(6200)_2 Moreover, since these individuals are defeated warriors who are well aware of their status as such, Ian has many experimental techniques and management methods he can apply to this group of people who have neither the will nor the courage to resist.
Perhaps they might be the first to truly become Ian’s people.
Most importantly, Ian did not strip them of their Sublimator inheritance; he merely deprived them of the wealth necessary to become a Sublimator.
For the Mountain People, this was simply the loss of all former wealth, but their honor remained intact.
The Dragon God’s Emissary promised them a clean slate for all their sins, with a fresh start for everything else.
Rather than punishment, it was almost a blessing.
Ultimately, with the arrival of the new year, the Mountain People could visibly look forward to better days, willingly offering their allegiance to the progeny of the King of the Mountain, to the True Dragon that would bring them peace.
And Sio was not idle either.
Aside from building the nest, Sio also assisted Roland and the Dwarf squad who were surveying the terrain around Gorge Mouth Area—Sio was never the type to place themselves above others.
Upon hearing Roland’s call for help, Sio would lend a hand.
The consequence of Sio’s intervention was the burning down of three forests, leveling four small hills, consuming an entire tribe of Pinecone Wild Boars, driving away a large number of Magical Beasts, and even digging a fifty-meter-deep pit in a place Roland offhandedly remarked ‘could have a deeper foundation.’
Honestly, as someone from another land who had never seen a dragon before, Roland’s view of Sio was filled with awe—the Gorge Mouth Area he planned to survey preliminarily over several months was expedited by the power of the True Dragon so much that it could be completed by the end of the month.
Why?
The forest was burned to the ground, the hills were flattened, and the beasts were gone—the terrain turned completely level.
If the survey would still take time, it would have to mean he was skiving off!
This is the power of the True Dragon, truly frightful, surpassing the combined efforts of an entire engineering team.
Roland’s Dwarf senior expressed this sentiment, referring to a month’s work done by Sio as one ‘Dragonforce’, using this to gauge the efficiency of every major engineering team he knew of.
Now Sio had become a unit of measurement.
Just from this, Ian could infer that Sio’s recent recovery was certainly quite good, and because of the strong recovery, Sio was frantically expending energy, almost like a blind person who regained their sight and spent every day traveling and sightseeing, or a deaf person who regained their hearing and listened to audio CDs every day.
Given that, Ian had to present a new idea to Sio…
Based on the information he had in the Iron Dragon Nest, the true power of the True Dragons would only be fully presented at the Fourth Power Level.
For the Kindling True Dragons, this power is the manifestation of the truly powerful civilizational forces hidden within the Spark, but for a fifth generation True Dragon like Sio, there seems to be another pattern.
“The first generation Ancestral True Dragons were obviously ‘tools’ directly created by the ‘Creators’; they possessed inconceivable power, capable even of shattering stars,” Ian murmured.
“And the second generation was likely predestined by the Creators as ‘auxiliary tools’ nurtured by the Ancestral True Dragons, embodying a hybrid form of machine and living organism, possessing immense might, and it was by the joint hands of the first and second generation True Dragons that the Third Generation Kindling True Dragons were created.”
“What exactly happened between the third and fourth generation True Dragons, I’m not sure, and neither does the Qing Steel Dragon understand.
But a fourth-generation True Dragon like the King of the Mountain has entirely evolved into a living creature, even capable of parthenogenic reproduction to give birth to the fifth generation of True Dragons, that is, Sio.”
“If the King of the Mountain possesses the power of the Spark, then where did it come from?
Even the True Dragon reserves of Sparks are not that plentiful, almost exhausted after nurturing third-generation True Dragons, and Sio does not possess this Spark power whatsoever.”
“The Dragon of the Illusionary Realm, the advancement tip given by the Silver Chip…
this power, rather than calling it ‘Spark’, is more aptly the extreme manifestation of the ‘Dragon Blood’s power,’ the True Dragon’s ability to adapt to any environment.”
Ian speculated that just as the Terra civilization had always been attempting to learn from the True Dragons or even ‘take’ their powers, the True Dragons were likewise learning the technologies of the Terra civilization.
The development and sublimation of their own blood power held a taste of Terra Ascendants.
To corroborate this speculation, Ian had come here.
“Sio?”
The Dragon Nest lay deep within a mountain, but directly accessible through an entrance.
With one glance, Ian could see the true form of Sio, lying prostrate in the center of the nest, and he understood: “Ah, it’s the avatar out on a task.”
Even True Dragons are not perfect in everything, with the simplest issue being that their true form is too large, making experiments and activities quite cumbersome.
Therefore, using the unique nature of their souls, the True Dragons developed the technology of avatars to work on their behalf.
For instance, deep within Sio’s Dragon Nest, there are specialized laboratories and resting halls dedicated for the work of avatars.
For dragons, constructing such rooms is effortless but comes with many conveniences and is well worth it.
Since the true form was in ‘slumber’, it indicated that Sio’s avatar was engrossed in some significant tasks.
Ian did not deliberately awaken Sio’s true form but instead proceeded to the avatar’s laboratory and knocked: “Sio, I need you for something.”
