Beast Taming: Starting From Zero
Chapter 798: The Third Time

"Finished your drink?" Qiao Sang looked at Little Treasure and asked.

"Xun xun~"

Little Treasure nodded.

"Go into the Beast Codex, it's safer." Qiao Sang said.

"Xun xun..."

Little Treasure was about to say that with Big Brother Yabao around, there was nothing to be afraid of. But then he recalled the ones they encountered earlier in the forest, each of them seemed stronger than Yabao. With a sigh, he nodded.

With a wave of her hand, Qiao Sang recalled Little Treasure into the Beast Codex.

The airport in the 30th District was the safest transportation facility in the entire area. Normally, wild pet beasts wouldn't enter the interior zones, so she didn't need Yabao and the others to constantly stay outside to guard her.

Compared to herself, Little Treasure was more likely to be targeted now.

The young man and the blond youth exited the restroom just in time to see Qiao Sang putting the Ghost Ring King into the Codex. Their faces changed instantly.

In their contingency plan, if Ogav didn't arrive in time, their target would be the Ghost Ring King.

Now that the Ghost Ring King had been recalled, their plan had collapsed before it even began.

They exchanged glances and turned back toward the men's restroom.

The middle-aged man who had just finished his business and was washing his hands saw them come in again and gave them a look that clearly said, "You're back again?"

The young man was silent for a moment, then entered one stall, pointed to the next one, and deliberately said loudly, "You take the one next to mine."

The blond youth had already intended to, and immediately entered the adjacent stall.

Soon after, the box-shaped small pet beast lifelessly climbed onto the top divider between the stalls. Its eyes glowed blue as it cast an invisible barrier that enveloped the two stalls.

Young people these days... The middle-aged man shook his head and walked out of the restroom.

"Qiao Sang put the Ghost Ring King into the Beast Codex. What should we do now?" The blond youth asked.

"How long until the others arrive?" The young man replied with a question.

Their expressions turned serious, like robbers being told the police were nearby.

The blond youth thought for a moment and said, "The ferry area has the most wild pet beasts. Except for Franly, who's stationed there, the others should arrive within the hour."

The young man's tone turned ruthless: "No need to wait for Franly. Once the others arrive-"

Just when the blond youth thought he was going to say attack Qiao Sang, he heard instead: "We'll sabotage the plane Qiao Sang is going to take."

The blond youth: ...

"Actually, if it's just about damaging the plane, the two of us should be enough." He couldn't help but say.

"It's not as simple as you think." The young man said darkly.

"You've never been to the 30th District, you don't know this, but to prevent wild pet beasts from causing damage, they've hired dedicated Beast masters to guard the planes."

The blond youth asked cautiously, "How many Beast masters? What level?"

"Not sure. We'll find out once we check it out." The young man said.

To be honest, this was his first time in the 30th District. But his elders had been there and mentioned a few things, though he didn't know the details.

Having finalized the plan, the two exited the restroom and headed directly for the glass corridor overlooking the airfield to scout out how they could disable the aircraft long enough to prevent takeoff.

Soon, they reached the corridor and looked outside through the glass.

A dozen planes were parked.

High in the sky, a plane was descending.

Just as it was about to land, a roughly three-meter-tall, dirt-yellow, scaly, rodent-like beast suddenly emerged a few hundred meters ahead.

With a wicked grin, it opened its mouth, and a beam of white light began gathering in its throat.

The descending plane was still taxiing forward.

The two men widened their eyes in shock.

At that moment, a massive gravitational force seemed to press down on the dirt-yellow beast.

"Yin yin!"

Its shoulders sank, and it let out a painful scream as it was slammed into the ground.

Immediately after, two yellow heads poked out of the damaged earth.

They unleashed a skill that generated rock and soil.

In an instant, the three-meter-wide crater was filled.

The plane smoothly passed over the area.

After it came to a complete stop, the cabin doors opened, and passengers disembarked safely, completely unaware of the danger they had just narrowly avoided.

The young man seemed to realize something and looked toward the corner, where a crocodilian-type pet beast, about 60 cm in size, wearing a Lightweight miniaturization bracelet on its paw, mostly light brown with a white underbelly and many black stripes, was lying.

"It's a King-level pet beast, Heavy-Suspension Crocodile." The young man said in a low voice.

"I took a rough count, around the airfield, there are at least two King-level beasts, five General-level beasts, and ten High-rank beasts. All of them wear work tags, though I couldn't spot their Beast masters." The blond youth reported after scanning the area.

For a moment, silence fell.

They exchanged looks, and for the third time, returned to the restroom.

"Looks like the plan has to change again." The young man said inside the stall.

"What are you thinking?" The blond youth asked.

"Rather than sabotaging the plane, I think ambushing Qiao Sang gives us a better chance of success." The young man explained.

The blond youth hesitated.

"But two of her pet beasts have Super-tier skills."

"Then we separate her from them." The young man said seriously.

"She's already recalled the Ghost Ring King. If we can tie her up, bind her hands, and get her beyond the sensing range of a C-rank Beast master, she won't be able to summon the rest. Her combat power would drop by at least 90%. Nothing to be afraid of then."

The blond youth thought for a moment and nodded.

"Alright. Do we handle it ourselves, or wait for backup?"

"No need to wait. I've already warmed her up to me. The longer we wait, the harder it gets to make a move." The young man decided.

They finished their discussion and exited the restroom one after the other.

But she was gone.

Qiao Sang was no longer at the spot where she had been sitting.

The two scanned the area, but she was nowhere in sight.

The young man frowned deeply.

Even though the airport had quite a few people, Qiao Sang's appearance, plus the three pet beasts that had never appeared on Chaosu Star, would make her stand out in any crowd.

But now, they couldn't spot her at all.

Something was off.

Could she have sensed something was wrong and deliberately hidden herself?

As the young man was flooded with possibilities, the blond youth approached a nearby staff member, pointed to Qiao Sang's original seat, and asked: "Did you see where the girl from Dragon Nation who was sitting here went?"

He paused, then added, "We're her friends."

Though their temperaments differed, their shared aura of nobility and arrogance clearly marked them as not being from the Lower Ten Districts.

The staff member didn't suspect anything and replied: "She went to the VIP lounge to rest."
