(6800)_4 Foresight View and Silver Chip were activated simultaneously, allowing Ian to see through Miles’ current situation completely.

At this moment, the young Swordsman’s injuries had been fundamentally controlled.

Spirit Energy and the Body are inherently one; the awakening of Spirit Energy revitalizes the body, enhancing physical strength, regenerative abilities, and even digestive capacity.

It was like when Ian first awakened Foresight View, and his physical condition improved in all aspects to meet the basic training requirements of a Sublimator.

For an Ordinary person, although Miles’ injuries were severe, with proper care, he could recover within a week or two.

The uniform distribution of injury through his Spirit Energy struck Ian as a bright idea; this unique sharing of damage essentially acted as another form of ‘structural’ damage reduction, simply put, as if digitizing everything about a person, turning all Vitality into a ‘health bar’.

As long as the health bar doesn’t drop to a certain level, it will not affect one’s combat strength.

A wound that could have severed limbs, when meeting Miles’ Spirit Energy, could only cause him to bleed, which, despite looking terrifying, would not reduce his fighting efficacy.

Moreover…

the way his Spirit Energy was activated was very unique.

Not only does it serve as a prototype for ‘targeted defense Spirit Energy’, one of the most important elements of a ‘Protective Shield’.

Miles’ Spirit Energy was constructed together with a portion of ‘Soul’.

In other words, Miles is a ‘miniature Deceased Monarch’, with many relatives or souls of Azure City residents left within his and the young girl Cynthia’s bodies.

However, they don’t possess the true power of a Deceased Monarch, nor the Marks of one, so as the power of the souls strengthens their Body, it also gradually transforms their body towards Spirit Substance.

For Ordinary people, this is not a good thing…

Holders of a Spirit Substance Body possess souls, allowing them to perceive the external world more sensitively.

But for the soulless little girl, a half-step towards a Spirit Substance Body could lead to insensitivity to her own injuries, which could easily cause various accidents.

Miles himself is a Spirit Energy User, which is not too problematic, as he possesses the prototype of a soul, minimizing the impact.

However, his Spirit Energy is connected to a portion of the residents’ souls, which indeed enhances the power of his Spirit Energy, so much so that it even withstands the attacks of Second-Level Magical Beasts, but it’s sporadically effective.

This isn’t about being ineffective, but rather that Miles needs a more steadfast ‘Belief’ to activate his abilities.

A belief that can not only influence oneself but also affect the souls within one’s body is necessary for success!

“Interesting, very interesting!”

This special construction caught Ian’s eye.

Miles’s innate ‘amplification structure’ made up of his own Spirit Energy and foreign Spirit Energy might very well be a gift from the Lost Souls of Azure City to their sole survivor, and if this natural construction could be applied to his planned ‘Spirit Machine Core Shelter System’, it could greatly enhance its defensive capabilities.

Moreover, Miles’ Spirit Energy also bears a striking resemblance to the ‘Protector Knight’ Ian encountered on the Spirit Disaster Path…

If Ian had been wondering, Protector Knights might partly consist of his own Deceased Monarch power ‘Netherworld Armor’, but unclear about the other parts.

Now, he understands that Miles is the prototype of the ‘Protector Knight’!

The Spirit Energy within Miles,

is the Guidance of Destiny, or rather, the actions Ian took along the way, leading Miles to his Domain.

This is not a coincidence, but a predetermined fate!

Not to mention, Miles and Cynthia are among the few remaining living hosts of the Artificial Soul experiments conducted by the Duke of Sorin!

This could very well address the issue he and Adalbert faced earlier…

as long as they conduct a few more checks on the condition of the Artificial Soul operations within Miles and Cynthia’s bodies, the new model Artificial Soul can swiftly move beyond the initial laboratory stage and into clinical practicality!

[Adalbert?]

Ian turned to the Deceased Monarch, intending to communicate how to trick Miles into the laboratory under some pretext…

Well, with his current status, a single command would suffice, and Miles would be in the laboratory, even considering it an honor, as such a check wouldn’t pose any problems.

Ian would even help to sort out the link structure between his Spirit Energy and Lost Souls, allowing his Spirit Energy to function more smoothly.

But clearly, Adalbert wasn’t currently preoccupied with experimental matters.

Ian noticed that his chief researcher also looked excited, but not for the same reasons, not because he saw the ‘inspiration’ and ‘prototype’ crucial for many future technologies in Miles.

This ethically upright Deceased Monarch Researcher was simply thrilled that the person before him was one of the few survivors from Avak Domain.

“It’s alright now, you’ve come to South Ridge, you won’t be in danger anymore!”

Adalbert stepped forward, this researcher who looked even younger than Miles took the hands of a bewildered Miles with a sincere promise: “This is the last time!

Trust me, it’s nothing like Avak Domain here; this is a tranquil and peaceful territory!”

“You and your sister will embrace a brand new future, a new life!”

Green Tide exchanged a look with Miles; both were held by Adalbert’s earnest grip, equally puzzled yet also sensing the sincere conviction of the Swordsman, and similar thoughts welled up in their hearts.

“Ah, this…”

“Is it really that amazing?”

And Ian sighed.

As a Prophet, Ian had grown accustomed to making choices based on cold, clear-cut advantages and trends, not needing to ponder the difference between emotions and reality because his emotions had always aligned with reality’s direction.

Upon reflection, his utilitarian approach as a Lord might well be compensating for the excessive and plentiful emotions of his subordinates.

But that…

wasn’t necessarily bad.

After all, aiming to ascend Above the Sky, making people look up to the stars voluntarily, yearning to travel farther…

Clearly required smiles, not sorrows.

Terra Year 774, February 28th, Green Tide slays the Mud Bog Titan Viper at the center of Black Swamp.

Terra Year 774, March 14th, the experimental version of Artificial Soul from Xia Hui Territory freshly emerges.

The era is heading towards a new chapter.
