Chapter 79: Chapter 79- Confrontation

DAMON~

Brown hair, deep blue eyes, and a navy blue tailored suit that fitted his body perfectly, I had seen this man once before but I didn’t really focus on him but now that I did, I felt slightly intimidated, If there was one thing I thought I had going for me, it would have been my looks but this man looked like the textbook definition of the ’Golden Boy’. I tore my eyes away from him and turned to her, Her brown eyes were fixed on me, and her smile vanished and was replaced by a straight face that managed to convey an impressive amount of contempt.

"Wait here please." She said, He nodded with his eyes fixed on me as she walked past the lawn and came to me.

"What are you doing here." She asked, her obvious anger barely restrained.

"I just wanna talk Zarah," I said, my tone quiet so he couldn’t overhear us.

"Don’t call me that." She replied

"Ok, Dina can we just talk, Calmly."

"Calmly, this is as calm as I’m ever going to be." She growled, and my jaw tightened but I knew it wouldn’t be easy so I persisted.

"Look—"

"What? you’ve finally grown balls instead of sending your friends to make your apologies." She spat, I stepped back confused as to what she was talking about when I remembered that Jermaine had tried to talk to her about me and almost had his head bitten off.

"I didn’t ask him to do that." I explained, "Can we go inside?" I asked softly, trying to reason with her.

"I’m going into my house but you’re going back to that shithole you call a pack." She blatantly insulted me, She tried again to walk past me but I held onto her wrist. Stopping her in her tracks, From the corner of my eyes I could see Micheal immediately standing alert, certainly, he was about to act but she turned to him and gestured for him to calm himself down, he nodded in understanding but his body didn’t relax back unto the car. His eyes focused on me, his blue gaze waiting for me to just make one move out of line.

Normally I wouldn’t feel even the slightest bit threatened by a regular human, I didn’t even get intimidated a lot but the aura I felt from him, the aura this man gave off warned me against doing anything rash. I tore my eyes away from his glare and turned to her.

"Let go of me, Damon." She demanded with a stern look on her face. I let go of her but instead used my body to block the way up the stairs.

"Just give me a minute." I pleaded softly, she looked at me with a disinterested look in her eyes, almost appalled by the words that left my mouth.

"I can’t waste a minute on you.’ she angrily replied, word’s stung but I didn’t relent.

"Please." I urged as I gently took hold of her hand again, she looked at my hand and then back at me, she was about to speak when Micheal interjected.

"That’s enough pal," Micheal said, finally leaving the car and walking towards us, Zarah turned to him, I let go of her and she walked to him.

"I can handle him." She assured him, her voice soft and tender as she spoke with her palms pressed against his chest. There was a brief pang of jealousy but I ignored it.

"I just wanna talk to her." I politely explained but he was having none of that, my words seemed to have zero impact on him as he stepped forward and came closer to me.

"She doesn’t want to talk to you though, So how about you pack up and leave," Micheal said, his voice was gentle but I sensed the threat behind it.

I felt almost insulted, I, an Alpha of one of the largest packs in the world was being talked down to by some man, not a man from I.O.W.A, just a man, bare-fisted and with a weapon to add to the insult. His threat sounded like a bad joke but I didn’t let it get to me.

"Mind your business," I said angrily.

"Both of you stop, not in front of my house," Zarah growled as she stepped between us, I looked at him then back at her.

"I just wanna talk." I said calmly "Just give me a chance Zar—Dina." I quickly corrected them, she turned to Micheal to see if he had noticed the blunder but judging by the way he still looked he probably didn’t hear it.

"I don’t wanna talk to you, Damon. Please leave." She replied softly, there was something about her tone, almost as if she wasn’t angry, was that because of Micheal or because her heart was softening towards me, I was doubtful that it was the latter but I allowed myself the right to be delusional.

"I know, I know you don’t wanna talk to me but I need to talk to you," I replied

"She said she doesn’t want to," Micheal interjected again, his protective Alpha male bullshit was starting to piss me off. He took a hostile step forward, and my teeth ground with frustration, I wanted to beat him up so badly but I had to restrain myself, they seemed close enough that making a move on him would only worsen my already bad case.

"Look—"

"I think you should go." He interrupted

"I think you should mind your business." I blurted out, unable to keep the restraints for more than a minute as my hands tightened into a fist.

"This is my business, so pack up and leave before you make me do something I’d regret" He replied, taking another step closer.

The fuck?, did he just spit out a bold face threat, That was it, that was the end of me restraining myself, and I turned to her.

"Zarah, I’m gonna hurt this guy," I warned but only after I saw her eyes widen did I realize I had just fucked up.

"Zarah?" Micheal repeated.
