There was no lie, nor was there any illusion.

That was why Atlas wanted to make himself as powerful as possible. At least powerful enough that he would not limit his own power afterwards.

’Dead Plains,’ Atlas said calmly. As soon as he said that, all the flowers and trees that were still alive began to wither, as if they were dying.

After doing this, Atlas wanted to try something else. He wanted to use his ability called ’Sight,’ which he hadn’t used in a very long time.

The only reason he hadn’t used this ability was because it was powerful against people who used aura energy. However, this ability had another feature:

The ability placed the targeted person under a visual surveillance. So, whether that person created an illusion or fled to the other side of the world, as long as the user did not stop using the ability, the location of the targeted person could be known.

This ability, when applied to a single person, might be effective against Xezbeth.

After all, Xezbeth had already become aware of Atlas naturally.

Even as the demon’s arm fell to the ground, the demon did not scream or say anything. There was only shock and fear on his face. To put it bluntly, it was clear that Xezbeth was going to die here, and he knew it himself.

When he thought about it, it became clear that starting everything, or rather, everything he wanted to do, was a better option.

The high-ranking demon smiled, and even though he was afraid and knew he was going to die, he spread every bit of the dirty mana in his body around him.

The entire capital city was contaminated with dirty mana in a matter of seconds.

Atlas realised at that moment that he should not have attacked Xezbeth’s arm. He should have targeted his head from the beginning, but he had not done so.

The moment the dirty mana settled, the change had already begun.

All the demons and humans in the area had started fighting each other. These were not normal ’duels’ or anything like that.

Humans were attacking each other, and demons were doing the same as humans.

Xezbeth’s dirty mana had succeeded in corrupting everyone’s minds in just a few seconds.

At the same time, Atlas made another move, this time targeting Xezbeth’s head directly.

The Holy Sword Delusion severed Xezbeth’s head from his body in an instant, and the demon’s body began to burn. Nevertheless, the damage the demon inflicted on the surroundings was unimaginable.

Atlas began jumping from one demon to another, and within a few minutes, he had managed to take down dozens of demons within a hundred metres.

Juliet had not yet returned. Everyone knew that Juliet was capable of killing the other two high-ranking demons in a matter of seconds. This was enough to show that Juliet, like Atlas, was trying to protect others.

Atlas acted quickly and began making moves to knock out every demon fighting each other around him.

The mana was dirty. Very dirty.

Still, it wasn’t mana that couldn’t be cleansed.

It required stronger, deeper, and incredibly pure mana.

Of course, there were two people who could do that right now.

Atlas and Juliet.

It was as if they had both thought the same thing at the same time, because within seconds, Juliet’s massive mana had spread out and overwhelmed even Atlas himself, while Atlas’s mana had managed to spread completely over an area of nearly twenty kilometres.

Although the mana was very slow, when it began to clear, Atlas finally realised that the passageway he had created was still open and that the demons were coming out of it.

He did not know exactly how to close the passageway. After all, he had never done such a thing before. The person who did it was Constantine, but Atlas did not have the power of a Sage.

He had an idea, but of course, he had no way of knowing if it would work.

That was precisely why he had once again moved forward and started killing every demon that had managed to escape through the passage.

With every demon he killed, he grew stronger, but at the same time, everything was getting worse because even though the dirty mana was being purified, more demons were escaping through the passage every second.

That wasn’t all. Atlas himself could sense that there was another passageway somewhere else, and the only reason for this was that he could feel another passageway at the other end of the capital, in addition to the one in front of him.

He had to act quickly. He had to do whatever he had to do and close the portal as soon as possible, then run towards the other one.

He had to leave the mana cleansing task in the area to Juliet.
