Chapter 1332: Chapter 1351 Forgiveness

"Bei Jiang, can you forgive me?" Wei Qin asked weakly, his voice filled with expectation.

"I was never angry." Huo Beijiang’s voice was hoarse, "How could I be mad at you! You know I never hold grudges, any anger I have is immediately released, any revenge is instantly exacted."

"Bei Jiang, thank you." Thank you, my childhood friend, my best buddy.

After finishing, Wei Qin gently hung up the phone, his body leaning against the soft sofa, his slender frame nearly swallowed whole by it. His exposed skin was frighteningly pale, but his eyes were unusually bright.

In just half a month, Wei Qin’s vitality had rapidly faded away. Or rather, most of it had been drained since the last emergency surgery, and his continued survival was thanks to his stubborn will to live.

He had always been overextending his life, and now that he had found and reconciled with his younger brother, he was tired and could no longer hold on.

Jiang Yang stood opposite him, gazing at him with fiery eyes, his expression a mix of confusion and incomprehension.

It seemed he still didn’t understand what death was.

Little Wang stood behind him, silently crying, gasping for breath between sobs.

"Wei Qin, let’s go to the hospital! Let the professor think of something."

"No need." Wei Qin smiled gently, his smile as charming as ever.

"But!"

"I know, I know myself, it’s alright." Wei Qin said, looking at Jiang Yang, gently ruffling his hair, "Little brother, shall we go to the military school together?" Before leaving, he wanted to see that young girl one more time.

Just one last look, and he’d be satisfied.

"Okay!" Jiang Yang nodded, helping Wei Qin into the wheelchair.

In the winter-season campus, the environment was desolate; the trees on both sides of the road were bare, not even a single leaf in sight. When there were no afternoon classes, Nan Fei and Fu Xinwu loved to spend time in the library. The two of them were actually quite alike, particularly blessed in their studies.

On the contrary, He Shasha was the restless type, gathering a large group of friends around her every day. Amongst them were many boys, all conquered by her martial prowess.

The two sat surrounded by people in the library, all whispering about He Shasha, who had recently become very conspicuous.

It was said that she had issued duel challenges to the specially recruited students and had already achieved seven consecutive victories.

"I seriously underestimated He Shasha before; I didn’t expect her to be so formidable, no wonder my uncle took notice of her." Fu Xinwu said boredly, resting her cheek on one hand.

Recently, she had been angry with Wei Qin, so she hadn’t gone to peek at him, and suddenly she had a lot of free time, making her feel off. She hung around Nan Fei every day, to keep a close watch, firmly carrying out the task her uncle had assigned to her.

Nan Fei looked up from her book, smiling yet not smiling, "Your uncle didn’t value her for her fighting skills."

"Then why?"

"It’s because of me! That’s why your uncle gave her a leg up."

"..." Fu Xinwu: "Subtle, be subtle!"

"Ah! Okay." Nan Fei said, then lowered her head again to continue reading. Lately, her eyesight had become worse; the sudden blackouts she had while in the courtyard were happening more and more frequently.

A trace of worry flickered in Nan Fei’s downcast eyes.

Her time was really running out, she had gotten into university, but could no longer study as she wished.

She may appear calm now, even a bit mad, but at night, she was so frightened that she couldn’t sleep. The panic of going blind far outweighed the threat of possible death; she had died in a past life, and she knew once a person dies, there’s nothing left.
