Chapter 245: Visiting The Great Wall City

Seiryuu and Renzai spent only a day in the United Tribes, and went back to keep on track the preparations of what they are calling ’The Goddess’ Palace.’ Astri likes to call it ’Tsukihina Home’, because the United Tribes Castle is also her home.

Astri goes with the girls to clean Xzan, Dante, and Dieg’s graves, guarded by Skalven, Kangki, and the other children.

"Mom, why didn’t fathers Xzan and Dante didn’t come back to life like father Dieg? They also loved you until the end." Yuki asks.

"It is not only a matter of love. There are other kinds of circumstances. When Dieg died, I had never shifted. I believe that when I shifted, his soul, which was dormant, awakened along with my powers, since spouses have a soul connection. Xzan and Dante weren’t bound to my soul yet, either.. Of course, his love and desire to save me also made his soul not pass all stages of death." Astri explains.

"All stages of death? What is that?" Hopin asks.

"First of all. Death is not the end. It hurts more the ones who stay than the ones who die. There are many stages of death. Monsters, for example, go through the first stage of death. Their soul is connected to evil, that is what keeps their bodies functioning, but they don’t have a heartbeat or feelings anymore."

"You brought father Kangki back from death?" Elias asks.

"Basically, yes. His soul was still connected to his body, and with the time he spent next to me, his soul was waking up slowly. And when he decided to accept his feelings, and mine, he came back to life."

"How was it, father Kangki?" Kai asks Kangki.

"Painful and refreshing." Kangki answers.

"How many stages of death exist?" Hopin keeps on asking.

Astri always answered their questions, even though some were hard to explain.

"I would like to know, too. Being in connection with Nature, you can know all details about life and death." Kangki says to Astri.

"Not actually. There are people who, even though they are not like me entirely, watched and felt many things from Nature that made them develop an understanding of some things." She chuckles, and then straightens her back.

She noticed some people around, like they were pretending they were just hanging out next to the fence, but they were actually listening to Astri. Many people always try to stay around while Astri is out, to attempt many things, such as learning or getting her attention somehow.

"Have you ever thought of how only a few are suited to be leaders?" Astri asks her children.

"No, but how is that related to stages of death?" Hopin says, confused.

"Everything. A soul never dies entirely. It can be reborn many times. But when it is reborn, it doesn’t have all entire memories from its previous lives. The mind is a very big thing, and you would be impressed with how your mind can change around you. Inside your mind, there is the conscious part of the mind, which is everything you know you are thinking and doing, and there is the subconscious, where there are the things you don’t even know that you are thinking. Do you know how many steps you took today? How did you open the door? How many times have you breathed? All of that is in your subconscious mind. Now I ask you: which one takes most of our minds?"

"I would say.. The subconscious, since it keeps us breathing." Atlas says.

"That is a good point, and it is true, but not only for that. Imagine a hotpot; the conscious part would be the meat. But what makes the hotpot delicious is not the meat only, it is the vegetables, the seasoning, the pot, the water, and the rock fruits. All of that together makes the meat so good. All that is the subconscious part. It is the biggest and most important part of the mind, because it directly affects the conscious part. And what is that connected to the death stages? We carry in our subconscious mind things from our past lives. That is why some people look more developed or natural at some things in life. Does that mean that your destiny is determined? No, you can always choose to do different things. The phases of death are basically phases the soul goes through until it feels ready to go back to life and do all over again." Astri explains the best way she can for them to understand. "That is why we need to have good habits! Good habits fill our subconscious mind and energy directly, affecting our lives and others too."

"Good habits.. And those practices we learn from the Mizuryuus?" Yuki asks.

"That is important to enhance your subconscious mind and keep your energy good, balanced, and open to keep growing. As you grow, the more connected to Nature you are. Your soul is connected to Nature. If our soul is connected to our subconscious mind, and it is connected to Nature, that means if our subconscious mind is more enhanced, we are more connected to Nature." Astri answers.

"I think I understand better now... I think."

"It is hard. I took long to understand this, too."

After finishing cleaning the graves, they walk back to the castle.

"We are finished. Are you guys ready?" Astri asks her spouses.

"Yes. We are ready to go." Lee answers.

"Did you talk to King Klark?" Astri asks Claud.

"I did. He’s waiting for us." Claud answers.

"Nice. Let’s go, then."

Claud and Kangki make a portal together, and when they step through it, they are at the front of the Great Wall City’s front gates. King Klark was in the front with his guards, and opened a wide smile when he saw Astri and Tyr.

"My King. Welcome back." King Klark says.

"King Klark, my old friend! I’m not a King anymore." Tyr says, and then hugs Klark as old friends.

"You will always be a King here." Klark says, then looks at Astri. "And Queen Astri."

"Queen." Astri snorts. "I’m happy to see that you are fine and growing this Kingdom, King Klark."

"And I am happy to see you back. Everyone was looking after you for so many years."

"I appreciate you for everything."

"Where you were was cold? Want to come inside and stay next to the fire?" He asks, looking at their different clothes.

Tyr explains about the clothes and that they are wearing them because Astri likes them. Astri gets shy to know that they only use it because of the way she reacts to them when they are wearing it.

While they are walking to the castle, they pass through the market and then Caris and Carist stop to buy some different silk colors to make some sewn clothes and bed sheets. Astri gave them time to buy whatever they wanted, and talked to them to make them feel comfortable since the sellers weren’t understanding the mood and voice tones swing. Astri was sad to think that they had stopped sewing and creating new tapestries for 8 years, and the reason was that they also never stopped looking after her.

At the castle, they are given special bedrooms to stay, but before getting ready for the feast, they are brought to have the meeting Astri wanted to have with Klark to tell him the ideas they are applying at United Tribes, and they will also apply at Dinosaur Kingdom. The meeting was long, so Astri told her children that they could take Caris and Carist, Kenzou, Skalven, and Galion to walk around the city if they wanted, and they accepted it.

While they were walking around the courtyard, they saw guards training, and then they sat around to watch.

After the meeting, Astri goes to her bedroom and keeps sewing her projects. After getting tired of sewing, Astri decides to get ready for dinner. While walking, they are met with a female they have never seen before. Followed by her spouses, the female looked at Astri as if she were trash and crazy for wearing those different clothes, and kept waltzing in the same direction.

Before opening the door, the female turns around and looks at Astri again.

"Where are you going?" The female asks Astri.

"Have dinner?" Astri says, as the most obvious answer.

The children and the others with them met with them, and listened to the way the female talked to Astri.

"Only court ladies are allowed inside. And I have no memory of counselors finding a female or the King accepting a Queen." The female says.

"Oh, right. Thank you for warning us, dear." Astri says, sarcastically, and walks past her and opens the door.

The female’s mouth fell open with Astri’s response, and her family passed through with smiles on their faces as they were proud of Astri.

"Wait! Who do you think you are?" The female storms after Astri.

The female stops in front of Astri, pushing her chest. Astri raises an eyebrow as a warning, but she didn’t have to say anything because Klark jumped from his seat and stepped in between the female and Astri.

"What are you doing, Lady Tina?" Klark asks.
