Chapter 46: Chapter 46-Wolves Reign

SIMON~

I looked through the papers that Leo had just handed me and a smile curved my lips.

"With that, you are now the official Alpha of Night-stone." Leo congratulated me with a smile, I put down the files and looked at him.

"We haven’t won yet, they don’t see me as their Alpha yet, I need to make them understand why I’m fit to be their leader," I explained as I stood up from my seat and walked to the open window of my office.

"Their opinions don’t matter," Leo said.

"They do if I want them to follow me." I disagreed as I turned from the window to face him "Night-stone has stubborn wolves, they won’t accept an Alpha without seeing the strength the Alpha has."

"So you going to have to prove yourself."

"Most likely," I confirmed, and as the words left my mouth the door opened and Lucas walked in.

"Hello, Lucas." I greeted them with a friendly smile that clearly irritated him but he tried his best to hide it.

"Simon, Leo." He greeted back with gentle hows before he sat down "The men are ready to move unto the next phase." he said, my smile widened.

"Good, but, tell them to hold on, we’re gonna have a cool-down period for about a month."

"What!" Lucas exclaimed.

"Yes." I said then walked towards where he sat and leaned against the desk so that he was just a few inches away from me "In the span of a week, we’ve merged silver hollow with two other packs—"

"Exactly why we need to keep the momentum and move before they get accustomed to our tactics," Lucas explained, I smiled.

"Listen here my ugly stupid friend" I insulted, I could almost feel the sparks shooting out of his head as I pushed myself off the desk and walked back to the window "Wolves are proud creatures, they won’t stand and watch as their home is turned to a dumping ground. We have to make sure the wolves understand that their home was not conquered but improved, I need to become the Alpha of the two new packs in more than name and that takes time, if we just keep accumulating more and more packs eventually it’s all gonna crumble down and we’ll have less than we started with, Understood?."

Lucas groaned but from the look in his eyes I knew he understood, I turned back to Leo.

"How’s Evan doing?"

"She’s prideful but she’s doing what she needs to do without question?" Leo answered.

"Good. Lucas, how’s GreyFure? I did kill their Alpha after all." I asked.

"Since it was in an open duel and you won without any tricks they do see you as their true Alpha but they have a problem with their home being taken over by foreigners," Lucas answered. I knew this would happen, they feel like their identity is being replaced with someone else’s, like their homes are being taken away from them.

"We might need more time, I don’t think we can fix these problems in a month," Leo added.

"Agreed," Lucas said.

"One month will be enough," I said, their faces twisted with confusion.

"It—"

"We’re gonna create another pack." I said the confusion remained present on the faces so I explained further "The problem is that they feel as if their home is being sucked into someone else’s but what if it’s just becoming a part of something new, something larger, something greater than what it used to be."

"So instead of being sucked into the silver hollow, they are tools to create a new pack." Leo said with a smile "But one Alpha and one Beta won’t be enough to control those many wolves."

"I know, that’s why each pack that joins the new pack will be overseen by a Beta, for example, the beta of what used to be Night-stone will be Evan Bently and for GreyFure their Beta would remain the same."

"So I’ll oversee Silver Hollow and report directly to you."

"As always," I confirmed.

"And what would this new pack be called?" Lucas immediately asked.

"Wolves Reign" I answered with a grin.

——

After the announcement had been made that Silver Hollow, GreyFure, and Night-stone would be combined to create Wolves Reign, at first there was an eruption of riots and fights, with issues as big as rioters setting flame to buildings to drunkards fighting in the streets but after a week it had calmed down and the people had begun accepting the news, then after the settle there was a new problem. A struggle for who would take the position of Alpha in this new pack. I let them scuffle and fight cause it was all to be expected, of course, the ones who thought they deserved it would struggle for power but in the end, that wouldn’t matter.

"Wolves are tedious creatures," I said as I looked at the files of the ones who had challenged me so far.

"From my experience, they don’t stop coming," Evan said with a chuckle, her brother stood behind her with his eyes fixed on me but I could honestly care less.

"Your problem was that you were strong but you didn’t embody strength," I said calmly.

"What does that mean?"

"It means you let people doubt your strength." Deric the Beta of GreyFure answered coldly "I follow Simon because there’s not an atom in me that doesn’t see him as the strongest."

"That’s why it was easy for you to cast away your loyalty." Edward spat, a smirk crossed Deric’s lips to hide his annoyance.

"Would you serve her so loyally if she wasn’t your sister?" He asked and Edward struggled to answer, he could have just lied and said yes but that wasn’t the kind of man he was so instead he remained silent.

"My loyalty was to Greyfure not to the Alpha," Deric said.

"That’s enough, both of you," Leo said and they both went silent but didn’t stop throwing death glares at each other.

"Make the announcement, tomorrow I’ll take on all who challenge. It’s time to show the strength of The True Alpha."
