Chapter 247: She Was So Sure

Zin asked with all his might of Nature to make that night pass slowly, but the morning came at some point. Zin hears the other spouses entering, so he sighs but hugs her tighter.

Astri wakes up from nowhere and turns away from Zin. She sees a pot in the corner of the bedroom, she pulls it with her powers and grabs it to throw up inside of it. All of them looked at each other in shock first, but then they smiled brightly, knowing what that meant.

Some of them cheer happily with each other, and some cheer internally. They are happy to see Astri with her beautiful pregnant belly again.

"Astri was so sure she would end up pregnant after the first line. I am so happy!" Wayde says.

"I hope it’s my cubs this turn." Dieg happily says.

"There’s a high possibility that they are Shinkou’s again. Since he was the only one with her for a long time." Claud says.

"I hope it is." Shinkou is beaming.

"If it is, he can’t stay in the line until Astri is pregnant again." Lee says.

"Eh? What? Why? That is not fair. I was the only spouse with her for a long time, not because I wanted or made it that way."

"He’s right, Lee. It wasn’t a matter of luck. It would be unfair to him." Beau says.

"I am happy enough that I can see her pregnant again." Koa says, smiling, and helps her bring a new bucket with clean water for her to wash her face and mouth.

Skalven also went to take her clothes and helped her dress.

"You are a bit pale." Claud says to Astri.

"Yeah.. I’m feeling a little weak after throwing up all my dinner. And I’m still nauseous." She answers softly.

"We will bring you food. Stay and rest." Claud says to her.

She nods, agreeing. She’s feeling sleepy and nauseous, not wanting to move at all, so she goes back to bed. Claud and Shinkou go make her breakfast while the others stay with her, staying in silence for her to rest.

"Where is everyone?" Kenzou asks Shinkou.

"With Astri. We discovered this morning that she is pregnant again." Shinkou answers.

"Oh! What a blessing!" Kenzou smiles.

"Mother is pregnant?!" Elias and Kai ask, happy with the news.

"Yes. She threw up this morning." Claud says, smiling.

"Yaaay. More cubs or babies for you to plaaay, handsome Reigan." Yuki cheers with Reigan.

Reigan is bigger now, almost reaching Yuki’s knee. Reigan follows Astri’s smell and then goes inside the bedroom slowly. He passes his fathers and then lies down next to his mother.

"Your mother is fine, little one. She will be with you soon." Cyprian says, patting his head.

After sleeping part of the morning, Astri woke up again, still nauseous but not having anything to throw up. She simply hugs Reigan and tries to suppress the nausea.

Reigan licks Astri’s face happily.

"I missed you, too, sweetie." She giggles.

Astri eats slowly. It’s her fourth pregnancy, and she knows what to do to suppress the nausea, but it’s still like something new every time.

Tyr was on her side, rubbing his hand on her back to help her feel more relaxed. After eating and having some juice, she feels better to walk around. She walks around in the throne room with her children and some spouses.

They see a painting of Tyr on a prominent wall of the throne room.

"Father Tyr was different as King." Yuki says.

"I was. Your mother made a painting of me right after we got together and went to United Tribes, and sent it to Klark as a gift. I was very different as a King indeed, even more before meeting your mother." Tyr says, hugging Yuki’s shoulders.

"And what is the difference?"

"Before meeting your mother, I didn’t trust people, I felt that everything had to be done by my hands to work perfectly. And I didn’t want a spouse, ever."

"Then you saw mother, and it was like love at first sight?"

"I won’t lie, her beauty captivated me, but what made me start to look at her with different eyes was that she trusted me from the beginning. And because of you, too." Tyr says, with a smile.

"Me?" Yuki asks, confused.

"When you saw Tyr for the first time, you wanted to hold onto him like he was your favorite toy." Astri giggles.

"Really?"

"You made all of your fathers jealous." Tyr says to Yuki. "I noticed that your mother had a bigger motive. I always thought that for the real growth of our kingdom, we had to think about a wider perspective. Not only on our own. And to help the world, I had to prove to your mother that I could be with her."

"And you proved. Since she accepted you." Yuki says.

"He did. But he got my heart by saying sweet things whenever I talked to him through our minds." Astri says, hugging his arm.

"I knew you liked it." Tyr chuckles and kisses her head.

"Who was more obvious about courting you? Tyr or me?" Koa asks, walking to Astri.

"Tyr."

"How so? I thought it was obvious that I wanted to be with you."

"Well, whenever you and I talked was romantic in other ways. Tyr was like ’I can imagine you are smiling now, with those lips I dream of tasting’."

All of them were impressed. They didn’t know Tyr was so upfront like that.

"You were romantic, saying things like ’I want to become a better male worthy of you’ or ’Please, be careful. You are the only female I want, and if I lose you, I won’t ever find another female.’" Astri tells.

"That was smooth, too." Dieg says.

"I can see the difference. I was more respectful." Koa smirks at Tyr.

Tyr rolls his eyes.

"No. Each of you has your personalities and ways that are unique, and all of you won my heart just being yourselves." Astri says.

They walked outside and saw the warriors training. They stayed there to watch, and that made the warriors want to train harder since Astri was there watching somehow. Astri didn’t pay much attention, actually, she was sewing.

Caris and Carist were watching her, curious to understand what she was sewing, so they stood behind her, watching over her head.

"Oh! I think I am understanding what that is!" Caris says.

"What is it?" Yuki asks.

"An experiment that I believe it will work very well." Astri says, smiling, and then she raises it to show them.

"Is that.. A half dress?" Hopin asks.

"It is a vest. Come here, Aurora."

Astri brings Astri behind a tree where no one is watching, and helps her put on the vest. The vest has buttons on the front, but the straps that go above the shoulders are not as wide as a normal vest because the back has a U-form that covers only until under her scapula, leaving the area where her wings appear free.

"Wow.. It has pockets." Aurora says, putting her fingers in the pockets on her sides.

"You can use it to carry whatever you want. Now, when you half shift, you won’t have to worry about your tube top falling. I always noticed that our tube tops rip a little or are pushed down when we half shift. You can wear it the way it is or under your kimono." Astri explains.

"This is amazing, mom! Thank you!" Aurora hugs Astri, and then half shifts.

It worked the way Astri wanted; the vest is not ripped. Aurora flies happily. The others looked at her flying and wearing the best. Albus quickly removed the top part of his kimono and flew up to follow his sister.

"That is awesome! It doesn’t get ripped." Albus points at the vest.

"And I can carry things with me." Aurora says.

She is happier because it is something her mother made for her.

"Mom! Can I get one for me?" Albus asks.

"Sure, sweetheart." Astri answers.

Astri sits back where she was.

"I still have to add some details and make it prettier, but that is the main idea. And it worked very well." Astri says.

"We can help make more." Carist says excitedly.

"You can make some for me. For them, let me do it so there’s no fight."

"For feathered females that are not adults is always a problem half shifting because the tube top falls or rips." Lee smiles, watching his daughter.

"Aww.. I want one, too." Yuki pouts.

Astri chuckles, patting her back and head.

"I will make for you, too, but with a pocket big enough to carry your little notebook. What do you think?" Astri says.

"That would be amazing! Thank you, mom."

"Now that I’m forbidden from doing many things by your fathers because I’m feeling a bit weak, I will have plenty of time to make you vests."

They sit around, talking to each other. Astri keeps on sewing, but also pays attention to Reigan playing with Atlas, Albus, and Aurora playing catch in the sky, and Elias, Kai, and Hopin training together. Yuki is drawing as usual; she likes training, but she would rather stay near her mother.

A female walks by, looking at Hopin training, and smiles.

"What are you, handsome? I never smelled your kind before?" The female asks him.

"He is rabbit." One of her males answers with a mocking smile.

"A rabbit? Oh.. He is at least handsome. I can be your spouse if you want." The female says to Hopin.

Elias and Kai laugh, and Hopin only smiles.

"Why are you laughing?" Another male asks, not happy that his female is being mocked.

"Nothing. I am not looking after a female. With all due respect." Hopin says.

"You are very sure of yourself for not accepting an offer from a female. How many marks do you have?" The female asks.

"Four."

"Oh.. That is... Impressive. You look so young."

Hopin doesn’t answer and makes a sign to his brothers to keep on training.
