Chapter 235: Chapter 110: Violent Kick-off _2

At this moment, Wei Shan also arrived at the exit of the Student Cafeteria, then dashed into the Student Passage without looking back, charging toward the exit.

After Lin Yi and the others had all entered the Student Passage, the chef in a blue apron standing between the Student Passage and the Student Cafeteria, with his hands placed over his lower abdomen and his face adorned with a signature faint smile, began to walk out from the shadows with an extremely rigid gait, like a marionette being pulled by strings, and came to a stop in front of the several Pupa Cultivators.

He lowered his head to look at the non-human classmates in the sunlight, seething with white powder particles and continually writhing, and slowly stretched his smile to the roots of his ears.

"Good stuff, good stuff..."

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and the white powder particles streamed vigorously into his nostrils...

His eyebrows relaxed slightly, and his face revealed a bizarre yet utterly content expression.

...

Inside the Student Cafeteria, the Art Student approached the tombstone-like standing non-human classmates, his glance through the plastic strip curtains at the empty Student Passage, then at the blue-apron chef inhaling the white powder particles, his indifferent face betraying no emotion.

He glanced at the tomato in his hand, frowning slightly, "Suddenly, I’m not hungry anymore."

This tomato had been handed to him by the chef in a green apron, and after he had bitten into it, the bright tomato sauce thickly flowed down, dripping onto the ground from his hand.

The non-human classmates looked at the dripping tomato sauce with intense longing, yet none dared to make a move.

"It doesn’t taste good, I won’t eat it anymore, it’s yours."

He carelessly threw away the half-eaten tomato. The nearby non-human classmates immediately swarmed over, scrambling for that little bit of tomato, while some went as far as to lie on the ground, licking the dripping sauce.

Suddenly, without warning, he grabbed one of the non-human classmates, placed his hand on its chest, and slowly pierced into its body.

The non-human classmate’s body trembled once, but its face showed no reaction, as if it felt no pain at all.

He dug and dug, and a waterfall of crimson liquid gushed out unrestrained, pooling into a thick puddle on the floor.

Finally, he pushed away the non-human classmate smeared with tomato sauce, his hand now holding a gently throbbing, fresh-juice covered... large tomato.

"Slurp..."

He tasted the juice on the tomato, took another bite, "schlick schlick" he chewed and revealed a look of enjoyment, "This is bringing my appetite back, isn’t it? Schlick schlick..."

Meanwhile, the non-human classmate from whom he had taken the tomato kept licking the tomato sauce on the ground obliviously, seemingly unaware of its own plight...

Suddenly, the incandescent lights in the Student Cafeteria flickered.

This disturbance instantly caught the attention of all the students who had been ignoring them and still eating; these people began to leave the Student Cafeteria.

And the incandescent lights inside the Student Cafeteria flickered once more...

With each flicker of the lights, the blood-red liquid oozing out from that non-human classmate began to turn into tomato sauce, each flash made the sauce thicker until it became a dark red and sticky tomato sauce.

The non-human classmate, unaware of the problem, even started licking the "locally produced" tomato sauce originating from itself and gradually became stiff, eventually collapsing onto the ground powerless, while the other non-human classmates continued licking the tomato sauce transformed from its innards...

...

After stepping out of the Student Passage, Lin Yi immediately looked down at his watch.

7:53.

"7:53, seven minutes left until the Cafeteria closes."

He turned to look back at the Student Passage, and suddenly a vast throng of people surged out with massive force. Through their brief utterances, he caught an important piece of information: the Cafeteria lights had gone out.

The cafeteria lights were always on 24 hours a day because some areas were not within the illumination range, and once the cafeteria lights were off, it might be alright during the day when there was natural light; but past 8 pm, it would definitely be a terrifying disaster.

The students who had escaped were naturally panicked, but there were very few injuries; only a minority had tomato sauce stains on them.

Some of those with tomato sauce stains had forgotten to take off their clothes and throw them in the trash, but after being reminded by their companions, they still followed the rule and began to look for the trash bins.

Lin Yi’s mind raced, and he quickly took off his jacket and began to check if there was any tomato sauce on it.

"You probably didn’t get any tomato sauce on you," Wei Shan’s voice rang out next to his ear. He quickly took off his jacket and, unsurprisingly, found traces of tomato sauce on it.

"Sure enough, there is, damn bad luck!"

Seeing Lin Yi look over, Wei Shan explained, "I must have gotten the tomato sauce on me when I rushed out from those non-human guys. You guys go back to the Teaching Building first, I’ll go throw away the clothes."

As he spoke, he found a trash bin at the entrance to the Staff Passage.

"We might as well go together," Lin Yi said. The cafeteria closed at 8:00, but they had already left; the remaining time was to return to the Teaching Building for self-study classes, followed by waiting for mealtime.

Essentially, this period was a free time dependent on the classroom.

"Together then," Tian Bufan also said, "Conveniently, I’m also interested in this Staff Passage that leads to the basement of the cafeteria."

"Are you sure?" Lin Yi looked at Tian Bufan in surprise.

Tian Bufan calmly gazed toward the Staff Passage below the winding roads, a glint of intrigue in his eyes: "Sooner or later, I’ll have to complete the puzzle of the cafeteria area. Taking an early look at the entrance won’t hurt. Let’s go."

"You guys go ahead, I’ll go back to the classroom first," Kuai Hongji suddenly said.

"Ah? You’re not coming with us?" Lin Yi asked, puzzled.

Kuai Hongji glanced at the trash bin and then said coldly, "It’s not appropriate."

"I’ll be off then; see you at lunch, in the evening, or at night," Kuai Hongji said without giving Lin Yi a chance to ask further. He turned around, waved his hand, and walked toward the notice board in front of the cafeteria. He casually threw the cafeteria rules onto a shelf, then, with hands in his pockets and head drooping, he blended into the flow of people heading back to the Teaching Building.

Watching Kuai Hongji’s retreating figure, Lin Yi frowned, but Tian Bufan called out, "If you want to go back, you can leave first."

"Forget it, I’m just going to see a glance of Kuai Kuai," Lin Yi shook his head and caught up with the pace of Tian Bufan and the others.

"I’ll wait for you guys in front of the notice board," Wei Liang said, not planning to join them, "Last time that sucker really gave me a fright; I don’t need that kind of thrill."

"Okay," Lin Yi replied and quickly walked down the hillpath.

Wei Liang glanced at Lin Yi, Tian Bufan, and Wei Shan’s backs on the hillpath, and then at Kuai Hongji who had already blended into the crowd and disappeared from sight. He frowned and then stretched his hand to rub his temple.

"Headache... such a headache!" He squatted down under the notice board and listlessly fiddled with the cafeteria rules in his hand.

Suddenly, as if sensing something, he turned around to look at the areas of the other passages.

Other people in the passages were also evacuating quickly, among them was a girl in a sailor uniform who looked somewhat familiar.

He only gave her a glance before withdrawing his gaze, while the sailor uniform girl suddenly looked around vigilantly. Eventually, noticing nothing amiss, she stepped onto a cobblestone path.

And one of the branches of that cobblestone path was seemingly the main cobblestone route lined with streetlights leading to the Teaching Building...

"Why do I always run into her? Is she that persistent?" His eyes swirled with various emotions, eventually settling back into that panic-stricken look, and then he shivered, hugging himself tightly, sighing, "Damn... looks like I need to rub off some of Old Lin’s prestige and cling to Xu Shunkang’s coattails..."

"Tsk! Ah~ Ow! Last time it took five days to start feeling weird, this time how come it’s gotten strange the day after? Damn...

"Too scary, too scary..."
