Chapter 206: Chapter 206: TREATING THE GIRLS

"Are you tired of your life? How dare you let the children suffer to this extent? If you were late by a few days, you would be holding a damn funeral by now?" Calista couldn’t help but scold Orson who was just placing his daughter on the mat that had been prepared for them.

He couldn’t help but look at her with a grim smile on his face.

He didn’t want them to suffer like that at all, but who would have known that it would come this way?

If it wasn’t for the sorceress’s appearance, he would be indeed holding a funeral by now.

However, he didn’t dare utter any nonsense in front of her right now. She was truly pissed off and if he said one wrong word, who knows how much hatred she would have for him?

Ba Susan shook his head as he placed the other girl next to her sister.

Seeing him not responding, Calista clicked her tongue in frustration. However, her gaze still shifted to the girls lying on the mat.

They were so young and yet suffering so badly like that. Just what kind of disease were they suffering from to suffer like that?

Her maternal heart couldn’t help but feel pity and sympathy. Even if she hated Orson right now, his children were innocent.

He was just being a father; she summarized the whole situation after connecting the dots.

Everything that he did was for his children. What a dedicated father!

When everyone was seated, Ba Susan looked at her and asked, "Cali, what do you plan to do now?" his heart was full of anxiety.

It was uncertain of what she might do. She was unpredictable, after all.

Calista sighed as she looked at the girls. Looking at them, her hand itched as it held a bottle. She had taken it out earlier when she had arrived.

She stood on her feet without looking at Orson or Ba Susan and walked towards the sleeping girls.

Seeing her walking towards the girls, Orson’s heart pounded crazily, feeling excited that he might be saved. However, he couldn’t say anything lest she change her mind.

"Do you want help?" Ma Susan, seeing Calista stopping in front of the sleeping kids, asked as she stood on her feet.

Calista’s belly was already big. If she were to crouch down, who knows what damage would happen?

They had spoiled her too much in these months. So how could she let her do any harmful activity?

Calista smiled at Ma Susan and nodded her head. "Um. Help me administer the medicine," she responded as she revealed the small bottle in her hand, giving it over to Ma Susan.

Ma Susan’s brows twitched at seeing the bottle. What kind of medicine looked like spring water?

However, she didn’t ask this out loud. After everything that she had seen today, she would never distrust Calista again.

"How do I use it?" she asked as she accepted the bottle.

Calista smiled at the other, seeing how she didn’t ask too many unnecessary questions.

"Feed them two drops of it. Once that is done, have them carried to a guestroom, get them wiped and change them into something fresh," Calista listed the instructions.

Ma Susan once again was baffled upon hearing about the administration of the medicine. What kind of medicine was that, actually?

Nonetheless, she still followed Calista’s instructions and Orson on the side, watched all that with his heart in his hands.

He didn’t know how powerful the medicine was this time, and whether it was going to affect the girls. He didn’t know what was going to happen, and that uncertainty made him anxious.

Ma Susan fed the girls the medicine according to her instructions. When she first touched them, their pulse felt weak and yet after administering the medicine, she felt a change. She couldn’t help but be in awe of that happening.

Calista on the side nodded her head upon sensing the girl’s vitality returning.

She didn’t take out the undiluted version of the medicine. It was too strong for the girls. They needed long-term nurturing. Too much medicine would kill the girls, and she didn’t dare murder such young girls.

When the girls were fed with medicine, Ma Susan and the maids took the girls to the guest room she selected. As for what would happen there, she would have to hear it from Ma Susan when she returns.

With the girls gone, it was just the three of them in the room if she were to ignore Whitey, who was snoring softly on the couch next to her and the hidden Blackey who was acting too clingy for her liking.

"The girls will be fine, but that is something that will take a long time. I don’t dare give them the medicine you are here for at the moment. it’s too much for them. They will die if they take it!" Calista suddenly started speaking as she looked at Orson expressionlessly.

Orson heaved a sigh of relief upon learning that the girls would be okay and that she indeed had the medicine that the sorceress told him that she had.

"Thank you for everything!" he sincerely thanked her as he cupped his hands.

Calista scoffed as she looked at him.

"I am only doing this because they are kids. I am a mother as well, so I can’t let them die under my watch. Besides, wasn’t that shameless woman so certain that I would take out the medicine for you?" Calista retorted as her face scrunched up just thinking about the sorceress.

When Orson heard about that woman and medicine, in his mind, a figure suddenly appeared. He looked at Calista with a dumbfounded expression. He couldn’t help but ask, "You .... How do you know her?"

seeing him acknowledging the existence of the sorceress, Calista’s cheeks puffed up angrily, her emotions spilling all over the place.

Whitey, who was snoring soundly, snapped his eyes open as he glared at Orson. In the whole house, and with the people surrounding his mistress, only Orson could make her angry. So, he was the culprit.

Orson, seeing Whitey glaring at him, nearly cursed. What did he do again?

Could it be that the sorceress and Calista were enemies?

He was innocent in this matter. Why was he being looked at as if he was the villain?
