898: Chapter 64 Bowing to Me (6600)_4 898: Chapter 64 Bowing to Me (6600)_4 “Ah!”

A warrior from the Jiamu Sect of the Rebel Highlanders, who had always worshiped Kode, suddenly let out a mad scream.

He raised his gun and pulled the trigger at Ian.

But Ian was unconcerned.

He slightly tilted his head and glanced at the approaching bullet from the corner of his eye.

Then, an exceedingly fine Blade of Ice coalesced, slicing the bullet, disappearing into the torrential rain.

The warrior who fired the shot suddenly screamed in agony, falling to the ground headfirst.

Beginning from his skull, a dense layer of ice was spreading.

In the blink of an eye, he became an ice sculpture.

Ian didn’t pay much attention to such a minor matter.

He walked through the center of the battlefield, with his back toward the Imperial Mountaineers and heading towards the Rebel Highlanders.

Wherever he passed, the accumulated rain, mud, and snow on the battlefield automatically froze under his feet, forming a smooth, clean path—an Ice Path by the shores of the Southern Sea.

“All Rebel Highlanders, lay down your weapons.”

“Surrender.”

Stepping on the ice-paved path, making sure everyone could see the head in his hand, Ian calmly made his second proclamation: “Or die.”

“It’s him…”

“The Prophet of the Descending Thunder…

Dragonblood…”

“The maniac who claims to be the Dragon God’s Emissary…”

The exclamations and discussions within the Rebel Highlanders rang incessantly, but facing the white-haired youth right in front of them, they didn’t dare to initiate any attack or resistance.

Only a few, hidden amongst the Mountain Troops, the warriors and instructors from Fiery Flame Land’s faces fluctuated uncertainly.

They watched Ian with a grave expression, gripping their weapons tightly, uncertain whether to strike at the Empire Domain Lord who seemed so crucial.

Ian had already noticed these special individuals, but he paid them no mind.

The youth steadily approached the center of the Rebel Highlanders’ formation.

It was there the Jiamu Sect’s troops were stationed, and where the majority of the Alchemical Cannons were located.

As long as he suppressed this position, the victory could be declared.

“Charge!

We can’t let him dismantle the will of these Mountain People so easily!”

“For Independence!

For the Glory of the Dragon God!”

The Instructors of Fiery Flame Land finally decided.

They issued a resolute battle cry, charging forward, firing Cannonballs, aiming to awaken the fighting spirit of the Rebel Highlanders—even if not, they intended to plant a seed in their hearts, so that they wouldn’t succumb directly to Ian wielding the True Dragon’s Power and the head of Kode.

But they themselves, along with all their bullets and cannonballs, couldn’t come within ten meters of Ian.

Ian simply walked forward, and on his left, water in the air turned into Ice Shields, while on his right, it expanded into steam.

The ice-turned shields blocked the Alchemical Cannons’ barrage.

Even though the Ice Shield shattered into pieces, the youth remained unscathed.

The searing hot steam enveloped the Fiery Flame Land’s warriors, who intended to rush Ian’s side.

The weakest among them seemed to melt in an instant; their exposed Flesh and Blood like candles in the flame, rapidly dissolving, as bones and Armored Clothing fell from the melting flesh, and even the bones began to soften, turning into a mushy pile.

Corrosive agents and high-heat steam were a perfect combination, Ian didn’t find himself cruel.

Those who died from such attacks wouldn’t even perceivably feel pain.

And those with greater strength, mostly Sublimators, could resist the erosion of the corrosive agents, but what met them was Ian’s gaze.

A light-blue hue in his eyes left streaks like lightning across their vision, and the brilliant Spirit Energy Radiance pierced through all their hearts and souls in an instant.

Then, what followed was the undeniably unstoppable Blade of Ice.

Their heads were severed by the intangible blade, blood not having enough time to flow, before their bodies turned into ice sculptures and heads rolled into the mud.

All the Mountain People watched with their own eyes as those who dared to resist melted away before them, or became beheaded ice sculptures.

“One won’t die if there’s no resistance; why can’t this be understood?”

Ian sighed softly.

Eventually, he arrived at the Alchemical Cannon position.

There, all the Mountain People artillerymen looked at each other, then retreated.

They completely gave up any resistance.

Ian had dissolved the Mountain People’s strongest armament.

And behind him, a road of ice stretched across half the battlefield.

On both sides of the road were either Flesh and Blood mush or ice-cast statues, all those who dared to defy Ian lay dead where they stood.

Boom.

Sio arrived behind Ian, crushing the Rebel Tribe’s tents as if also crushing the backbone of all Rebel Highlanders’ resistance.

The True Dragon raised its claw and cradled the youth in its palm, hoisting him high into the air.

And there the white-haired Lord stood, high upon the Dragon’s palm, overlooking everyone from above.

“I am the Dragon God’s heir, the Prophet of the Descending Thunder, the predestined ruler of the Mountain People.”

Ian looked over the entire battlefield as thunder roared to back his words: “Bow to me, and I shall bring you peace and tranquility.”

The Rebel Highlanders watched blankly at the ‘Dragon God’s Emissary’ who had come into the heart of their position.

They were resentful, they were afraid, they felt it was unbelievable.

They could not comprehend how the situation had turned so drastically.

But this was Terra, these were the Rules of the world.

When no Sublimator could withstand the enemy’s Sublimator, no matter how much one refuses to acknowledge it, defeat was a fact.

So…

They bowed their heads.

Bowed to Ian.

And then.

The War ended.
