Chapter 184: Chapter 183: Someone Hasn’t Arrived Yet

Mianmian didn’t understand Rose’s words, her long eyelashes fluttered, "My great nephew’s wife? What great nephew’s wife? Where is she?"

With her mouth covered and giggling, Rose didn’t answer but turned and floated away.

Mianmian was confused and scratched her head, asking Liao An, "Do you know where Mianmian’s future great nephew’s wife is?"

Liao An did understand the meaning behind Rose’s words, since he and Mianmian didn’t grow up in the same environment. But whether Mianmian should know about these things, Liao An didn’t know either, as he had never interacted with normal children.

"Actually, it’s not certain," said Liao An, carefully choosing his tone, "It may not happen."

Mianmian became even more puzzled, "What do you mean ’it may not happen’?"

Liao An just laughed and didn’t speak anymore.

Mianmian had no choice but to look at Ying Fang and Ying Miao, "Do you guys know what Liao An is talking about?"

The two little zombies didn’t understand either, their pale faces and dark, shiny eyes gazing intently at Mianmian.

Mianmian nodded, "Alright, you don’t know either."

She turned her attention to Su Chaoyu and Su Chaoyang.

Then she discovered that the twins were sitting head to head on the chair, quietly discussing something.

Mianmian leaned against the back of the chair, suddenly missing her good friend Gu Youyou. She and Youyou often whispered to each other just like that. She wondered if Youyou had been eating well lately?

In Mianmian’s sorrowful thoughts of her good friend, the car arrived at its destination.

The driver parked in the parking lot, and the bodyguard from the passenger seat called the children to get out.

Su Chenjin had already been waiting by the door; as soon as the car stopped, he immediately reached out his arms and scooped up his little auntie to hold her.

He also wanted to sit with his little auntie, but the minibus had seats suitable only for children, apart from the driver and passenger seats. He, a giant measuring one meter ninety, would have to shrink and twist to fit in, which made it impossible for him to sit with his little auntie.

"Great nephew, if you’re going to get married, you must tell Mianmian in advance, okay?"

With his face held by little auntie, who also said something strange, Su Chenjin looked puzzled, "Huh? What marriage?"

Mianmian, seeing that Su Chenjin didn’t know either, blinked her eyes and said, "It’s something Rose mentioned. Rose said I’ll soon have a daughter-in-law. If it’s not you, my great nephew, could it be another great nephew?"

"My mom said that falling in love is a very important thing and you must inform the elders so they can oversee it. Great nephew, your previous engagement didn’t go well because Mianmian wasn’t there to oversee it!"

"Hehehe, Mianmian is very good at overseeing, you know."

Mianmian smiled with a bit of smugness.

It was mainly because she could read faces; even if she couldn’t predict the future sometimes, she could tell the person’s character—whether they were kind or unkind—just by their facial features.

For instance, Liu Anan, whom they had just met, had the face of a good person.

"Alright, I’ll definitely tell you first and let you help oversee," Su Chenjin replied to Mianmian, realizing why she had asked him that question.

It turned out that the lascivious female ghost was gossiping about him and Liu Anan.

What was with this female ghost and her obsession with these matters?

Disgusted with Rose, Su Chenjin carried his little auntie and walked towards the Amusement Park.

Jin Tai was already waiting there, with two people standing beside him—one male and one female, both dressed in casual clothes, and at a glance, their matching outfits looked like couple’s attire.

One was the owner and person in charge of the Amusement Park, and the other was the manager of the neighboring Zoo.

As Su Chenjin approached, the two introduced themselves.

"Mr. Su, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you. You really are quite the figure," said the middle-aged man, Chui Liang, with a big smile. "My name is Chui Liang."

"My name is Zhou Jing," said the middle-aged woman without much expression or warmth in her smile, "Hello."

"Hello," responded Su Chenjin, holding Mianmian with one arm and shaking hands with the two of them.

After shaking hands, Chui Liang elbowed Zhou Jing gently, his smile even more brilliant. Zhou Jing glanced at Chui Liang, her eyes filled with resignation.

Their families were capable enough to acquire such large tracts of land for an Amusement Park and Zoo in North City, so they had some status. However, they hadn’t dabbled in other businesses, which is why they didn’t have any contact with the wealthy Su Family.

No contact didn’t mean there was no information available.

Especially regarding Su Chenjin, the head of the Su Family and a pinnacle figure in the industry, there were many rumors about him. Descriptions such as decisive, unapproachable, autocratic, ruthless, petty, and so on, had all been applied to him.

When rumors build up, people who haven’t met Su Chenjin start to believe them.

Zhou Jing was one of those who held that belief.

Take the issue of wanting to acquire the Amusement Park, along with the adjacent Zoo for example. From the start, there were leaks suggesting that the Su Family had taken an interest in both the Lu Family’s Amusement Park and theirs.

There are only so many tactics in business; leaking both purchasing plans could only mean a desire to lower the price. Besides, there were indeed bad rumors about their Amusement Park, like children always crying and not enjoying themselves.

Zhou Jing didn’t mind price haggling, but what bothered her was the impromptu call from Su Chenjin stating he wanted to inspect the premises right around noon.

When such an important figure decides to visit, they certainly had to provide hospitality. But if it’s mealtime, wouldn’t they have to offer him a meal? The nearby area was the old district; where could they find a suitable place to entertain such a dignitary for lunch? It was obvious he was just taking advantage of them, giving them a hard time!

That’s why Zhou Jing suggested they might as well not meet. After all, Su Chenjin would probably just put on airs and they could leave the partnership to the Su Family and the Lu Family. She even doubted he would bother greeting them, let alone engage in polite handshakes—he might even disdain them as unclean.

But her husband said she was being too cynical, and they should meet first before making judgments. Perhaps Su Chenjin genuinely wanted to conduct an on-site inspection and wasn’t just using it as a front to drive down the acquisition cost.

Because of their disagreement, Zhou Jing even made a week-long household duties bet with her husband on whether Su Chenjin would shake hands with them.

And there it was, her husband was right. Su Chenjin wasn’t the kind of person she thought he was, and the bet was settled in her husband’s favor.

Zhou Jing, thinking back, felt a little embarrassed.

After all, she had just badmouthed him right before seeing the man himself.

"Mr. Su, this must be your little auntie, right? She’s adorable." Chui Liang, understanding his wife’s temperament, decided to defuse her mood, "My wife loves children. She opened the Amusement Park because of her affection for them."

"Is that so?" Su Chenjin’s expression softened, thinking that anyone who might like his little auntie could be a friend of the Su Family.

Chui Liang nudged Zhou Jing again.

Zhou Jing, getting her husband’s hint, hurriedly continued, "Yes, yes, come on, let me introduce some attractions in the Amusement Park that are suitable for your little auntie."

She was straightforward and headed into the Amusement Park.

"Just a moment, someone hasn’t arrived yet."

Su Chenjin said this as he looked into the distance, trying to spot where Liu Anan was.

The comment left Zhou Jing and Chui Liang feeling confused. Could it be that another member of the Su Family was expected to join them?
