Chapter 1248: Chapter 1267 Smear
"She doesn’t want to compete with your sister; she just wants to please my aunt," Leng Tianqi said bluntly, "Once she has won over my aunt, there will be no place for us."
"That’s even more impossible," Zhuanzhuan sighed wearily. "Go make a phone call for me, tell them I’m seriously injured in the hospital because of Jiang Nanfei." She then gave Leng Tianqi the phone number.
"Whose number is this?"
"It’s my dad’s." Zhuanzhuan urged impatiently, "Hurry up, don’t waste time."
"Okay!" Leng Tianqi quickly went to make the call, and came back about a quarter of an hour later. As soon as he entered, he announced, "Your dad is extremely worried; he said he will come right away."
"Huh!" Zhuanzhuan sneered, not at all surprised that Jiang Dechun would come. She knew better than anyone that her dad would definitely come.

Jiang Dechun, who had been busy at the factory, suddenly received a phone call and hung up drenched in sweat. He hastily left the correspondence room and went to the cafeteria to find Zhang Fengmei, blurting out as soon as he saw her, "Has Nan Fei called back yet?"
"She called a couple of days ago," Zhang Fengmei, who was helping the cafeteria’s cooking lady wash vegetables, didn’t pay much attention to his words, which unexpectedly made Jiang Dechun suddenly burst into a rage, startling her.
"What is she trying to do? I knew her bad habits can’t be changed. It hasn’t been long since she behaved, and now her old problems are flaring up again?"
Zhang Fengmei, taken aback and confused, soon realized her husband was scolding Nan Fei. From a young age, Nan Fei was not as obedient or worry-free as Zhuanzhuan, but anyone with eyes could see the girl’s contributions to the family.
How could Jiang Dechun, as a father, speak about his own child like that?
"What are you talking about? What are you ranting about?" Zhang Fengmei wiped her hands dry and came out from the rear section, scolding unhappily, "Isn’t Nan Fei good enough? Are you blind? Can’t you see all she does for the family?"
Zhang Fengmei grew angry as she spoke. Previously, when she pressured Nan Fei to drop out of high school to marry, she, as a mother, couldn’t do much due to her son, and now, if anyone dared speak ill of Nan Fei again, she would fight them.
The cafeteria’s cook, hearing the bosses arguing, tucked her neck in and hid in the back kitchen, not daring to come out.
"I know about her contributions, but her whimsical and arrogant moments outshine everyone else," Jiang Dechun’s eyes reddened as he pointed at Zhang Fengmei’s nose and chastised, "From now on, show me less favoritism and be nicer to Zhuanzhuan. Look where your heart is skewed! When you were younger, every time we went shopping for clothes, you secretly bought some for Nan Fei. Why make Zhuanzhuan wear old clothes?"
How many years ago was that trivial matter? Besides, wasn’t it normal for families to hand down clothing from the elder child to the younger ones back then, given the financial conditions? Children grow quickly; didn’t every family buy bigger sizes?
"I think you’re just confused," Zhang Fengmei baffled, "Are you alright? Did something trigger you? Or is it Zhuanzhui?" Her husband had always been overprotective of their second child and had scolded Nan Fei several times for Zhuanzhuan. She couldn’t think of any other reason.
"I... I am about to be driven to death by Nan Fei," Jiang Dechun sighed, "Forget it! I’ll take a trip to Imperial City; you stay home and take care." With that, he turned and walked out the door, only to stop suddenly and impetuously add, "Since Jiang Yang’s foster brother has come from Imperial City, I’ll ask him to go back to his own home once I’m there!"
