Chapter 149: The Prettiest of Flowers

Chapter 149: The Prettiest of Flowers

Rosina was able to sleep for a couple of hours, but she woke up in the middle of the night since her brain has been functioning even though she was deep in sleep.

"Ugh, this is bad," Rosina whispered and rubbed her eyes. She has been thinking about what Fina mouthed to her and she wanted to know the meaning behind her words.

"Stay away from Sal..." Rosina muttered the words that Fina said. She wanted to know why she needed to stay away from Sal since she was nice to her.

In the first place, Rosina had always doubted Fina since she looked suspicious and her actions were shady.

"Why would I stay away from Sal? Is there something about her that I should be wary of? Or Fina doesn’t want me to take away her friend?" Rosina groaned from the multiple questions she thought and she couldn’t ask directly since there must be something huge going on inside the residence that Draco was unaware of.

"I should find it out myself," Rosina whispered and started dressing before going out of her room. She planned to roam around the place and look for something distinctive.

Rosina made sure that her footsteps were light and that her presence was invisible to the servants and guards that were still awake at that time. When she passed by Fina and Sal’s room, she noticed that they were not inside. That was Rosina’s other hint.

’Where are they?’ Rosina thought before sniffing their faint scent and noticed that they left a few minutes ago. She followed and the scent led her to the storage room at the back of the residence.

’Are they stealing?’ Rosina raised an eyebrow. It wasn’t new that servants tried to steal several items in the storage room and it was rare for an owner to catch them.

Rosina’s legs started walking toward the storage room due to her curiosity, but instead of stealing, she heard murmurs coming from inside. She positioned herself at the back where a small window was built. She pressed her ears against the wall and heightened her hearing sense.

"Do you think that new b^tch will be useful?" Sal stated and her tone changed from cheerful to spiteful.

"Don’t do it, Sal. She’s innocent," Fina whispered lowly.

"That’s the point! She’s new and didn’t know how the world revolves inside the Palace. She will serve as a good scapegoat for our plans," Sal chuckled evilly.

"I still don’t—"

The sound of a slap echoed in the silent night, followed by silence.

"You should shut your mouth, Fina, or I’ll kill you and your family," Sal stated with a deadpan voice.

"O-okay," Fina’s sobbed from the pain in her cheeks.

"We should follow up our plan. The Queen doesn’t have long patience to wait. We should take advantage when that low-life Princess isn’t here or she’ll take our time again. She’s an adult but needed assistance. Nobles really have an easier life but have a short life span. How ironic! Haha!" Sal laughed wholeheartedly, indicating about Rosina.

Rosina’s mouth hung open at what she heard. She couldn’t believe that Fina and Sal belonged to the Queen’s minions and they were plotting against Draco. She wanted to know more but heard the storage room door open and footsteps shuffling.

’They really have the nerve to use me,’ Rosina thought before peeking through the wall and watching Fina and Sal walking away together.

’Let’s play a little, especially you, Sal,’ Rosina smirked and went back to her room after a few minutes.

In the morning around 6:00, Sal knocked on Rosina’s door to wake her up, but Rosina was already standing behind the door, waiting for her.

Rosina massaged her face for a few seconds to create an expression of a naive she-wolf. She opened the door with a bright smile.

"Good morning, Miss Sal! Miss Fina!" Rosina exclaimed, which made Sal satisfied with her enthusiasm.

"Good morning to you too, Rosalina. We will start today since we only have three days before you serve Prince Draco," Sal stated cheerfully. Behind her was Fina, who had a flat expression.

"What should I do today?" Rosina stated with excitement. They were currently walking in the hallway toward the kitchen.

"Well, you need to know what Prince Draco liked to eat," Sal stated and handed Rosina a paper and pen to write down what she was saying.

"Okay," Rosina started writing and acted with deep interest to learn.

"Prince Draco liked black coffee with one cube of sugar, especially this kind of sugar," Sal took a bottle from her pocket that contained a few cubes of sugar and gave it to Rosina.

"Okay," Rosina took and put the item in her pocket. She glanced at Fina and saw that she had a hardened expression.

’Seems like these cubes have something in them,’ Rosina thought and planned to investigate them later.

Sal proceeded to tell Rosina about other stuff about Draco that she already knew.

Rosina forced down the urge to yawn since it was getting boring for her. She already knew everything. It has been two hours since the non-stop lecture.

"Do you have any questions?" Sal asked with a cheerful smile.

"Ah, yes," Rosina said and acted hesitant, but she grabbed the opportunity to ask them about herself.

"What is it?" Sal tilted her head, waiting for Rosina.

"About the Third Prince mate... Where is she? Is it true that she was gone?" Rosina asked slowly and saw how Fina and Sal’s expressions changed slightly.

"Ah, Princess Rosina," Sal laughed awkwardly. She looked at Fina and signaled using her head to come and take the topic.

"Princess Rosina is a strong she-wolf. She may act weak and fragile sometimes, but if you spend more time with her. You can distinguish the difference," Fina stated, but her face didn’t show admiration.

"Hah! She must be loved by many. After all, strong she-wolves are adored more," Rosina exclaimed and found it weird that she was talking about herself.

"Yes, but didn’t you know? The prettiest of flowers gets picked first," Fina stated with a blank expression.
