She hung up and went straight into the private room.

It felt nice to have her worried about him for skipping one meal.

"Hurry up and leave!" Lin Jiamu said.

"Lin, you wait and see." Qin Xi threatened, looking at Mu Yan, "I’m off, let’s hang out next time."

Mu Yan nodded, "Okay."

"Alright." Qin Xi grabbed her bag and left.

Mu Yan looked at the string of text messages she sent that had no reply, frowning, wondering if his phone wasn’t with him; why was he not responding?

Lin Jiamu came over and said, "Let’s go, time for dinner."

Mu Yan looked up and said to him, "No, I need to head back."

"I’ll take you," he offered.

"No need, getting photographed wouldn’t be good." Mu Yan quickly rejected.

It’s not just fear of being photographed, but also fear of him finding out where she lived now and thus discovering she’s married.

Lin Jiamu nodded, "Alright, let’s leave together then."
