"Ziye, are you alright?" Su Yu gently pushed Ma Ziye, Ada, perched on his shoulder, furrowed his brow as he stared at the hovering candle in her chest. He mumbled, "Is there a problem with her inheritance...."

Seeing Ma Ziye unresponsive and unaffected by his special power, and Ada clueless about the situation, Su Yu hastily called for the Wooden Man. Out of everyone, the Wooden Man might know more about Ma Ziye’s inheritance.

After seeing the candle floating in Ma Ziye’s body, the Wooden Man seemed taken aback. He said, "Is something calling her? This is her Soul Candle. Once the wax burns out, she’ll die."

When Su Yu heard this, his face paled. He examined the candle in Ma Ziye’s body and saw that it had already burnt down by half. He feared the remaining half wouldn’t last too long.

Quickly they arrived back at the Undead Remains and found the palace where Ma Ziye had received her inheritance last time.

Ada’s memory was excellent. He never forgot a place he’s been to before. Once Su Yu walked into the "Realm of Life and Death" carrying the blanket-wrapped Ma Ziye, they found the originally dark hall filled with giant candles. Each candle was lit, illuminating the gloomy hall. Last time when they left, the place was empty, not a single candle was in sight. The blurred figure was cloaked in a black cape and wrapped in black chains. A black object, consisting of two plates connected in the middle by rectangular hollows, rested on its knees. It strongly resembled the wooden fetters worn by ancient prisoners. Chains dangled from both sides of the fetters, resting on the hazy figure’s knees.
