The trial will not begin immediately so Elaina decided to take care of the farm first. She also checked up on Shardu and Zaza who were both wounded in the battle. Thanks to the help of both the Harvest Goddess and the merfolk woman, the situation did not escalate and both are safe from harm. They are now recovering in their respective areas where they are comfortable; Zaza inside the farm and Shardu on the repaired doghouse.

Elaina also asked for the statement of the Harvest Goddess and the merfolk woman about the incident but they didn’t have much to say aside from what she already knew as they were more busy keeping both Shardu and Zaza healed up.

She then went to see the Fey and the fairy about their situation and if they were not affected by the battle. Thankfully for them, it seems that they didn’t suffer any major trouble and have remained fine at the moment and that is a good thing. Elaina is worried that they got swept by the battle and ended up injuring themselves. They are non-combatants and she prefers them to not be injured at all.

After checking them and making sure they were not hurt and beaten in any other way, Elaina started to restore her farm once again. It is not going to restore her farm to the way it was before, but at least, she can start again. And it’s not like her entire farm is ruined and cannot be used anymore. So there is nothing for her to be so worried about.

And just like that, a few weeks have passed by.

After detaining the Emperor of Luminiera Kingdom, the news spread like wildfire around the kingdom. Not only are the people of Darcero Kingdom furious at him, but many are lamenting the fact that he is the main reason the illegal smuggling that was hidden for days has been revealed. Many are also now linking that he is also one of the indirect reasons why the ban of entry from the inhabitants and visitors of Luminiera Kingdom has been banned for a year.

There are also rumors that the reason he was here to begin with, was to pursue and find his wife who decided to settle down in the Darcero Kingdom. No one knows who it was but all they know is that she escaped from Luminiera Kingdom, disappeared there, and decided to settle down to escape her life as an empress. Rumors circulate about the empress and although the emperor has a negative reputation, the empress has a neutral reputation at the moment and most of the people are still trying to know the main reason for her escape.

Of course, the speculations would soon end as it was announced by the castle of Darcero Kingdom that the trial of Emperor Alfred would be shared in public, live via transmission and projection magic to reveal the broadcast to many.

And that day will be today.

"Are you sure that broadcasting the trial is the best way to do it, Empress?" Princess Margaux asked.

"Stop that, Princess. It makes me shiver when you are the one calling me an empress. I have already abandoned that title so please drop that," Elaina rubbed both her arms together as she was riding a carriage that had the crest of the Darcero Royalty.

"Hehe, I still couldn’t believe that someone who is known to be formidable and someone who is being looked up to by many people is currently living as a normal farmer in our lands. So you can’t help me from doing so."

"It’s fine but I prefer you call me the way you call me before. It makes me more comfortable than someone who became close to me suddenly changing their way of addressing me."

"As for me, I think it is a big honor to be the personal doctor of the empress of the Luminiera Kingdom, to be honest. But I think it is cool that you are pretty chill about it," Dr. Fey said, sitting opposite Elaina.

"I didn’t expect you to be coming with me, to be honest. I know you are busy at the clinic so why are you personally doing this?" Elaina asked.

"Knowing how you always go to an outburst like usual, I think it is fine to say that we are more worried that you would do something again like that. And if that happens again, I would be there to suppress you from doing that and endangering your kids again."

"No wonder you are here instead of Sir Troy... Speaking of him, where is he, by the way?" Julia asked.

"He informed me earlier that he cannot accompany me. He even sounded so pissed off but it seems that he has some work that he needs to deal with that cannot be disregarded. He already apologized to me but he said that he would be with me emotionally."

Dr. Fey laughed at hearing that. Elaina can tell that Dr. Fey had some signs of attraction from her to her brother. But she is not going to rat it out to her about her brother’s feelings. He needed to do his best personally instead of being the bridge. She can be a wingwoman, but only if he is there.

The coachman tapped on the window behind him where everyone was to catch their attention before opening it.

"Your Majesty, the carriage has arrived."

"Alright, this is the moment of truth, Miss Elaina. I still don’t know much about your background and the main reason you are no longer trying to be the empress, but we will be supporting you. So don’t worry and do your best at what you will be doing soon," Princess Margaux smiled before she opened the door and got out of the carriage.

The others also went out of the carriage. And for the first time, Elaina felt nervous and excited at the same time. The time is nigh and she is going to ensure that her goal will be accomplished. All for the sake of her daughter and son.
