Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 65: Furious Sarah
Chapter 65: Furious Sarah
He had never experienced such joy from being with a woman as he did with her. Was it because he had already mentally prepared himself to mate with her for the sake of the heir they desired? Or was he finally adapting to being with a woman in a more meaningful way?
"What’s funny?" Annoyed, she asked, trying to face him, but he held her in place, preventing her from moving.
"I don’t want you to panic again! I will be fine," he assured her, and she felt guilty. He was doing it for her? Was that why he abruptly stopped? She bit her lip in shame and hated herself for having such trauma.
"I am sorry," she whispered.
"You staying like this will help me." Seeing that she was probably blaming herself, he tried to convince her.
"Your breasts are soft," noticing her silence, he decided to lighten the mood. As expected, she made a soft sound, indicating that she was blushing.
"Stop being flirty," she rebuked him. Damien playfully pinched her nipple, causing her to wince in pain. "That hurts," she whispered, hoping he didn’t hear.
"I am going to take a rest now," he draped the blanket over them, covering them properly, with Aurora securely held in his arms. Soon, he drifted off to sleep.
Aurora wanted to ask him about the gown he had prepared for her, but she didn’t want to add to his pain, so she held back her words and stayed still in his embrace.
She scolded herself for losing her senses when she saw his naked chest, she had allowed herself to be seduced and had forgotten her purpose for entering his room.
If only her towel hadn’t fallen, she might have managed to escape from his room when he was almost reaching her side. Blushing at how things turned out, she eventually drifted off to sleep as well.
Meanwhile, after dinner at the dining table, Sarah returned to her room with a sullen expression, disappointed at not seeing Damien there. Her anger grew when she heard that Aurora and the Alpha were together when she inquired from his beta.
Damien was certainly pushing her buttons, and she didn’t mind playing the same game. She didn’t care if he didn’t love her now, they were going to get married, and eventually, he would fall in love with her, whether he liked it or not. But Aurora could be a potential threat if he never left her side for a second.
As she schemed to get rid of her only obstacle, her thoughts were interrupted by her mother entering her room.
"Mother! I thought you had already gone to sleep," surprised to see her mother, Sarah stood up to welcome her.
"How could I sleep after noticing how sad you looked this evening?" Laura gently held her daughter’s cheeks, showing concern and then hugged her.
"Is it that obvious?" Sarah thought she had concealed her emotions, but it seemed she failed.
"As your mother, I can sense it, my sweetie," Laura replied endearingly and released her from the embrace. They both sat at the edge of the bed.
"What can I do, mother? He doesn’t seem to look my way with her around the mansion," Sarah said sadly, feeling desperate and wishing Aurora would just disappear. She couldn’t understand what he saw in such a skinny and weird woman. Why would a normal she-wolf have white hair?
"I am always here for you. Just tell me what you want," her mother reassured with a smile.
"I want her gone," Sarah hesitated for a moment but eventually made her request.
"It’s done. Don’t you think her hair is too strange?" Laura hinted with an evil smile.
Sarah recognized that sinister look, and her eyes sparkled with joy as she understood her mother’s plan.
"We will accuse her of being a witch, just like Sandra’s case," Sarah revealed, and her mother nodded in satisfaction. She loved it when her daughter understood her plans perfectly, she was truly her mother’s daughter.
"When does it start?" Anxious to eliminate Aurora soon, Sarah asked.
"Have a goodnight’s rest first. We just arrived, and it would be suspicious if chaos started as soon as we came. Let’s give it some time!" Her mother replied, and Sarah nodded in understanding.
"Goodnight, darling," bidding her mother farewell, she saw her out of the room and happily went back to bed.
Dave sat on his favorite tree in the mansion, observing the beautiful moon dancing in the sky. He had never been one to be emotional, so why was he suddenly experiencing unknown feelings just because Charlotte was no longer chasing after him?
A lot of things had changed, Charlotte was getting married, soon to be a mother, and he found himself developing strange emotions.
Sighing, he leaned his back against the tree and continued pondering why he was also changing.
"Hey!" Charlotte exclaimed, surprised to find Dave on the tree she always came to release her tears in the mansion whenever Dave hurt her. For someone who claimed to dislike her, it was strange to see him there.
"I..." shocked, Dave tried to come up with an excuse, but he couldn’t find any and dejectedly dropped his head.
"It’s fine, I don’t care. It’s the new Charlotte you are seeing." Assuring him, she took a seat beside him and smiled at the moon.
Glancing between her smiling face and the moon, he noticed how similar Charlotte was to the moon. She was just as beautiful as the moon, how did he never see her as a woman? He quickly averted his gaze when Charlotte looked at him.
"Do you have something on your mind? I also used to come here to cry back then. I never knew you did too," she said, reminiscing about the past and wearing an unbothered smile.
"Was it because of me?" He asked, even though he already knew the answer. Why had he never realized back then that he was hurting her?
"Yes."
