The talks between Elaina and her parents ended much sooner than expected. The others were in a tense mood since they thought that Elaina would suddenly burst out and lash out at the prisoners after she released her bloodlust aura to them. But despite the conversation of the three being minimal, the First Princess was able to extract a few things that she could use against them. She also got the proof that Elaina and his family that is currently staying in the Darcero Kingdom are innocent people and have nothing to do with the two people who instigated the chaos and caused massive trouble that almost led to the death of people.

Due to her bad mood, Elaina requested to the First Princess that she wanted to leave now before her mood turned more sour than it currently is. Princess Tabatha immediately understood Elaina and quickly let her get some escorts to send her back to the farm.

"Are you not going back?" Elaina asked Princess Tabatha.

"After what happened earlier, I will need to work with your grandparents to compile the reports and prepare for the trial. Are you sure you don’t want to stay and wait until the day of the trial? We will give you a VIP treatment here."

Elaina shook her head. "I would rather be with my children and stay with them than stay and watch the suffering of those people who made my life almost miserable. This is for my family and nothing else. Those people inside the cells? Those people ceased to be my family."

After that, Elaina left with Troy who nodded at Princess Tabatha before following her sibling to the entrance of the Dungeon.

Princess Tabatha shook her head and sighed. "Being in that kind of family must be so hard."

Inside the carriage, the silence between the two siblings is so apparent that it is very awkward. Elaina remained silent, while Troy was hesitant to break the ice because of Elaina’s mood. He had seen Elaina like this before, but he never interacted with her while she was in this mood, so seeing her again in this mood left Troy in a conundrum: whether he should talk to her or remain quiet.

But instead of Troy breaking the silence, Elaina moved first and did it.

"Brother...you left when we were still kids because you realize the true nature of our parents right?" Elaina seemed to have slowly calmed down.

"Not really. And Father wasn’t like this before. He was still a nice man when I left and still upholds most of our grandparents’ teachings. The only problem is that Mother is the one who is influencing our father from doing those things. I left because Father is usually on a business trip and the only one who was currently with me back then was Mother and you who is still a baby. I am reluctant to leave you there with Mother but knowing her, I know you will grow up just fine and I was right. I planned to take you with me to escape that household when you were older but I never expected you to be on training to become an Empress by the time I am already capable of living by myself."

"You plan on taking me before?"

"Yeah. However, I am glad I didn’t bring you with me. If I did, we wouldn’t be seeing Adelaide and Arthur be born in this world and I wouldn’t even step foot in Darcero Kingdom as a result."

Elaina immediately ponders the result of their actions and Troy is correct. If he did take her away from home while she was still young and had yet to undergo the training to become the next Empress, then she would never have been married to Alfred, never got pregnant by the twins, and would never escape to Darcero Kingdom where she would feel alive again.

There are so many what-if scenarios and lives that would change if she was rescued in time. Elaina chuckled after she realized it.

"Yeah. Thank goodness for that mistake, Brother. If you didn’t do that, perhaps, this farm will never be available at all."

Due to this topic, Elaina and Troy have finally forgotten about the debacle that happened not too long ago. But it was indeed for the best.

Elaina returned to the farm much earlier than she anticipated so instead of resting, she decided to do some of the farmwork to get her mind off of the topic with what happened earlier in the castle. Julia who welcomed them earlier also didn’t bother to talk to her about it either and only waited until Elaina talked to her about it.

There is a lot of stuff that needs to be done on the farm and there is no dull day about it. First is the apple tree. She left it growing last year and left it without tending it much aside from watering it day after day. The growth of the tree is very fast and soon enough, Elaina does not need to water it anymore due to how big it has become. It is also showing signs of growing its own fruits as well as there are now flowers showing over the leaves. She can also see a few bees flying here and there around, pollinating the flowers which would soon become actual apples.

It will take some time, but she is excited for the progress of the apple trees soon enough.

She also checks up on the work of everyone around the farm, checks their progress and their health to ensure they are not overworking as well and keeps the farm active before she starts to rest.

One thing that is bothering Elaina is how quiet the gods have become ever since the last year. They barely interact with her at the moment and it seems that there are even days when the gods and her have not gotten any sort of interaction like talking or exchanging any sort of word with each other. It is kinda odd for her.

However, she also didn’t want to disturb them in case they were just busy with their work since gods are also workaholics and not just that they don’t do anything aside from loitering around and receiving blessings from their followers and believers.

Just as when Elaina is already wondering what is happening with the gods these days, a message from the God of Farming appears before her, and she is startled by it because she hasn’t expecting any messages from him for quite a while.

"[You appear to be in good health, Elaina my dear]," the God of Farming chatted.

"God of Farming?! I wasn’t expecting to receive any messages from you today!"

"[Oh, sorry about that. You thought that us gods have started ignoring you since we are no longer talking to you?]" the God of Farming teased Elaina.

"Hey, I am not a kid who is waiting for you guys to talk to me. And besides, I am quite busy myself. I only just realized that you guys have been really quiet these days since there are barely any messages that you gods usually have to banter with one another so having a few quiet days of barely any sort of words was kind of new to me," Elaina replied.

"[You are right, we barely have any chatter around this time but not because we are ignoring you or anything. We are instead preparing many things for you to test out actually. The other gods are also preparing their own things as well so that they can assist you better in your farming process which they wanted you to introduce to the world in the future.]"

"Let me guess since you are now talking to me right now, you have something for me to test out or work on, right?" Elaina guessed.

"[Indeed. But this time, I have both works that are related to farming and also to the work of the Goddess of Medicine. Remember when I said we would collaborate on creating medicines? Well this time, she agreed that you will become one of the testers of the new medicine she was working on and with my help, you can even help spread it far and wide and make it well known to people.]"

"An experimental medicinal herb?"

"Not an herb...but a vegetable..."

Elaina was surprised. When they say a medicine, it is usually an herb of some sort and it never became one to be used as a component for food and more for creating potions...so now that a medicine that is also a food is something that she wasn’t expecting. The God of Farming already did some experimental medicine that is all food. But this was not acknowledged by the Goddess of Medicine so it is a wonder how the latter now agrees.

"[Elaina. This will be a task that will be necessary for the people and if it is spread to the world, the death of many people will become low. This might even revolutionized how medicine will be perceived now.]"
