Chapter 532: Chapter 335: Sunken Ship Exploration (End)

When I woke up, it was already two in the afternoon.

Considering I planned to go fishing that evening and would continue working on the shipwreck at night, I made myself a hearty lunch in the afternoon that also doubled as my dinner.

Feeling full and satisfied, I made my way to the deck.

It was a cloudy day, and the Sea God was comfortably cool in the shade provided by the clouds blocking out the sunlight.

Compared to the heat in Xia City, it was definitely more comfortable to live in a city further north during this season.

It was then that I found Little Heiye frolicking in the water with the killer whales...

"How dare it?" Chu Mingcheng was astonished.

So what on earth happened while I was asleep?

As for Little Wujin, I was about to look for him when I saw a killer whale slowly swimming towards me, with a small black and yellow dog lying on its forehead.

Clicking my tongue, these two dogs had suddenly reached the peak of their dog lives!

Riding on a killer whale, I’ve had this treatment only once... Pfft~

Chu Mingcheng shook his head, then lay down on the bridge wing to enjoy the refreshing sea breeze.

After a good half an hour, the dogs appeared to be tired of playing and climbed back onto the ship, shaking off the water from their fur as they attempted to enter the cabin.

Chu Mingcheng acted quickly to stop them; however, upon hearing his voice, the dogs grew even more excited, wagging their tails as they tried to climb the stairs inside the cabin, frightening him to the point that he jumped directly from the bridge to the deck.

Despite the three-story fall, his legs handled the impact with ease, and he rolled on the deck to dissipate the momentum.

He then got up, grabbed the two dogs, and hosed them down, causing them to bark loudly.

They still jumped about, thinking that their owner was playing with them.

After some hassle, Chu Mingcheng finally managed to clean the dogs and dry their fur.

Then he took them back to the cabin to prepare their dinner.

They must have played for a long time in the afternoon and spent a lot of energy, so I specifically took out some beef for them.

Having fed them, I didn’t need to worry about their dinner while fishing later on.

After spending some time feeding the dogs their dinner, Chu Mingcheng took out the electric fishing rod and installed it on the railing of the ship, ready to go fishing near the shipwreck.

Just as I stepped out, the killer whales gathered around upon seeing me, each making whining sounds.

"Do you want to play with the dogs again?"

The leading killer whale shook its head!

"Are you hungry for some Golden Spearfish?"

The leading killer whale nodded!

Seeing this, Chu Mingcheng checked the map only to find that the closest hunting hot spot was within the waters of Japan, and any suitable place for them was quite far.

Furthermore, the migration route of the Golden Spearfish was also far from here; taking the killer whales to feed on the Golden Spearfish meant delaying another day and spending a lot of fuel.

Therefore, I had no choice but to shake my head and refuse, "How about you all make do with something else for these two days? Once we return, I promise to take you to eat Golden Spearfish!"

The leading killer whale was quite reasonable. Seeing Chu Mingcheng’s sincere expression, it nodded its head and took its companions to hunt to fill their bellies.

This was not a place familiar to them, and finding enough food was actually quite difficult, which is why they had approached Chu Mingcheng to lead them hunting today.

After watching them leave, Chu Mingcheng continued installing his fishing rod and took out the bait to thaw before starting the Sea God and heading to the shipwreck site.

Having arrived above the shipwreck, Chu Mingcheng shut off the engines and returned to the deck, waiting for the bait to thaw before he chopped it into pieces with a knife.

The Antarctic shrimp bait had been used up, and there were only two boxes of mackerel bait left, but that should be enough.

The problem was that the shipwreck site was too deep, and the fish were down below.

If it were shallower, only about a hundred meters deep, I wouldn’t need to go through such trouble; I could simply extend the line, leave it overnight, and then retrieve it the next day.

Once all the bait was prepared, Chu Mingcheng specifically cut three 370-meter-long fishing lines and tied the 10-kilogram lead sinkers and bait cages to the lines.

Filling the bait cages with fish and sealing them well, I tied one end of each fishing line to the ship’s rail, allowing the other end to descend with the weight of the sinkers to the shipwreck’s deck.

After deploying three cages, Chu Mingcheng began fishing.

The three bait cages were intended to create a feeding area, in hopes of attracting the fish inside the ship’s hull.

Only when the fish gathered could my fishing efficiency improve.

Otherwise, even with an abundance of Big Head Cod near the shipwreck and the boost of external assistance, achieving a continuous catch would be challenging.

The method proved effective; after a short while, the sound of the electric reels reeling in the line could be heard on the deck—it was time to take inventory!

After catching several fish, Chu Mingcheng noticed that bringing in the line from a depth of more than three hundred meters with the electric rod wasn’t as fast as expected, so he added another fishing rod.

This rod also had a small electric reel, usually used by Jiang Luoluo to catch big fish.

Now used for catching deep-sea fish, it filled the downtime between the two electric rods nicely.

This catch made Chu Mingcheng think he should buy two more large electric reels once he was back.

If he encountered a school of fish, having four electric reels would be truly exhilarating. Any more would be unnecessary, as I wouldn’t be able to keep up with them.

Today, as usual, I continued fishing until I finished my call with Jiang Luoluo, which brought the time to eleven o’clock and some minutes at night.

But Chu Mingcheng didn’t stop fishing because by then, seven of the foam boxes were filled, leaving only three and a half empty.

Determined, I fished for another three hours, filling all the foam boxes with fish before I called it a day.

One box was half full, containing eight boxes of Big Head Cod, with the rest being other more expensive deep-sea fish for Japanese restaurants, like the Golden Bream, for example.
