After the revelation of what the cursed tool can actually do, Elaina returned to the surface while holding the Cursed Hoe in her hands. At first, she thought it was just a simple curse and the way it had to be removed would be much easier than she thought. 100 regular uses of this cursed tool, how hard can it be?

"[Are you alright, Elaina?]"

"I am fine, God of Farming...but why are you asking me that now when I am already holding the cursed tool?"

The God of Farming did not say anything. Elaina also know that the God of Farming has no words to say either. Both of them are curious on what this tool to begin with and now that their curiosity is satisfied, they are now seeing the effects of that item.

"Ugh, fine. It doesn’t matter anymore, it is already too late to contemplate my decision. And besides, if this tool is blessed, it will be possible to be removed, right? I just needed to endure for a long while before getting to own the blessed version. No pain, no gain they say."

"[But one use of it is equivalent to 50 regular swings of a regular hoe, yes? Isn’t that going to be a troublesome thing?]" The God of Farming felt troubled.

Elaina sighed. What the God of Farming said was correct. However, she realized it too late before and now that she can’t escape the outcome, she will just have to endure it. And besides, the twins will be fine. Elaina will only need to be quick at purifying the cursed tool. Until then, she will have to ensure everything is working properly.

"Let’s go back. I might have some things I need to do to explain about this hoe in my hands, but I am quite sure that Julia and the others will understand what this was."

Unbeknownst to Elaina, the one she thought to be waiting for her return had just arrived on the 5th floor of the mines and was currently taking the elevator back to the surface. As much as she was tempted to try the hot spring that she discovered the moment she descended to the 5th floor, she had no idea what that place was and if it was even safe to soak in that water.

She didn’t struggle too much on descending but it was a bit annoying at first to realize the monsters in the mines were something that was present and something she didn’t expect to know. Elaina has been hiding this little secret from her and she has even no idea that this little thing is what she has been hiding. She is now wondering how long Elaina has been hiding this matter from her.

As the elevator door opened, Julia exited the elevator, and just in time before Elaina left the mine entrance. Elaina didn’t know about Julia’s presence in the mines, but now, Julia knows Elaina’s secret and she is no longer going to be fooled by what Elaina says as reasons if she ever explores the mines.

"I am quite sure Sis will be exploring a bit of the forest before going home. It’s time to slip through and get back home before she even suspects my presence. I can’t reveal this secret to Sister right now. I will confront her about it once the time is right. But right now, is not yet the time.

"By the way...is my sister carrying a black hoe on her hands?"

The Spring Season has finally spread through the whole place and even the flora around the forest has changed for the better and yet Elaina can only look on it.

"At first, I thought I could just use my other hand and let my free hand handle the other work that I can’t do due to the hoe equipped in my hand...but I never expected this to be this serious," Elaina lamented as she tried her best to remove one of her hands from gripping the cursed hoe and leave it handled by her non-dominant hand only to discover the grim truth. Not only can she proceed to just leave it as a one-handed curse...but as a two-handed curse.

"[You can’t hold remove both hands at all? You are stuck on that position?"] the God of Farming is also baffled.

Elaina tried her best to keep one of her hands to move. She wanted to ensure that she could move her hands, do something else aside from holding the cursed tool, and move on. However, it seems that wasn’t the case. She can’t hold anything else, nothing else aside from the cursed tool. She can’t even slip another item to hold with the cursed hoe. It was like it was preventing her from doing anything that should be possible.

"I can’t believe it either. This is something that even I would not expect to happen to me. I always thought that by using that as a workaround for the curse, I would be able to lessen the burden of having this curse with me. But I never expected that the workaround is not even working. It felt like I was being made fun of by an unseen force or whoever cast the curse of this tool and thought that it would be funny to see the realization. Whoever made this curse is somewhat of a genius. It might not be life-threatening but the feeling of enduring things like this while also actively ruining your daily routine."

"[A curse that punishes the curse bearer by impeding their regular actions, simple but terrifying.]" The God of Farming can tell that it might not be that bad if one hears how it works, but for some people, this is torture. One that they needed to endure just to complete.

Elaina shook her head.

"This might be a big curse, but I just needed to bless this tool. 100 usage is small. I will be able to do it. Alright, let’s get back home. There, we can begin doing the small task, slowly but surely."
