Chapter 180: Chapter 180 Cousin Truly Cares for Me

"No, no, Isabella, your cousin is blind now, and he’s been locked up in a mental hospital. He can’t see a doctor and is barely hanging on to life!"

Isabella Weaver was shocked: "What?"

"Your husband is the one who put him there. He’s covered in injuries and has had a constant high fever. It’s all because of you that he’s like this. How can you not care about him!"

Isabella knew that Harry Hunter had sent Alexander Parker to the hospital, and it was her who requested it. But how could it be a mental hospital?

Isabella grabbed her coat and changed her shoes: "Let’s go."

When they arrived at the mental hospital, Alexander Parker was being held down on the bed for an injection.

Several nurses and doctors couldn’t hold him down, and he injured them. He had a continuous high fever, and ordinary fever-reducing shots weren’t working. They needed to do an intravenous injection, but he wasn’t cooperating. Christopher Weaver and Rose Parker were also holding him down. His father, Ryan Parker, had rushed over, trying to hold his son but couldn’t, and even got kicked in the chest.

If it weren’t for his injuries, these people would likely have been beaten with broken limbs by him.

His resistance to medication was something ordinary people couldn’t understand. Reese Renfrew was the only one who knew that he had been injected with and had consumed too much medication, leading to a strong psychological aversion to it. She rushed forward to coax him, but it was of no use; she only added to the confusion.

The entire ward was in chaos.

"Cousin."

Isabella called out calmly.

The chaotic ward instantly fell silent.

When Alexander Parker heard this voice, he froze where he was, and the doctor seized the opportunity to quickly insert the needle into his vein.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, turning in surprise to look at the girl standing at the door, not understanding why just two words from her could calm the troublemaker on the bed.

In a mint-green sports shirt, faded jeans, and a black jacket, with her long hair cascading over her shoulders, it was a simple student outfit that couldn’t be any simpler. Only her extremely beautiful face brought endless charm to the minimalist clothing.

Her faint aura was at odds with the surroundings, as if she had experienced all the vicissitudes of life, seen through everything, and her calm and composed demeanor was completely out of sync with her slightly young appearance.

Moments later, a room full of doctors and nurses tidied up the disorderly ward and left with their items.

Alexander Parker lay on the bed, with an intravenous needle in his arm, slowly administering medicine and nutrients.

"Cousin, come closer."

He spoke hoarsely, trying to sit up when he heard footsteps.

Isabella pressed his shoulder down: "Cousin, just lie down. You don’t need to get up."

He obediently lay back down, smiling at the corners of his lips, "Cousin really cares about me."

Ella Weaver, standing to the side, nearly rolled her eyes to the sky.

Just now, everyone told him to lie down, but he refused to listen and even hit people. But when Isabella told him to lie down, he was pleased. He thought no one cared for him but Isabella! Utter absurdity!

Isabella waved her hand in front of his eyes: "You can’t see?"

Alexander caught her hand and placed it on his chest, speaking softly, "There’s still a little light. I think I’ll be completely blind tomorrow."

Everyone was taken aback. He wasn’t completely blind, yet he knew precisely the progression of his condition! And he remained silent, just waiting for his sight to fade!

Could it be that he really wanted to die?

Otherwise, who would be so calm about losing their sight!

Reese Renfrew couldn’t help but start sobbing softly, determined that no matter what, she’d have Isabella marry into the family to be with her son.
