Volume 15 Chapter 25: Because She Asked Me To Be Here

Later in the day, Keith's eyes were calm and focused. However, a dark aura surrounded him, his lips slightly knitted into a frown. He stared at the little ones, "Do you understand the mistakes you all made?"

"Mmhmm." Eri bobbed her head.

“Yes.” Fira followed with a nod.

The little ones had their heads down with their hands up while they kneeled. Scarlet watched from afar. Wow, Keith is really angry with this. And he should be.

When Keith returned home, he noticed Lilith crying and holding the little ones. Anyone could tell she was frazzled and anxious!

This was the first for him as well. There was no need for anyone to explain as he got the picture: the group ventured off without telling Lilith and got lost. That was understandable, given the vastness of the land, and they likely became curious about what was here.

This happened from time to time with Mir and Fira. However, this was a first for Eri.

"How did you return?"

"Secret!" The five glanced at one another with a smile. They were going to hide this for themselves.

“I see.” Keith sighed, “But you should still apologize to Lady Lilith for all of the trouble you've caused.” They definitely gave the woman a heart attack for running off.

“Sorry, Great-Grandma.” “Sorry!” “Po!” The four quickly apologized. When they returned to the mansion, they witnessed Lilith and a few maids searching all around. She tackled them once she spotted them.

Lilith hugged the four tightly, “Please don’t run away like that again. Tell someone about this.”

“Okay.” Eri and the others were quite happy as they started to play again.

Keith slapped his head with a groan, “What am I going to do with them?” They could kill him with their cuteness. Urgh! That was when he felt an intense pain coming from the side of him. Turning around, he saw Scarlet,

"What was that for?!"

"To keep you from going into doting father mode."

"Thank you." Keith took a deep breath, "Do you want anything for dinner?"

"How about a juicy steak?"

"Alright." Keith smiled as he got to work on cooking. Since they have worked so hard, they will need something to energize themselves.

...

The next day, Keith headed out again. It was time for him to fight once more. Wow, they even have banners for me. Today was especially unique. Some demons even raised a giant banner for him...banners to tell him to get out of here.

Keith almost wanted to chuckle, but his focus was on the opponent before him. I can't let my guard down. Even though he witnessed his battle, he couldn't afford to be cocky. The fighter he was about to face wasn't that strong, but he could be holding back against his previous opponent to preserve strength.

The demon pointed at Keith, “I have one thing I have to say to you!”

“Hmm?”

“You're not qualified to marry the princess!” The demon noble didn't hesitate to shout out. He continued, “Why should our demon lineage be tainted by you!” This had to be said; for the princess to marry a human was shameful.

“Yeah!” “You don't deserve her!”

“I don't think you should say that.”

“Why not?”

"..." The demon smirked. He was going to use everything in his arsenal to defeat him. Moreover, this person was a human. How dare he try to step into this situation!

“Umm, because she was the one who asked me to be here.” Keith scratched his head. That was the only reason why he was doing this. With his words, what came next was the resounding shouts that came from the audience. It was quite strong and intense.

“You’re lying!”

“This can’t be!”

“Our princess will never love you!”

Keith sighed, “You can say whatever you want. But I’m going to be beating you. So enough talk, and let’s fight.” There was no point in trying to talk with them. His fist would do all of the talking.

However, Keith slightly faltered as he stared at his opponent. Are you kidding me...

“...” Keith just walked up to him and knocked him out. The announcer muttered, “Winner, Keith!” With his outcome being official, Keith walked off the stage. However, his expression was off as his lips were crooked while he walked. I can't believe I won like that. Registering this victory into his mind was not coming up.

From what he said, that man was broken beyond recognition.

“That was an interesting fight,” Valgros muttered.

“Say that without showing a smile.” It was clear to him this demon wanted to laugh. However, he was trying to be curt and not show it.

Valgros smirked, “To defeat an enemy by words alone is important.” Psychological fights were also something that would get them to fight.

“...”

Keith sighed, “I guess the two of us are going to fight with one another.”
