Chapter 359: Dumplings dipped in tomato sauce

Lin Murong prepared a lot of sauces, and as Su Yinhe looked at the variety, she felt like her CPU was overheating.

Some of these sauces, no matter how you looked at them, didn’t seem fit for dipping dumplings.

But Lin Murong was indeed planning to use them for the dumplings.

Su Yinhe felt that she had prepared herself adequately for these sauces.

However, when she saw Lin Murong dipping dumplings into tomato sauce, her brain still couldn’t quite make sense of it.

Su Yinhe thought Lin Murong might have some serious illness.

Dumplings with tomato sauce, who could come up with such a pairing?

Lin Murong...

Maybe, possibly... wasn’t really a human after all.

Watching Lin Murong dip dumplings into the tomato sauce and pop them into his mouth with a look of pure enjoyment, the thought crossed her mind uncontrollably.

"Does it taste good?" Su Yinhe couldn’t help it and finally blurted out.

"It’s delicious, so delicious. It’s absolutely amazing," Lin Murong’s eyes shone as he passed the tomato sauce and dumplings over.

"Galaxy, you must try it."

Su Yinhe looked at the dumplings and tomato sauce offered to her, swallowing hard.

"No thanks, you eat it. I wouldn’t want to compete with you." She felt she couldn’t try it, she was a normal person with very normal tastes.

The dumplings with tomato sauce were all his to enjoy.

"There’s nothing to compete for. There’s plenty more," Lin Murong grabbed another plate of dumplings.

Determined to have Su Yinhe try it.

"No, no, no, I don’t really like it. You go ahead. I’m stuffed," Su Yinhe rubbed her belly as a polite refusal.

In reality, she was only eighty percent full and could have eaten more.

But she really didn’t want to try it.

"Alright then," Lin Murong appeared dejected but brightened immediately when he turned to see Chi Yan next to him.

"Brother Chi, do you want to..."

"Scram."

"Oh."

With just one word, Chi Yan declined Lin Murong’s offer with an effortless coolness.

A coolness that made Su Yinhe envious.

She reflected, perhaps she was too polite when rejecting others; she should learn from Chi Yan.

See how decisive and clear that rejection was.

It could save unnecessary entanglement.

She liked it a lot.

Lin Murong continued to eat his dumplings, consuming a whole plate by dipping them into tomato sauce, then his gaze shifted to the mayonnaise.

Dumplings with mayonnaise, dumplings with salad dressing, dumplings with satay sauce, dumplings with sesame paste, dumplings with sugar, dumplings with...

Su Yinhe watched bewildered, as Lin Murong was awesome, he devoured everything with relish, no matter what sauce he dipped into.

She was curious, what would it take for Lin Murong to be put off.

Lin Murong’s appetite was indeed formidable.

Formidable to a frightening degree.

"Stop looking," Chi Yan covered her eyes, Galaxy had been watching Lin Murong, and he was getting unhappy.

He knew he was being overly domineering, but he couldn’t help himself.

He had restrained himself as much as he could, and yet, he couldn’t.

"Okay, okay, I’ll stop watching," Su Yinhe placed her hand on his, pulling his hand away.

"Look at you, is it okay if I only look at you?" Su Yinhe gazed at him, her words sugary enough to drown someone.

Chi Yan’s face turned red all of a sudden.

"Hey, why so shy?" Su Yinhe teased as she moved in closer to examine.

"No. I’m just feeling a bit hot," Chi Yan denied, still not admitting it.

"Oh really? What kind of hot?" Su Yinhe kept on prodding.

"Is your face hot? Body hot? Or... is it your heart?"

"Or... all of it?"

"I..." Chi Yan, red-faced and stuttering, struggled to speak.

Su Yinhe stared at him for a good while, and just when Chi Yan was about to flee, she let him go.

Lin Murong: "..."

Lin Murong gobbled up the last dumpling fiercely and stormed off to wash the dishes, irritated.

Damn it, he shouldn’t have looked up; he should have just focused on enjoying his dumplings. Were the dumplings not delicious enough?

Why do you have to look up?

Lin Murong was very sad.

He got emo again.

The dumplings were delicious, if only there had been no dog food after them.

After finishing the dumplings, Su Yinhe had nothing to do again.

Went back to lie down.

Tired.

It’s all Lin Murong’s fault.

Lin Murong: "Meow meow meow???"

Although she didn’t know why it was Lin Murong’s fault, when in doubt, blame Lin Murong.

Lin Murong was just a perfect scapegoat.

Nice.

After lying down on the bed, it just so happened that the show she was following got updated, and Su Yinhe binge-watched the new content.

It was the finale, and after watching it, Su Yinhe felt a sense of loss.

Sigh.

Was this the legendary withdrawal response?

After watching the show, Su Yinhe couldn’t sleep anymore, so she went to find Chi Yan to chat, hugging her pillow.

Yeah, the kind that’s just under the covers and just talking.

Su Yinhe snatched his blanket and wrapped herself comfortably in it, while Chi Yan, blushing, sat on the bed, not daring to look at her.

Why was it that the longer they were together, the more innocent Chi Yan became?

Su Yinhe pondered, stroking her chin.

Shouldn’t it be the other way around, that the longer you’re together, the less innocent you get?

"Come sit closer, will you? Am I going to eat you? You’re so far away from me."

"No. I..."

"Come on," Su Yinhe patted the blanket.

It was Chi Yan’s bed, but the person sleeping on it was Su Yinhe.

Su Yinhe sniffed; there was a scent on Chi Yan’s bed, faint but nice.

"What laundry detergent do you use?"

"What?"

"Laundry detergent. It smells nice," Su Yinhe sniffed again.

Watching her do this, Chi Yan’s face turned even redder.

"Oh my, you’re blushing again. You like me that much, don’t you? Just talking to me makes you blush. How is this going to work, are you going to blush every day?"

Su Yinhe reached out and poked his hand.

"I won’t," Chi Yan grabbed her hand.

"Really? But I think you blush so easily. You definitely didn’t use to be like this," It wasn’t this obvious before.

"Before... was before, now is now."

"Okay then," Su Yinhe shrugged, "but still, you’ll have to get used to it."

"Mm. I’ll try."

Su Yinhe looked at him, and as she did, she just laughed.

Who knows, when he blushed and said he’d try, just how much it touched her.

Anyway, she was in love.

So very in love.

Damn it.

She felt like he was seducing her.

So fond of him.

Too fond of him.

Couldn’t help herself.

From then on, Su Yinhe developed a habit, if she couldn’t sleep, she’d look for Chi Yan; if she was bored, she’d look for Chi Yan; whatever the reason or no reason at all, she’d look for Chi Yan.

He was too cute, she was so fond of him.

"I’m cute?" Chi Yan truly couldn’t understand how such a word could apply to him.

"Mm. Cute." Su Yinhe suddenly reached out and pinched his face.

After pinching, she ran off, leaving Chi Yan alone touching his face and smiling foolishly.

Such an expression would never have appeared on his face before, but ever since he’d been with Su Yinhe, such expressions appeared on his face from time to time.
