If they really want to run, who knows how fast they can go…”

However, just as the news of the surprise attack’s failure had yet to reach them.

The real bad news arrived.

“Chieftain!

Enemy troops have appeared from behind!”

When he heard this news, Tiechen thought he was hallucinating.

He turned his head to look towards the rear of his position, incredulously seeing more than thirty Magnetic Storm Armor suits clustering together at the other end of the mountain road, while the white-haired Lord was commanding in midair, leading a torrent of steel and thunder forward in a charge.

At the first chance he got, Ian found the retreating Magnetic Storm Armor Squad and then led them to circle around and directly attack the rear of the Mountain Troops.

This was an offensive that could decide the outcome of the battle, and he was filled with confidence.

“What’s going on?!

Where are Zhenzhou and Sheyan?!”

Tiechen took a sharp breath and immediately ordered his troops to reverse direction, directing the Alchemical Cannons to bombard these Magnetic Storm Armors attacking from the rear.

Now that they were not under thunderstorm strikes and were in firm formation, the Imperial People thought they could encircle and crush them — they were sorely mistaken.

Once he devoured this Magnetic Storm Armor Squad, he could attack the city without any concerns!

But at that moment, Ian had already raised his sword.

It wasn’t the Heavy Abyss Iron Sword, but an ordinary Iron Pattern Sword.

Now its surface was covered by a layer of intersecting ice blades, chill to the touch, and all the Magnetic Storm Armor units raised their Magnetic Burst Launchers as well.

“Charge!”

The ground thundered as the steel exoskeletons of the Powered Armor trampled upon the earth, causing trees and rocks on both sides to continuously shake, dislodging leaves and trembling non-stop, with mud on the ground rising like tidal wave crests.

The Mountain Troops’ first volley of cannons turned direction; they were already aiming.

But Ian’s speed was like that of a shooting star.

As the roar of cannon fire sounded, he swung his sword in a sweeping motion, slicing through the incoming cannonballs, and his sword wind continued to extend forward, knocking down and hurling aside all the outermost Mountain soldiers.

Then, he crashed into the rear end of the Mountain Troops, causing large chunks of shattered rocks, armor debris, and pieces of flesh and blood to fly.

The Mountain soldiers shivered and retreated, opening up a circular vacuum in which Ian, who had landed in that spot, looked up.

In his eyes, there were no other Mountain soldiers, only the astonished Chief Tiechen.

Behind him, arcs of lightning continuously flared up as the Magnetic Storm Armor troops closely followed Ian, crashing into the rear of the Mountain Troops.

Amid the smell of char and roasted meat flitting through the air, a great number of soldiers collapsed.

They shoved each other trying to flee, causing the entire formation to fall into chaos.

“The enemy is in disarray!”

In Leyan City, Scott acutely sensed the loud cries of battle coming from behind the fog.

He turned his head towards Adalbert and received an affirmative response, “Ian is there.”

“Cannon fire support!” The Iron Folk didn’t decide to charge out of the city and attack in a pincer movement with Ian because they knew the Mountain Troops would surely disperse and leave the area shrouded in fog.

Subsequently, both the cannons and the Charged Rifles firing in volleys would bring tremendous casualties.

That would be the truly best form of support.

At that moment, Ian stood off against Tiechen.

One man, one sword, breaking through the enemy ranks.

This was not uncommon in Terra, but when the opponents were of the same Power Level, even when the Sublimators outnumbered one side by several fold, to still see such a scene could only be described as incredible.

“Damn White Folks brat, die!”

Tiechen had neither the mood nor the leeway for further talk.

He picked up his battle axe from beside him.

Although his spine still ached slightly from the previous fight in the Armor Suit, he still believed in his own strength.

Thud, thud, thud—the burly Mountain Tribes Chieftain ran without hesitation, leading his own squad of personal guards in an attack against Ian.

“A corpse is talking.”

But Ian lifted his sword, he too beginning to charge.

The Frost Comet Skeleton within him accelerated his movement, creating an icy blue arc with his sword blade in midair.

Everyone present could see an icy blue streak of light sweep across, cutting through the entire battlefield.

A gust of cold wind blew as Ian appeared behind Tiechen and his troops.

He slowly sheathed his sword.

And just as the Iron Pattern Sword was completely sheathed, Tiechen and all his personal guards were simultaneously cut in half at the waist.

Blood spurted out.

Tiechen wasn’t dead yet; the drugs previously injected into him gave him exceptionally tenacious vitality, even greatly enhancing his strength and speed.

But in front of Ian, who had also taken the drugs, that still wasn’t enough.

He wanted to say something, but Ian wasn’t listening.

The frost spread, freezing Tiechen’s head, causing his eyes to lose their luster.

The last Mountain Tribes Chieftain died, and with that, the Mountain Troops completely collapsed—they began to cry and scramble away, fleeing, while rays from Charged Rifles shot from the distant Leyan City, killing those fleeing soldiers.

When Ian, leading the Magnetic Storm Armor Squad, appeared in view of Leyan City’s side, the entire battlefield momentarily fell silent, all eyes fixated on their Lord.

He who had created all this situation, who had brought new technology, defeated the enemy, and was the first to break through their lines, was undeniably their Lord and commander.

Then came the cheers—cheers of victory!

Victory had arrived.
