Banished Hero: I just want to live in peace on a deserted island -
Chapter 39: Good nights
Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Good nights
The image of the goddess disappeared, leaving only the god of time.
"The goddess is sensitive about that topic, don’t take it the wrong way, child... but since she’s lost her head, she couldn’t really tell you why we’re here... gods can’t interfere with mortals more than necessary, so we insert small parts of our power without anyone noticing... Soulneth loves to spy, you could say she’s a voyeur, and I’m the only one who can satisfy her desires by showing her all the beings in the river of time... good luck on your journey, give us a little more fun."
The two disappeared, leaving more questions than answers. Even though the damage I received wasn’t physical, I could still feel the binds of those vines on my body and all the pain in my veins. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself; this had been a truly dangerous experience.
The skill screen was open, displaying a large list of special guild abilities... unfortunately, there weren’t many options since our guild was barely level 1.
I had 6 guild points, 5 elementless cores that could be used as substitute material, and one earth core. The best option was:
[Intruder Detection System]
A system that surrounds the guild’s perimeter, alerting guild leaders about possible invasions.
It cost 6 points and 1 core of any element. I used the goblin core, saving the remaining 5 cores for potential future emergencies.
I removed my hand from the pillar and watched a translucent wave emanate from it. After a few seconds, a notification appeared in my status window.
[Detection System deployed]
[Activate/Deactivate]
I pressed "activate" without hesitation, and immediately several red dots appeared on my territory map. I could see their levels and the description of the monsters.
[Kobold Captain Lvl 25]
[Kobold Soldier Lvl 20]
There were about 20 Kobolds prowling the area where we had killed the goblins. It was strange that there wasn’t a single Sealakel; perhaps they had learned their lesson upon finding two of their comrades murdered with large holes in their chests.
I ignored the alerts and set the alarm level to 3 tiers.
Level 1 was when any objective considered hostile entered the guild’s territory.
Level 2 was when a hostile objective approached the goblin zone but didn’t pass through the hidden path leading to the village.
Level 3 was when any objective entered the area within 100 meters around the village.
With these configurations, I hoped to be able to react in time in case of an emergency.
I left the pillar and remembered the goddess’s words. I activated [Lunar Senses] and saw how the interface changed; it now showed other letters and even options I couldn’t see before. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t activate them. Perhaps these are options I will unlock in the future if I survive.
I checked my abilities and noticed that below the normal description, there was a second writing that seemed to blend with the original text.
[Lunar Senses lvl 1]: Night vision, and enhanced hearing, "Under the moonlight there can be no darkness" // "Can see through everything, through lies, emotions, sensations, even life itself."
[Beast Tamer lvl 1]: A seal that allows the user to enslave a human or non-human target. // The Tamer’s seal cannot be removed by anyone except the caster, allows viewing the slave’s location, can brainwash or cause harm to the slave who tries to go against the Tamer’s wishes.
[Temporal Evaluation lvl 1]: Allows revealing the secrets of any object, even its past, to better know its future. // Allows viewing everything from the perspective of the evaluated object.
Now the abilities showed much more valuable information; not even the system itself was safe, but it was too powerful and seemed to block me. I wondered how I could make the system stronger to be able to see even through the system itself.
"Leader, dinner’s ready. Would you like to join us?"
A feminine voice broke me out of my distraction. It was Karely, inviting me to dinner. When I looked at her, I was quite surprised. I could see that her breasts, waist, buttocks, and pussy were blue, but her ears were the only place that had an intense pink color.
I could clearly see her desires, but that wasn’t all. Above her head floated a series of numbers: 93%, 100%. I didn’t know what they were, but they hovered above her head. I focused on the numbers, but nothing happened. Then I remembered my other ability. I didn’t know if it would work, but I had nothing to lose by trying.
[Temporal Evaluation]
[Favorability Indicator]: Shows the level of favorability felt towards the caster.
[Horny Indicator]: Shows how horny the person being evaluated is.
Karely’s levels were insane; it seemed she liked me very much, and at this moment, she desperately wanted a cock. I wanted to take advantage of her, but her daughter Seraph arrived. She had the numbers 100 and 0. Apparently, she considered me her hero, but she had no sexual desires at this moment.
"Mommy, they’re waiting for us to serve. Should I tell them you’re coming or to wait?"
Seraph said these words in a low voice, as if she were only speaking to Karely, but I knew they were directed at me.
"Let’s go, let’s not keep the others waiting."
We arrived at the tables. Neither Manaia nor Zyra were there yet. Some asked me if I had seen them, especially Vira. I told them they were resting because I had been injured and Manaia had overexerted herself healing me.
Dinner continued. It was some rice and grilled beef steaks; everything was delicious. I finished quickly and headed to Manaia’s hut to lie down. Upon arriving, I could only hear Manaia’s slow breathing. I lay down behind her, placing my cock between her buttocks, embracing her from behind to sleep comfortably.
I began to caress her soft body, her curves brought me great peace. As I drifted to sleep, I firmly held her tits before descending into the world of dreams.
