Lucia smiled and nodded her head. She didn’t say anything else since it was getting too awkward for her.

The silence filled the room, and it was suffocating Lucia, especially when Daniel was staring at her intently.

"Master, something happened," Base’s voice echoed outside the door.

Daniel raised a brow before shifting his attention toward his butler. "Okay," he replied shortly, but continued staring at Lucia.

"It might be important," Lucia stated softly. She subtly gestured for Daniel to depart.

Daniel remained silent for a couple of seconds before speaking. "Let’s finish what we started earlier... maybe next time when I’m done with work," he stated with roughness in his voice.

Then, Daniel turned around and left the room.

Lucia waited until the sound of the door fully shutting behind Daniel before she finally let out the breath she had been holding.

Her body trembled slightly— not from desire, but from the overwhelming mixture of guilt, fear, and confusion that churned within her chest.
