As a Fisherman, My Fish Can Level Up -
Chapter 533 - 335: Sunken Ship Exploration (Completed)_2
Chapter 533: Chapter 335: Sunken Ship Exploration (Completed)_2
Clearly, the three bait cages were effective, having attracted some of the deep sea fish near the sunken ship as well as those inside the ship’s cabin.
"Phew~ finally done!" Fifty boxes of the catch were neatly arranged, and Chu Mingcheng stood with his hands on his hips, feeling greatly accomplished.
Although a lot of time was wasted on this trip to the Public Sea, the fish resources found were indeed much more abundant than those in domestic waters.
In the future, the catch he could get in the same one-week period would far exceed that of domestic waters.
Originally, a boat could bring in two million, but now it would definitely be more.
At the moment, there was still two-thirds of space left in the refrigerated storage. If it was also filled up, about forty Bluefin Tuna, each around two meters, could fit.
Upon returning, Chu Mingcheng planned to catch a ship full of Bluefin Tuna in the Public Sea near Japan, to see if this trip’s income could hit the jackpot.
But now, after having packed up the fishing rods and stepping out of the refrigerated storage, Chu Mingcheng donned a diving suit, took a net sack and a safety rope, and continued the search in the sunken ship.
Jumping into the water, he was once again enveloped by the familiar darkness.
A beam of light suddenly lit up in the ocean, where visibility was otherwise zero, and Chu Mingcheng found the direction and quickly swam towards the sunken ship.
It took less than two minutes to cover the three hundred and seventy plus meters.
Arriving at the deck of the sunken ship, Chu Mingcheng found that the school of fish attracted by the bait seemed to have not completely dispersed and the number had almost doubled since last night.
Unfortunately, there were no more foam boxes left on the ship, so he would have to come back later.
Chu Mingcheng first entered the corridor of the guest rooms on the left side of the first floor, where a small pile of miscellaneous items lay at the end of the corridor.
As he approached and used a spear to push aside some clothes, shoes, and trash bins on the surface, he indeed found two ladies’ handbags.
Opening the bags to check, he found only some cosmetics and other ladies’ products inside, along with a few balloons quite unexpectedly...
He continued moving a piece of clothing aside when suddenly a golden ring fell from it.
Chu Mingcheng’s eyes lit up, there really was something.
The ring wasn’t heavy, nor was it worth much, but at least it brought him the joy of discovery.
Unfortunately, after rummaging through the rest of the pile, he found nothing else of value.
He then moved on to the corridor on the right side to continue his search.
The items here were more interesting; there were two very old-fashioned brick-like cell phones.
Based on these phones, this Japanese ship must have sunk in the nineties.
But other than these two phones, there was nothing else noteworthy, so Chu Mingcheng had to swim up to the upper floors.
Surprisingly, he discovered quite a few surprises upstairs.
First, he found three necklaces in the second-floor corridor.
However, the biggest surprise was in the recreational area. The card players were wealthy people, and the sudden sinking of the ship caused these rich individuals to panic.
Chu Mingcheng found a box that was opened with valuable items scattered all around inside the entertainment room. It contained some jewelry, gold ornaments, and designer watches.
The box was trapped under a table and covered by a tablecloth, and had he not come back for another look, he would have missed this treasure chest.
After picking up the scattered items around and placing them back into the box, he searched even more diligently.
Regrettably, after spending over two hours turning everything upside down, he didn’t find anything else.
There was nothing significant on the fourth and fifth floors; everything had already been cleaned up neatly.
Chu Mingcheng took a brief look and then swam towards the cabins.
The cabins housed ordinary people who, in the event of trying to survive, had to rush to the deck where problems from overcrowding were naturally more likely to occur.
Several people had died and, consequently, there was an even greater mess of various items.
Chu Mingcheng did indeed find some valuable jewelry here, but compared with the treasures found in the box, these items were just a small fraction.
This time, he truly felt thoroughly satisfied.
When he emerged from the water with the safe, he was shocked to find that the sky had already started to brighten; he hadn’t expected that the search would take up an entire night.
After returning to the ship, he opened the safe and cleaned each piece of dirty jewelry, long covered with seaweed, with fresh water.
By the time he finished, the sky was already bright.
Chu Mingcheng weighed the gold he had retrieved, finding it to be just over two pounds and seven taels.
Picking up a big handful, he hadn’t expected it to be so light.
The pearl necklace and the agate pendant were of unknown value to Chu Mingcheng, so he took them to his bedroom and put them together with the other sunken treasures.
Afterward, he took a shower and used Life Conversion twice to refresh himself before coming out to prepare breakfast.
He wasn’t planning to sleep today. After breakfast and casually feeding the dog food, he greeted the killer whales and started the Sea God towards the nearest Bluefin Tuna gathering spot.
By observing the map, he saw that around one hundred nautical miles to his southwest there was a group of one hundred and thirty-seven Bluefin Tuna.
Around this gathering spot were also some scattered Bluefin Tuna.
Some of the scattered Golden Spearfish were in groups of three or four, others were solitary. Chu Mingcheng aimed for these.
Ever since he got the external map, he had noticed a pattern.
That was, the larger the group of Golden Spearfish, the less likely they were to be very big unless they were feeding in a large school.
Golden Spearfish have a large appetite, and it’s difficult to find enough food when gathered together.
Therefore, when they go out to hunt for food, the larger ones tend to go off on their own, maybe in pairs or with a couple of good friends.
After spending half the day traveling to the Bluefin Tuna hotspot, the killer whales immediately set out to hunt as soon as they spotted the fish.
Chu Mingcheng, meanwhile, started preparing lunch. After the meal was ready, he took it up to the flybridge to eat.
Every time there was a trail of fresh blood on the water’s surface, or the killer whales had something in their mouths, he would pick up the binoculars for a closer look.
He observed just as he had guessed: the size of the fish in this school wasn’t very big, roughly just over a meter in length, the largest barely 1.5 meters.
Even if the smaller Golden Spearfish were fat, they wouldn’t fetch a high price. Chu Mingcheng’s target was not these fish.
After eating lunch and tidying up, he lay on the flybridge’s lounge chair to continue waiting for the killer whales’ feast.
It was around 2 p.m. when the satisfied killer whales finally returned to the vicinity of the Sea God.
The dozing Chu Mingcheng woke to the moaning of the whales and knew their meal had ended; it was now time for his own hunt.
Chu Mingcheng returned to the cockpit, scanned the dispersed Bluefin Tuna nearby on the map, and set off towards them.
Due to their proximity and the slow swimming speed of the tuna while foraging, he quickly reached the spot right above one.
There was only one. Chu Mingcheng did not ask for help from the killer whales and decided to dive in with his fish spear. At a depth of over 130 meters, he found a large Bluefin Tuna nibbling on a spider crab.
This fish was over two and a half meters long, meeting his hunting criteria.
He swam closer and with fish spear in hand, aimed at its forehead and released an arrow.
The tuna hadn’t been very cautious of this unknown creature of his size; little did it know, he would attack unethically from a seven or eight-meter distance with a sudden ambush.
The tuna, shot in the brain, felt its already small brain function even less, tilted on its side struggling weakly before the stranger approached again and stabbed its forehead several more times.
When Chu Mingcheng dragged the tuna back to the Sea God, only ten minutes had passed.
After processing the fish and putting it in the freezer, his hunt for the day officially began.
He continued fishing from the afternoon until late at night, not even chatting with Jiang Luoluo. Chu Mingcheng devoted almost all his time to fishing until the freezer was filled to the brim.
He had lost count of exactly how many Bluefin Tuna he caught.
However, he was only about eight hours away from entering the Gonku Strait of the East Sea; clearly, he had been hunting all along the way.
The Gonku Strait lies below Okinawa and above the Yunaguo Strait.
There is an agreement here that allows for entry without application, and it is also a place where the military of Country Chou frequently passes through.
Previously, Chu Mingcheng, being in the south, found it more convenient to enter and exit through the Bashe Channel, but coming back from the north meant a detour to Bashe.
Compared to the proximity of Maid Country and a higher likelihood of encountering pirates upon exiting Bashe Channel, the Gonku Strait is relatively a lot safer.
It was now deep into the night. Chu Mingcheng found a cruise ship near the entrance to the strait, paid a few thousand Green Coins to fill up on fuel, and then switched off the engine to rest near the cruise ship.
