"I came to see you," Leng Tianqi said in a placating tone. "You’ve suffered such a serious injury you almost died. I waited for you all day yesterday and didn’t get any news until this morning from a teacher."

Zhuanzhuan glanced coldly at Leng Tianqi.

"Didn’t your sister come to see you? How could she do this? You are her own sister; it’s just too heartless. Has she lost all conscience?" Leng Tianqi spoke indignantly and with irritation.

"It’s just too much, considering how good you’ve been to Jiang Nanfei. I thought only our family had such problems."

The Leng family was complicated, with frequent struggles for power where paying with one’s life for failure was not uncommon. If she ever came into power, she was determined to be the first to kill Leng Ran.

"Shut your mouth," Zhuanzhuan snapped.

Leng Tianqi looked hurt. "Jiang Zhuanzhuan, how can you not recognize good intentions? I’m talking to you as a friend. Look at yourself now; you and Jiang Nanfei are no longer in the same world. She is a brilliant military school student with a bright future, while you? You’ve come to Dark Street, and your path can only grow darker. The paths you and your sister are taking are already entirely divergent."
