The incident with the Young Duke flared up the masses as the incident became a widespread talk after the reveal of his capture.

As for Julia and Princess Tabatha, they have succeeded in restoring the people of the castle and reverting them from their petrification. Princess Tabatha also revealed the plans that the Young Duke had for the Royal Family which were backed up by the Shadow Ops who arrived in time to bring the squirming Young Duke who can no longer do anything with both his arms severed by Elaina.

Due to the actions of the Young Duke, the Royal Family ordered an immediate trial against the Young Duke who tried to appeal for innocence and frame up. However, after every clue and testimony surfaced, alongside the testimonies of the Shadow Ops who fought with him directly, the situation did not even turn the tide in the Young Duke’s favor. For the first time in his life, his calculations have been wrong.

Because of his crimes and his transgressions against the Royal Family, plus his forged identity and fraud, not to mention, the usage of Dark Magic and using it to harm someone, all of his crimes are heavy enough for him to receive the punishment of the death penalty by beheading.

The reason why uses beheading instead of hanging or magic electrocution is because the other two methods will give him a chance to revive again due to his connections with dark magic where he can revive himself. With beheading, his chances of returning to life are all snuffed out and he cannot hope to return for another chance.

Elaina heard all of this news from Julia who participated in the trial to testify and to also solidify the case against the Young Duke. She was not surprised by the result of the trial and was relieved that the Young Duke would now be gone for good this time. Even Princess Margaux is now relieved after hearing the result of the trial.

As for the execution, it will be held in three days and it will be a public execution. Elaina has no interest in watching things like that and would rather stay at the farm and continue her job rather than watch the punishment that would be gruesome enough for her to even look. For her, this matter has nothing to do with her.

And so, two weeks have passed after the Young Duke’s execution. Everything has returned to normal and the buzz regarding the Young Duke’s execution has also died down and it is no longer the news that people are looking out for.

As for Elaina, her belly has grown a lot bigger than before. It was not that big before but with Elaina’s day to give birth coming closer and closer, Elaina’s actions have become more limited as well.

Before, Elaina could move around freely still aside from the actions where she would need to crouch or bend over. Aside from those actions, everything should have been fine. However, it soon became hard for Elaina to remain in action. She easily tires out and her sense of smell has gone so bad that some days she will have to evade the kitchen for the whole day just to get rid of the smells she didn’t like.

Right now, Elaina is currently being examined by Dr. Fey.

"Alright, it’s over. You can now stand up, Miss Elaina. Eva, please assist Miss Elaina."

Eva helped Elaina stand up from the bed without her falling over. With the floor being a bit slippery, assistance is necessary for Elaina.

"How are the results?" Elaina asked.

"There is no problem, Miss Elaina, except that your due is coming soon. Depending on my estimation, it would be around next month which means a week or two by now."

"Are my babies healthy?" Elaina asked.

"Yes. I must say that the diet you have is very good for the babies’ health. I can say that they are very healthy and are in good shape," Dr. Fey nodded with a smile.

"I see. That is good then," Elaina sighed in relief.

"I suggest that you have a constant companion with you at times. During your pregnancy, the abdominal pains might become sudden and you will have trouble in the future. This is something that we should prepare in case it will happen."

"No worries, Doc. Julia has been by my side these past few days already. My grandparents are also currently staying with us as well, so I am not worried. With their help, I won’t need to worry too much."

Dr. Fey nodded. "Great. Since your current situation is different now, I suggest that you take it easy now and avoid doing anything that would cause you stress. Make sure to keep yourself healthy and in good condition as well."

Elaina nodded and thanked Dr. Fey again after the checkup. Julia ran towards Elaina as soon as she was done with the examination.

"So? How is it?"

"Yeah, it’s going alright. Both babies are healthy and both are in good condition. Not only that but the day I will give birth is also coming soon which means that they will be coming soon," Elaina smiled as she rubbed her belly.

"That’s great news, Sis! I will soon be seeing both my nephew and niece pretty soon!"

"Yeah. Things have been hectic by then but who would have thought that we would be here, now waiting for the birth of my twins? No one would envision me as someone like that so easily when I was still the Empress."

"Still, aren’t you worried, Sis?"

"About what?" Elaina asked.

"About your twins. As much as we want to avoid them from your ex-husband, those guys might be planning something considering that they are silent, aren’t you worried that they will come back with a vengeance?" Julia asked.

Elaina went silent. Julia does have a point. Realizing this, it seems Elaina is gonna need protection from them in the future. All for the sake of protecting the life that Elaina currently carries with her. She only hope that those guys will just give up themselves.
