing in the water. In the mermen cabins they always have a big bathtub that looks like a little pool. Cyprian gets inside with her and brings her to his arms, she sighs sitting on his lap and laying her head on the crook of his neck.

"I’m sorry I called you an idiot." She softly says.

"Don’t apologize. I was an idiot letting my guard open like that. None of us expected a female would go so extreme like that. But you have warned us and I almost got poisoned. I’m sorry." He says, rubbing her head and arm.

"I hope the Queen or Aquaterra is a good female. Or else, I might help her with the condition of cutting her tongue off." Astri says

He chuckles and kisses her head. She feels something hard pressing her leg, and she smiles.

"Why are you poking me?" She asks.

"I’m not.. Oh.. Yes. It’s because you’re so hot protecting us, it’s hard to hold up. But I don’t want you to think that I get aroused with your anger and suffering." He was confused at first, but then he saw her looking at his thing and understood what she was saying.

"I would never think that, my love." She says getting closer and then kissing his lips.

He groans with her hot kiss. She straddles him, moving his skirt up and then he moans feeling her sex touching and rubbing his as she moves her hips.

"I’d rather die than accept another female. You’re my everything now and forever." He moans as they kiss.

"And I don’t want to lose any of you." She says and then they hiss when they connect their bodies.

They make love as quiet as possible. Cyprian carries her to the wall and covers them with his wings to avoid their sounds spreading.

Koa goes to Elder Jin and then brings him to Xandra’s cabin. Xandra is crying and her males are worried and angry about what happened to her.

"What happened, Xandra? Who did this to you?" Elder Jin asks.

Xandra fears saying it.

"Tell him." Koa orders her.

"That land female. Astri." She answers.

Her spouses were shocked and Jin already imagined why she got beaten now.

"You tried something and she got angry. Now I see." Jin says.

"What is she?? That monster.." Xandra cries.

"She’s not a Monster! She’s the Daughter of Nature. When you decided to disrespect her, you disrespected the Goddess of Nature. She could have killed you in many ways. She could have fed her Kraken with you and your spouses. She could have made you suffer for the rest of your life! She didn’t do half of what she’s capable of and what you deserved!" Koa says, angrily.

Xandra and her spouses are spellbound like their minds have frozen.

"What..? Astri showed her powers to Xandra?" Jin asks, worried.

"She was pushed to the limit when Xandra tried to poison her spouses." Koa answers.

"What?! Xandra!! You already have 24 males!! And you did all that for more?! And with the Goddess of Nature?! Even if she weren’t a Goddess, you must have a mental disease to do that to our special guests! Why can’t you just listen and stay quiet?! We warned you many times and you kept insisting. You should be banished for this!" Jin says angrily.

"Astri asked me to not banish her because her spouses are strong warriors. She’s wise enough to not risk our safety, even if I rather banish them either way." Koa sighs.

"But I didn’t know she’s the Goddess of Nature. You never said anything." Xandra says.

"She asked to hide her identity. All kinds of beastmen and Monsters are after her, and she didn’t want to bring any bad attention to our tribe. You should have obeyed me when I said to treat them with respect like everyone else! And you better keep your mouth shut or else I’ll banish all of you!!" Koa spits.

They nod looking down.

"You just wash her and keep her clean. It’s just flesh wounds." Jin says to Xandra’s males and walks away.

"Are you courting the Goddess, Koa?" Xandra asks before Koa leaves.

"What if I am? It’s none of your business." Koa speaks and leaves.

Koa walks to Jin and they keep walking together.

"How is the Goddess?" Jin asks Koa as they walk slowly.

"Mad. But according to her males, she will be fine. Xandra got lucky. I wouldn’t be this good."

"I wish I was there. I mean, I don’t want to see her angry, but I’m sure her powers must be amazing." Jin says, rubbing his head.

"It’s amazing, but scary. She and her spouse Claud can kill anyone without even touching. They could hold a Kraken, it’s how powerful they are."

Jin looks at Koa, who was deep in thought as he walks.

"Are you courting her?" Jin asks, curious.

"... I must admit I want that. She’s amazing and I think we like each other enough."

"What is stopping you? You’re lucky that the Goddess of Nature likes you."

"I know, but.. How can I continue to be leader being her mate? Also, I will die young when she dies since she’s a land beast. I hate to think about this. It makes me feel selfish." Koa softly says.

"It is selfish." Jin says, then sighs. "I’m not sure about this, but unicorns live longer than us. She might live longer than unicorns since she’s a Pegasus. She will probably see you die first."

"Oh... That’s equally bad. As I saw, she suffers when her spouses die."

"If you’re this reluctant maybe it’s good that you don’t court her. Be clear that you don’t want her so you don’t pass the image of a weak male. Make a Goddess wait is bad enough." Jin says.

Koa sighs and rubs his head.

"I’m an idiot." Koa tells himself.

"If I were you, I would follow her. She’s in this world to not help only our tribe, but everyone. My lineage would be stronger coming from her too. And, I’m sure I would be happy with her after watching the way she is. It would be a blessing. But I’m old and useless, they already have knowledge enough in medicine." Jin chuckles at the end, joking about himself.

His words made Koa think more about his future. He never imagined that he would go through something like this and needed to think if he should accept or not the female he likes. He thought it would be easy once he found someone and she would come live with him and that’s it. However, accepting Astri will change everything in his life.
