"A clean blow by Valgros! Is this the end for the human?!" 

Does it really look like I finished him? Despite the cheers he got from the crowd, Valgros felt no sense of victory. He quickly backed off as Keith swung his halberd, creating space. Blood dripped down from his forehead, coating his left eye.

I need to finish him off as soon as possible. Valgros's eyes never lost focus as they were locked onto Keith. Even though he had the upper hand, that could change instantly. 

Plus, there was a downside to all of this. Keith didn't understand, but Valgros lacked mana. He could only maintain this ability for a few more minutes. 

Any more, and he was pushing it. What made it worse was,

He's not giving up. Unwavering eyes; there were no signs of defeat in them. Keith was not going down unless he got knocked out! So be it! I'll take you out. That made him a worthy opponent to face! He was going to slice him to pieces! With his sword raised, he prepared for the final strike.

Shing! 

What?! Baffled by the moment, a kick sent Valgros flying into the air. Keith had a confident smirk, “I get it now. You’re using magic.” He finally understood what was going on. It wasn't that Valgros was using his body to physically attack him two times. Unless there was a trick to this. 

It was the use of magic. When he blocked his blade, his second strike was only half the force. 

"If you're going to use magic, I'll just have to do so." Magic to block magic. A barrier of wind slowly formed before the spot Valgros attacked. His arms blocked the first, and the shield blocked the second.

Valgros laughed, "So you noticed the trick. You're one of the few people who figured it out."

"Let's keep going!" Keith wasn't going to go down; there was no way he could now that he knew. The two continued to battle forward. Both sides landed attacks. Blow for blow, blood for blood spilled. However, the winner was decided.

Thud! 

Valgros was the one who went down on the ground. Keith raised his fist into the air, 

“Winner! Keith!” The announcer shouted! It took him a few seconds before he made the announcement. He couldn't breathe at the sight. As he announced this,

“Cheater!” 

“He definitely cheated!” 

Insults were bombarded down at Keith. However, 

“Enough!” The one who had spoken up was Valgros, “This man had defeated me through his skills and efforts. Saying that he cheated is the same as dishonoring my fight!” Valgros’s eyes narrowed at the crowd.

“That was more than enough to shut them up.

The two slowly trudged to the back, where Keith slumped down, "That was an amazing match."

"Indeed." The two had smiles, "You better win against that brat."

"I will."

Keith and Valgros continued to talk with one another before someone called out, “What’s this? Are you two buddy-buddy now.” Draezar came over to them with a dark look on his face. However, Keith and Valgros had a calm look as Valgros rolled his eyes, “What are you doing here?” 

"To check my competition. But it doesn't seem that I need to worry."

“Daddy!” Eri had called out and slowly rushed towards Keith. But the moment that was said, Draezar's eyes were directed at the child, 

"Who let such a dirty fox in here?" Without any hesitation, he slapped Eri across the cheek.

“Bastard!” Without any hesitation, Keith punched him straight in the face with an angered look. The pushback caused Draezar to be sent flying into the wall. His eyes were bloodshot and feral. “You’re looking to die!” Before they even had the chance to fight with one another, someone had stepped up. 

“Enough, we cannot have two of the contestants fight one another right here.” Sarthos and a bunch of guards immediately stepped in between them

“Papa.” Eri tugged Keith’s leg, “Alright.” She looked at him calmly, and he slowly calmed down when he heard this. Draezar laughed, “It’s going to be good beating you.” He walked away with the scowls that were coming from Valgros and Lilith.

“Is she alright…” Valgros said something, but that was when he froze.
