Are You Crazy? You’re Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show? -
Chapter 260: Program Inspectors Successfully Land on the Island
Three days passed quickly. In that time, Wang Yun learned about various edible wild mushrooms and other survival tips for venturing into the mountains and the sea.
The viewers in Wang Yun’s livestream were essentially treated to a comprehensive nature class. For many, it was the first time they realized how much they could learn from following a bandit.
Over these three days, the show’s direction took an unexpected turn. Some parents even started tuning in to Wang Yun’s livestream at specific times, encouraging their kids to watch, listen, and learn. This impromptu educational segment gained significant attention, even receiving promotion from various TV stations.
This was something the producer had never anticipated.
By the afternoon of the third day, the program inspectors had reached the port.
The port was now bustling with activity. Originally, there were only seven or eight charter boats, but now there were nearly twenty yachts. The shore was crowded with several rows of people. This time, over 300 elite inspectors had been deployed, with more than a thousand regular inspectors. The sheer number of people could practically fill the entire island.
Additionally, two more national captains had joined over the past three days, increasing the frequency of new arrivals.
Wang Yun’s reputation continued to grow. From their perspective, Wang Yun had trapped himself on an island surrounded by water. With superior numbers, they felt confident they could capture him easily.
“Board the boats,” Zhao Youcheng commanded.
Everyone sprang into action. With Zhao Youcheng’s arrival, Wu Mingyu naturally ceded the leadership position to him. After all, Zhao Youcheng was a professional, having led tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of elite national personnel. His experience and authority far surpassed Wu Mingyu’s.Zhao Youcheng stood at the front of the lead speedboat, his eyes sharp and expressionless. Wearing a simple polo shirt, he exuded authority effortlessly.
All the program Captains gathered on one speedboat. Within an hour, they all landed on the island.

Meanwhile, Wang Yun stood on a hill overlooking the shore, calmly watching the scene unfold through binoculars.
“They’re here. Let’s go,” Wang Yun said, putting away his binoculars and addressing the three people beside him.
Each of the four had a large backpack slung over their shoulders.
Their bags were packed with all sorts of supplies. During this time, Wang Yun had considered buying materials to make human masks, but he noticed that the program inspectors had already secured those shops. Even though the inspectors hadn’t landed yet, they had people cooperating with them onshore. Wang Yun quickly abandoned the idea. For now, these items weren’t essential. Disappearing into the rainforest would be easy enough.
The motorbikes they had purchased were temporarily stored at the father and son’s place.
Over the past three days, the four of them had barely slept, exploring more than half of the island. Wang Yun discovered a series of small, interconnected paths between the three islands. These paths were either muddy or mountainous, making them hard to traverse and known to very few. This knowledge alone would be enough to trouble the program inspectors.
At the moment, Brother Hu and the others seemed relaxed, almost like they were heading out on a mountain hike. Wang Zi carried a small frying pan and various spices in his bag. To an outsider, it would indeed look like they were out for a camping trip.
“Boss, how long are we planning to stay here?” Brother Hu asked as he walked alongside Wang Yun.
Wang Yun shook his head, glancing at the jungle ahead.
“Not sure. We’ll see when the time comes.”
As he spoke, his eyes scanned their surroundings. Just as the father and son had mentioned, there were plenty of toxic plants and even carnivorous flowers in the mountains. Although these weren’t as terrifying as the legends suggested, they did have visible poisonous thorns that could cause pain for days if pricked. Poisonous mushrooms grew between the rocks and tree roots.
“Good thing we did our homework before coming here. Otherwise, we’d have nothing to eat. One wrong mushroom and we’d be done for,” Wang Yun joked.
Brother Hu and the others shrugged. “No worries, we’re tough.”
They all shared a hearty laugh. Indeed, they were tough. After more than a month, they were still wandering freely.
The atmosphere in the livestream was very harmonious these past few days, filled with lightheartedness.
“It feels like Big Brother has been running a travel documentary these last three days. It’s so relaxing!”
“Yeah, I kind of miss the tension. But surviving in the wild sounds exciting!”
“Absolutely. I haven’t been able to put my phone down. I even sleep with headphones on. I’m afraid I’ll miss some thrilling moments!”
The viewers in the livestream couldn’t help but express their thoughts.
Everyone was waiting for Wang Yun to make his move.
Nosa Island had many areas of rainforest and mountains.
The one Wang Yun visited today was not frequented by locals because it was undeveloped. The roads were steep, and the mountains were full of poisonous creatures. Wang Yun predicted that even if the program inspectors wanted to catch them, they would have to search one area at a time. Naturally, they wouldn’t go to the most populated islands, as it would be too easy to get reported.
Wang Yun knew the program inspectors had initiated a full-scale search mode. The reward was very tempting, designed to drive him to sparsely populated, easily monitored areas.
After walking for three hours, the four of them reached halfway up the mountain. They found a relatively flat spot and set up tents, also taking out solar-powered lamps.
“Go gather some firewood. Apply the medicinal powder and ointment to protect yourselves, and be careful,” Wang Yun instructed the three of them. “I’ll go find some food.”
They had brought some instant meals, but those were for emergencies, given their limited space.
“I’ll go with you, Boss,” Brother Hu volunteered, thinking it would be easier to lend a hand and safer for Wang Yun.
Wang Yun didn’t refuse. It was a good opportunity to train them. The system had rewarded him with a universal membership, which he could use, but due to the public bounty and the lack of materials for making human-skin masks, he had to resort to this way of life.
The two of them walked through the rainforest, and they got lucky, finding a rubber tree. The bark could be peeled off and the inner wood was edible. The liquid inside could be used to soothe coughs, and when dried, it could be used for firewood. Wang Yun chopped down four pieces and tied them to Brother Hu’s shoulders.
