(6200, second update)_2 Stabbing might be passable, but how could one swing it so nimbly and swiftly if he wasn’t a Sublimator?

“Rest for now.

Next, I’ll take you to retrieve your equipment.

Look at the junk you’re wearing now—these trinkets won’t help us reclaim our foundation.”

After ending the training speech, Ian had all the soldiers stand by right there, then he turned his head, signaling Scott to come over as he walked towards the Armor Suit.

The young man entered the cockpit, with Scott standing behind.

The space was adequate; the cockpit of an Armor Suit was generally designed to accommodate one or two people.

The Iron Folks watched as Ian connected various Signal Bone data lines to himself.

He opened his mouth several times as if to speak but remained silent since he hadn’t been given permission to talk.

“If you have any questions, just ask,” Ian said.

Since he was with someone familiar, Ian didn’t bother pretending; he was in a good mood, “I can tell you’re full of doubts.

If you don’t ask now, you’ll burst with curiosity.”

“Alright!”

Scott’s eyes lit up, finally granted permission to speak, “Ian, why are those team members…”

“Frenzy Potion.

Five percent concentration.

Plus, a bit of Hallucination Potion to make them immerse themselves more easily in my description, believing I’m a Celestial Deity incarnate, leading them towards glory,” Ian cut in before Scott could finish his question.

“More academically, the former stimulates the secretion of adrenaline and testosterone, and incidentally strengthens the muscles, while the latter interferes with cognitive nerves.”

“Even Sublimators might be harmed by excessive use, but this concentration is just right, a safe value for ordinary people that I’ve calculated.”

Saying this, a silver light gleamed in Ian’s eyes, his calmness fear-inducing: “I used the exhaust port of the Cyclops Giant to disperse the concoction among the troops.

Not to mention this bunch of youngsters who are eager to achieve great deeds under my lead, even an eighty-year-old would rekindle his ambitious spirit.”

“It’s actually…”

Scott’s eyes widened at Ian’s words, finding it hard to believe that things were so simple, science and Alchemy—he stood next to the Cyclops Giant and was therefore unaffected!

Glancing at Scott, Ian smiled lightly, “Do you want some too?”

“I still have a little diluted solution left over here, my specialized polarized version.

After drinking it, you’ll be filled with courage for at least a day.”

“…No, no need,” Scott took a deep breath, declining, “Such frenzy is somewhat…frightening.

And it hinders rational thinking…”

“That’s for the best.”

Ian’s expression turned serious, “Pure courage without Wisdom is no different from recklessness.

Scott, you are a commander, your squad members all respect you.

Viscount Grant believes you have the potential to command a large company (4~500 people), but I think you can do even better—which is why I want you to learn more.”

“Others might succumb to frenzy, but you can’t.”

Scott was silent for a while, then firmly said, “I understand.”

Ian turned back, starting up the Armor Suit, “I took you from the Viscount, effectively interrupting your career path.

You were supposed to be promoted to company commander this year, didn’t your parents say anything?”

“My parents are somewhat displeased, but they are not foolish,” Scott replied.

He felt the shake as the Armor Suit started, speaking earnestly, “The reason I became squad leader and caught the Viscount’s interest was because of you, Ian.

There’s no place for me in Harrison Port, I intended to work under you from the start.”

At this point, Scott frowned deeply, “But Ian, even with Armor Suits, we can’t take a depleted squad to attack the Mountain People rebels in Leyan Territory.”

“I’ve heard from the merchants who fled here, there are several different groups there, each with over a hundred people, and the leaders are all Sublimators…

Even with your strength, Ian, you have to be wary of ambushes.”

“Don’t worry, I’m not foolish.

How could I possibly attack Leyan Territory with just these thirty men?

These elite, prepared by Elder Prude for me, are the future officers,” Ian responded.

Operated the Armor Suit, Ian led Scott towards the workshop district within the city: “That’s why I’ve prepared the equipment.”

“Equipment that will definitely surprise those Mountain People adhering to ‘ancient traditions’.”

Under Ian’s call, the White Folks’ platoon moved forward with the Armor Suit.

The streets of Nauman City were shrouded in morning mist as the troop rolled over the capital region’s sturdy bluestone ground, moving to the workshop area as the sun’s glow shifted from orange-red to pure gold.

There was no mist around the Alchemy high-tower that could harness thunder; a faint ring of electric arcs expelled all the moist air, ensuring the dryness within a certain radius and repelling dust.

A stern and old-fashioned Alchemist waited in front of the high-tower to receive the troops led by Ian, surprised to see the spirited soldiers following the Armor Suit, not expecting such high morale from the family militia of Harrison Port.

They burned like fire, their strides powerful, their postures straight.

Especially in their eyes, there was an intense eagerness to rush to the battlefield and slaughter the enemy.

Just in that aspect alone, they were on par with the most formal Knights.

Because of the astonishing enthusiasm of these White Folks soldiers, the old Alchemist’s gaze was captivated for several seconds before shifting to the black Armor Suit, which should have been the focal point— even though he had already seen it that morning on reception, he couldn’t help but marvel at the ingenious design of the Cyclops Giant, particularly the evenly distributed exhaust ports and the Floatstone power unit; little wonder that relying on an ordinary Alchemy Furnace, this hefty giant could float in the air.
