Chapter 205: Chapter 205: LET’S TALK
Ba Susan looked at Orson and his men, who knelt on the ground and suddenly found the man pitiful.
Honestly, when he received the news that Orson brought his men with him, and that there was a fight, he was completely frightened.
He was truly afraid that something might happen to Calista, so he ran towards the danger, thinking of ways to let everyone speak peacefully.
With Calista’s temper, he was pretty certain that it would never end well. And with how she was like, she would likely attract Orson’s men’s anger and end up in an unfavorable situation.
But who could have guessed that the daughter he watched growing up was so mysteriously and literally a godsend?
What did he see?
To think that the kitten he had seen for a long time was so majestic and such a beast, he was at a loss for words.
He didn’t think that she was hiding so deep like that.
However, seeing her so powerful like that also made him feel at ease.
At least no one would bully her or underestimate her again. He was relieved. After hearing her threats, he also was more relieved, knowing that no one would dare utter what they shouldn’t.
However, now the main issue was solving the issue at hand.
There was no way that he could let these grown-up men remain kneeling there, right?
If it was Calista, he was certain about her anger towards Orson, she would surely leave him there.
Seeing her silent and at a loss for words as she looked at the men kneeling, he took steps forward until he was standing next to her.
Despite the monstrous Whitey acting cute in front of her and the snake hissing and hiding beneath her sleeves, B Susan braved himself as he said, "Cali, let us all talk somewhere. We can’t let them remain kneeling there. People are watching," hoping that she would make it easy.
When Calista heard that, she was in the middle of gnawing, thinking of how to show her magnanimity and let these men stand up. Ba Susan just came at the right moment, and she looked at the man knowingly for a brief second before looking at Orson, who was still on his knees, looking at her hopefully.
Calista took a deep breath as she clasped her hands together, her eyes narrowing as if she wanted to see Orson very clearly before she responded, "Let us go to my place and talk. I only want to see you and your daughters. As for the rest, find a place to put them!" her tone turning icy as she looked in the direction of where Vaani was still lying unconscious.
How dare a woman embarrass herself like that?
She even wet herself. How was she going to face people in the future?
Orson looked gratefully at Calista when she said that. He hurriedly got on his feet as he said, "Thank you. I will do so," his voice was full of sincerity.
Calista simply nodded before she straightened her hand and tapped Whitey on the head.
The big head swiftly turned to look at her and she instructed, "Reduce your size a bit. I want to go home!" her eyes sparkling as she eyed the cat’s back.
Upon hearing that, Ba Susan nearly had a heart attack. What was she trying to do again?
However, before he could say a word, he and many others all saw Whitey reducing its size. As if that wasn’t enough, it lay on the ground and Calista climbed on top of it with ease.
They had seen women riding horses before, which was already rare, but a woman or a person riding such a monster, now that was scary and something else.
Calista didn’t bother to look at others as all her mind was thinking about was how soft Whitey’s back was.
It’s been years since she got a ride. How could these people understand?
"Let’s go!" she urged the others as she and her ride started leaving.
Looking at the departing back of Calista and Whitey, everyone simply stood frozen there.
"We are not hallucinating, right?" some started finding their voices, though they asked in a low tone.
"We aren’t dreaming. That’s real!"
"Hah, to think that we nearly .... I am scared."
"I want to go home!"
There were many opinions among the people, but on Orson’s side, he wasn’t literally shocked by the appearance of such beasts. He had already suspected that Whitey was not an ordinary beast. He just never expected that Calista knew about it and even had two of such beasts with her.
He once saw such a monster before, and it caused so much damage. A lot of people died, and they failed to kill it. It was that dangerous. And to think that there had been two by Calista’s side. Ha, no wonder why she could take out such medicine. She was indeed mysterious.
Just who was she?
Orson was curious, but this answer was something that he knew he wouldn’t be getting any time soon.
With Calista going far away, he also followed behind with the carriage where his daughters were.
As for Vaani, he let his men help her out. As for following him, he didn’t want to cause any more trouble.
Luckily, Ba Susan told them to camp in an open space just out of the village while they waited for their master’s order.
After dealing with them, Ba Susan hurriedly followed with his wife. If he wasn’t there, who knows what kind of troubles Calista would raise?
There were children’s lives involved, and he just hoped that she would consider that.
When Calista arrived at the manor, the servants stayed as far away from her as possible. Seeing them so scared just because of the pets, she sneered.
Upon arrival, she instructed Whitey to transform, and shortly he was back in his cute form.
Calista hugged the kitten in her hands with Blackey still sleeping on her wrist peacefully.
With her two oldest children in hand, she headed for the house, with the others following.
After a while, inside the living room, Calista watched as Orson and Ba Susan came into the room holding two young girls.
Seeing them, she felt a pang in her heart. She didn’t know what happened to them, but she could sense how their life force was simply slipping away from them.
"Meow, meow," Whitey meowed as he lowered his head after glancing at the girls.
When she heard what he said, a grim expression appeared on her face.
