Chapter 520: Chapter 519: Resentful Qi from the Underworld Reaches the Sky

"The Buddha of Hell didn’t see it, but his attendant Du Ting was watching," said Yao Qian, finding it amusing himself, "Tell me, why would Lord Du Ting, who obviously knows everything happening under the sky, still want a mobile phone to watch live-streams?"

Mianmian didn’t know the answer to that question either.

Yao Qian’s mobile phone was already connected to the video, and he held it towards Mianmian, mainly trying to find the best angle to film himself.

The ghosts of the Underworld were originally worried about how Mianmian was doing, but then they suddenly received a notification for "Little Auntie’s number one Ghost Fan" going live and clicked on the top Ghost Fan’s broadcast in a flurry.

Upon entering, they were surprised to see Mianmian eating.

The ghosts were stunned.

[Yao Qian, what’s going on? Did our Little Auntie also join us?]

[Please don’t, I was hoping Little Auntie would hold more fortune-telling live broadcasts, maybe my ill-fated great-grandchild could get picked next time?]

[Without Little Auntie educating the living about the Underworld, which young people would frequently burn paper money for us? Little Auntie can’t become a ghost!]

Seeing these ghosts talking nonsense, Yao Qian hurriedly explained, "Don’t talk rubbish, I’m here on official business, specially representing our several Ghost Envoy superiors to visit Little Auntie. Didn’t want everyone to worry, so I tried using a mobile phone to host a live-stream for you all to see."

"Look, Little Auntie is quite spirited now and is still eating. Isn’t she obedient and adorable, someone to be respected?"

Mianmian couldn’t help but laugh; Yao Qian’s way of talking was so funny.

She waved at the mobile phone, "Yes, Mianmian didn’t go to the Underworld, I’m currently eating, sorry to have made everyone worry."

The little one’s smile was just as sweet as always, but her face was abnormally pale.

The ghosts of the Underworld were excited: It’s good that Little Auntie is fine! No matter what, Little Auntie has been a blessing to their descendants, and she herself is so adorable.

Those darned bad people, how could they pick on Little Auntie like that?

The ghosts together silently cursed Hu Yaoyao and Hu Xiaohong, and for a moment the resentment in the Underworld soared to the sky.

The Buddha of Hell sensed the resentment of the ghosts in the Underworld and shook his head helplessly, chanting a Buddhist mantra under his breath. In front of him, Du Ting was holding up the mobile phone with his nose.

Mianmian didn’t realize that the ghosts in the Underworld were cursing the villains for her; she finished a bowl of egg custard and showed the empty bowl to the people in the Underworld, "Look, Mianmian is all done eating."

The high-class chef in the room felt a chill, as if Mianmian was live-streaming.

Su Chenfei noticed and quickly reassured the chef, "Don’t be scared, Chef. It must be the Ghost Envoy from the Underworld coming up to visit Little Auntie. Little Auntie is now assuring the Gods and Ghosts of the Underworld that she’s safe, no worries."

The chef had actually guessed as much.

With a dragon already by Little Auntie’s side, communicating with a Ghost Envoy seemed quite normal.

"Um, Little Auntie," Yao Qian, seeing a message pop up on the live stream, nervously spoke to Mianmian, "Lord Du Ting says he wants to eat apples again, when can you send him some more?"

Mianmian smiled brightly, "I’ll send some right away."

She had just finished eating and it was the perfect time to send some things to everyone in the Underworld who cared about her.

Sending things to the Gods and Ghosts of the Underworld was quite simple; just light up incense, then silently chant their names.

Mianmian took some of the stored fruits from her small bag, lit them, and sent them off to the Underworld.

After watching Mianmian finish sending things to the Underworld, Yao Qian hurriedly told the ghosts that the live stream was over, then rubbed his hands together like a fly in front of Mianmian, "Um, Little Auntie, we can’t burn money for ourselves down here in the mortal world, see?"

Mianmian understood what Yao Qian meant and took out the paper money from her small bag to burn for him.

Yao Qian, receiving the money, grinned widely, showing off his white teeth and laughing, "Then you go ahead with your business, I won’t bother you any longer."

As the words fell, Yao Qian had already vanished in a wisp of smoke.

Mianmian slowly climbed down from the bed, "Mianmian is full, going to see Shi Ye now."

Before her little feet could touch the ground, she was scooped up by Su Chenjin.

"Your great-nephew will carry you outside."

Mianmian nestled quietly in Su Chenjin’s arms, with a light "mm" in agreement.

She saw it; her great-nephew looked like he was about to cry when he saw her wake up. It was Seventh grandchild’s playfulness that kept him from actually crying. He must have been really worried about her—very, very worried—to act like that.

Seeing her family cry so much for her and everyone worried, she wouldn’t take risks on purpose anymore.

She had thought that Fen Tian wouldn’t fall for it if she didn’t get hurt. That’s why she did it.

Mianmian quietly reflected on her actions.

At this time, Su Chenjin had already brought her outside a room.

Chu Qi just happened to come out, his icy face still emotionless except for the worry in his eyes.

Seeing Mianmian, his eyes lit up slightly, "Little Auntie, have you come to visit Shi Ye?"

Mianmian nodded, "Yes, I heard he seems to be injured. What did you talk to him about? Is he alright?"

Chu Qi looked down, "He wouldn’t tell me what happened to him."

Mianmian responded, "Then I’ll go in and ask him. After all, he came here because of the show, and if he’s injured, Mianmian is responsible."

Having said that, she looked at Su Chenjin, asking to be put down.

Su Chenjin didn’t want Mianmian to walk a step, and instead of her, he knocked on the door and inquired on her behalf, "Mr. Shi Ye? My Little Auntie would like to have a private chat with you."

Silence filled the room for a long time.

minutes later, a voice from inside finally came through, "Come in."

Su Chenjin then opened the door and frowned at the utter darkness inside the room. Using the light from the doorway, he placed Mianmian on a chair in the room.

Sitting comfortably, Mianmian softly spoke to Su Chenjin, "Don’t worry, great-nephew, wait outside for Mianmian."

Su Chenjin nodded, then cast another glance at Shi Ye lying in the bed before turning to leave.

The door closed again, plunging the room into darkness.

Shi Ye shifted on the bed a couple of times, making no move to start a conversation.

Mianmian, remembering Shi Ye’s lively smile as he pinched her face that day, found the current silence from Shi Ye quite odd and thus asked, "Shi Ye, were you bullied by the bad people?"

A child’s question lacks precision.

Shi Ye remained silent for quite some time before finally speaking, "If such a powerful person as Little Auntie can be hurt, it seems there’s nothing wrong with me being bullied, right?"

His tone was laden with deep resentment.

Mianmian caught on to that and clenched the sleeping pants she was holding, sighed, and said, "You’re blaming Mianmian."

"How would I dare?" Shi Ye’s voice trembled slightly, "I wouldn’t dare to blame you, just myself."

"Then if you’re not blaming Mianmian, tell me what happened to you," Mianmian followed Shi Ye’s line of thought, not caring whether his words implied more.

Shi Ye was frustrated by Mianmian’s directness.

That’s the annoying thing about children; they can’t even detect the hidden meanings in someone’s words.
