Chapter 161: Sorry, I stepped on your flowers
Chapter 161: Chapter 161: Sorry, I stepped on your flowers
The arrival of spring brought fresh buds to the plants in the Weaver Family’s Garden Estate, and the goose-yellow forsythia had already bloomed all over the branches.
Rose Parker, along with Ella Weaver, was pruning flower branches in the garden and planting newly bought flowers. With a sense of owner’s ease and arrogance, they smiled at Isabella Weaver: "Isabella is back. Why are you dressed like this today? Went for an interview? The Weaver Family doesn’t need the little money you earn working, don’t go anymore in the future!"
Isabella walked over and crushed a newly pruned rose of Rose Parker with a cold voice: "The Weaver Family doesn’t lack money to buy flowers either, you don’t need to plant anymore."
The smile on Rose Parker’s face suddenly disappeared.
She usually didn’t work; her biggest hobby was growing flowers. This rose was a rare species she had a friend bring back from abroad. Out of more than ten bushes planted, only this one survived. She cherished it greatly and took special care of it, refusing to let servants handle it.
And now, Isabella had directly crushed it!
Ella Weaver knew how much effort Rose Parker had put into that rose, and she shouted angrily: "Isabella Weaver, are you even human? You wouldn’t even spare a flower! You owe us for the rose!"
Isabella gave her a cold smile, walked over, and stomped on the newly planted crabapple flower, orchids, and carnations: "Really sorry, your flowers are all dead now, and I’m really too poor to pay you back."
Ella Weaver was so angry that her fingers trembled, and she ran to hold onto Christopher Weaver’s arm, crying: "Dad, look at her, she bullies me and Mom as soon as she comes home. She’s so cruel; all the flowers I worked hard to plant all morning have been destroyed by her!"
Christopher Weaver, although indifferent to plants, saw his daughter and wife were clearly unhappy and started scolding Isabella: "I asked you to come home not to create trouble. Don’t think marrying into the Hunter Family makes you proud. Apologize to your mom and sister!"
Isabella, however, stared at the Garden Estate for a long while before suddenly asking: "Would my mom’s body be buried here in the garden? She died without even a grave. She used to be your chief designer, used to be your woman. How could her end be so miserable? Ella Weaver even calls me cruel, hahaha, can I be as cruel as you?"
Christopher Weaver’s face darkened as he said: "If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll have someone seal your mouth! Go into the living room, I have something to ask you!"
Isabella’s attempt to provoke didn’t work this time, realizing she shouldn’t irritate Christopher Weaver any further or she would suffer.
She went into the living room, seeing glass cups and vases everywhere, and laughed coldly inside.
Ella Weaver’s preparation for getting Christopher Weaver to hit Isabella was thoroughly complete; anyone who didn’t know would think the Weaver Family sold glass cups!
Christopher Weaver also came in, picked up a cup to drink some water: "How did you meet the young master of the Hunter Family? Tell me the process!"
Ella Weaver and Rose Parker also came in and, upon hearing the question, perked up their ears.
Ella Weaver learned only today that the person Isabella married was the young master of the Hunter Family!
No wonder when she saw Harry Hunter the other day, she felt his presence was extraordinary like a prince, truly noble beyond words!
How would such a wealthy and handsome heir to a luxury family marry Isabella, who was an illegitimate child not accepted in society?
She was scratching her head, wanting to know what method Isabella used to deceive Harry Hunter into marrying her.
However, Isabella was utterly uncooperative: "My romantic affairs are private and cannot be disclosed!"
