Chapter 406 - 406 377 Bloodline Advancement 13
406: Chapter 377: Bloodline Advancement (1/3) 406: Chapter 377: Bloodline Advancement (1/3) In the Platinum Iridium Alchemy Laboratory, ice-blue starlight suffused the mist flowing around, even causing the entire Platinum Iridium Workshop to shimmer with visible radiance at night.
Active Source Quality Fluctuations drastically changed the expressions of several employees waiting outside.
—What potion could that person be synthesizing?!
Such Source Quality Fluctuations didn’t seem like those from an ordinary Elite Potion with Power Levels but resembled the Superior Elixirs from a higher tier!
If they hadn’t known that their Alchemy Laboratory didn’t possess the necessary conditions, they might have even guessed whether Ian was attempting to craft Quasi-Master Level top-tier Superior Elixirs.
Being able to affect the surrounding environment’s run of Source Quality Energy, this perfectly matched the definition of a Superior Elixir!
Or…
Was it a failed attempt?
But soon, that abrupt appearance of Source Quality Fluctuations converged, the process was extremely smooth, easing the concerns of those worried about Ian’s failure.
After a short while, the doors of the Alchemy Laboratory opened, and dense Source Quality mist gushed forth.
Then, through the thick White Mist, a path parted, and a silhouette stepped out from it.
It was indeed Ian, whose expression showed a hint of weariness, yet his eyes sparkled with a bright Spirit Energy Halo.
The youth, though encased in Armored Clothing, emitted a silver-blue luminescence from his cheeks and flowing hair, as if highlighted.
It was evident that he had just consumed a potent water attribute potion.
His originally iron luster white hair now possessed an ice-like translucent quality.
—Was it the Frostrime Elixir, the Superior Elixir that could permanently enhance adaptation to the chilling aspects of the water attribute?
Connecting it with Ian’s Bloodline, and the preservation box sent earlier from the Imperial Capital, such a guess popped into the minds of all employees.
—Indeed, the Ellen Family’s approval wasn’t easy to earn.
Giving you Magic Potion materials, to truly make them useful, one needed to create potions that improved oneself.
Failure meant wastage, and though selling them could bring in money, it would result in losing the Ellen Family’s favour.
Only someone like Ian now, who successfully synthesized a Superior Elixir from the materials they provided and consumed it, could prove his talent, affirming he truly deserved the recognition he got!
A stream of thoughts flowed, and it never crossed their minds that the potion Ian consumed was for the Second Energy Level.
For one, even the most talented Sublimators would normally only advance to the Second Energy Level around the age of sixteen or seventeen, a record still held by the former First Knight, who practically began his training from the womb, merely consuming the Magic Potion at fourteen.
Secondly, the Mystical Phenomena exhibited when truly advancing to the Second Energy Level wouldn’t be so simple—someone freshly entering the Second Energy Level couldn’t possibly control such vast Source Quality Fluctuations with their Spirit Energy.
For example, when Baron Leyan advanced to the Second Energy Level, the entire Leyan Flower Sea witnessed the sight of ‘Prosperity,’ and the barren land by the lake sprouted numerous green shoots overnight.
But Ian was not freshly entering the Second Energy Level.
He was a Spirit Energy User, and he had long been prepared for the advancement—his ripple of advancement was almost non-existent.
“The feeling…
is truly extraordinary,”
Ian closed his eyes, paying no mind to the respectful expressions of the employees from the Boleyn Workshop, sensing the nearly earth-shattering changes within himself.
Although he only used the Silver Chip to receive the Second Energy Level ‘Great Fairy’ Bloodline, the Origin Structure had indeed caused a permanent alteration to his Body.
If one were to describe the differences between each Inheritance using attributes like strength and agility, the Fae were undoubtedly specialized in spirit and perception, their physical strength determined solely by the strength of the Sublimation Material, and agility dependent on whether their perception could keep up, and if their spirit could finely control the movement of Source Quality Energy.
Simply put, the Fae’s ‘strength’ was determined by ‘spirit,’ ‘agility’ replaced by ‘perception’, and ‘constitution’ depended only on mana—when mana was depleted, it directly fizzled out; as long as there was mana, mobility wasn’t a concern.
Such an Inheritance Bloodline was perfectly suited for Ian, who used the Silver Chip to carry it.
When he took the Magic Potion, an overwhelming surge like a tidal wave of Source Quality Energy instantly coursed through his entire body—the icy, bone-chilling pain spread from his nerve structure to every corner of his body, piercing through even the tiniest and most ignored ends of his limbs with the coldness.
What followed was a sharp increase in sensitivity.
Fae are a type of spirit substance creature, their true form is a Spirit Energy core, and the way they shape their bodies is extremely similar to how Humans consume Magic Potion, which is to use external forces to mold entirely new bodies for themselves.
This body is created from scratch and is one hundred percent under their control.
Similarly,
Fae perceive the world through channels other than Spirit Energy, which also includes their entire body.
Ian personally experienced this extraordinary difference.
Even with his eyes closed, the young man could still clearly see everything within a sixty-meter radius centered on himself; within thirty meters everything was crystal clear, and beyond thirty meters things were slightly blurred, but he could still make out details such as faces, enough to not misidentify someone.
Such perception could even overlay with Foresight View, and Ian’s Foresight View no longer required the perspective brought by his eyes; he could see the things within a sixty-meter diameter behind him, and this sixty meters is the range of effect for Foresight View.
Of course, this doesn’t compare to the easily several hundred meters length of sight with his eyes, but this 360-degree expansion of his field of view guaranteed that no one could launch a surprise attack on him.
Besides this, the Sublimation Structures within his body also underwent metamorphosis and enhancement.
The Microtide Pearl was enhanced by ‘Fairy’s Streaming Light’ and advanced into [Fairy’s Ice Tide Bead], which could provide him with more abundant Water Attribute Essence and is also the core of Fairy Bloodline.
The Chanting Throat degenerated, and the dispersed Origin Structures, under the gathering effect of the Essence of Mingliu Grass, formed a new Sublimation Organ [Minor Abyssal Jade], located right below the young man’s throat, at the center of the collarbone.
This degeneration process was a major risk area for aberrations.
Too many people, because they couldn’t grasp the rhythm of degeneration and re-sublimation, resulted in the degenerated Sublimation Organ developing errors and aberrations when regrowing, losing the opportunity to advance further.
Although there’s a possibility of aberrating into even more powerful organs, that is a gamble, and not a wise choice for the intelligent.
However, for Ian, who had already deduced the relevant operational methods through Foresight View and the Silver Chip, all known dangers were avoidable trifles.
As such, Ian lost the Wave Singer’s ability to activate tidal waves with his voice, but he could now manipulate water flows with his mind; though it consumed more energy, his control was far more precise.
Simply put, he was originally only able to ‘accelerate,’ ‘pressurize,’ ‘stagnate,’ ‘rotate,’ and issue other simple commands to water flows through the Chanting Throat, but now he could freely control various forms of water mist and frost, and even, like Viscount Grant, launch water knives and ice blades with his dominant hand, use a mist wall for concealment, and control with ground frost.
Fairy’s Flying Feathers and the Coldlight Floater Stone strengthened [Fairy Wings], and spawned a brand new Sublimation Organ [Frost Comet Skeleton].
Though it’s called a skeleton, it actually relies on the structure of Fairy Wings; this bone structure, almost like ice crystals, can continuously generate a kind of high concentration supercooled fluid called ‘cold blood’ from the bone marrow, stored in Ian’s upper back.
When he activates Fairy Wings, the cold blood is injected into them, cooling while creating a strong cold jet stream, allowing Ian to move at high speeds and quickly generate an environment filled with water and extreme cold around him.
If used by the tiny bodies of Fae, this method of movement could easily surpass the speed of sound; the evaporating cold blood forming a jet stream mixed with a sonic boom cloud, making them look like comets rushing through the sky at high speed.
And when the Fae with their small but extremely sturdy bodies, moving at supersonic speeds carrying their weapons and Origin Quality, collide with something…
that is the genuine ‘adorable starry dive’.
The supporting Spirit Energy Nourishment Extract was also combined with ‘Fairy’s Streaming Light’ and the [Ghostly Regeneration Core], condensing into two Sublimation Organs [Fairy’s Lantern] and [Spiritual Substance Core].
[Lantern] is an organ that assists [Ice Tide Bead] in stabilizing and coordinating the Origin Quality throughout the body, as well as enhancing its conversion of Source Quality Energy—the support of this organ enabled Ian’s Primordial Seed to be strengthened, allowing him to accelerate the speed of Source Quality conversion through the expenditure of mental power, rapidly recovering to an optimal state for a short period of time at the cost of overexertion.
The latter [Spiritual Substance Core] was the Fae’s original regeneration organ, though specialized in psychic recovery.
It could convert substances nourishing to the soul and spirit into a condensed liquid similar to Spirit Energy Nourishment Extract, stored within the spinal fluid, and could be activated when needed for rapid recovery from various psychic traumas and Spirit Energy depletion.
In combination with the [Ghostly Regeneration Core], Ian’s regenerative capabilities were virtually flawless.
Generally, at the Second Energy Level, Fairy Bloodline only possess six Sublimation Organs, but Ian had seven, a more robust Sublimation support model constructed based on Hiliard’s research.
At the Second Energy Level, he could yet add another Sublimation Organ.
Whether it be Bloodline or True Form, the process of advancement is the same in this regard.
While strengthening the existing organs, one should keep adding new complements or Sublimation Structures that bring new abilities, step by step perfecting and fortifying them, achieving the essence elevation of life itself.
This is the Path of Sublimation.
