Meng Jun had always been protective of Meng Ting, following her wherever she went. But when Meng Ting was with Su Yu, he finally felt at ease. So, not bothering to accompany them this time, he watched the pair disappear from his sight, murmuring to himself, "I hope they end up together again... that would be really nice..."

The second layer, like before, consisted of numerous floating islands on the sea. The island they arrived at was entirely black, filled with weathered rocks that released an ancient aura as if they had withstood millions of years of time and weather.

Dragon Kid stopped at the island, saying, "This is the place."

Meng Ting acknowledged, and Su Yu stepped down from Dragon Kid’s back, while Dragon Kid shrunk back to his normal size and hopped onto Meng Ting’s shoulder.

From afar, Su Yu spotted a conspicuous tree in the distance. Even though the tree wasn’t as ludicrously large as the Jianmu Tree in the Demon Beast Mountain Range, it was still unbelievably huge. Looking from afar, it was at least as wide as twenty people standing shoulder to shoulder and stood over fifty meters tall, making it extraordinarily noticeable on this floating island.

Pointing towards the tree from afar, Meng Ting said, "That’s where we found it. Let’s go, I’ll show you." As they approached, Meng Ting and Su Yu noticed a group of seven people who had arrived before them. They were huddled around the tree, seemingly digging for something.

One of them yelled irately, "What you staring at?", upon seeing Meng Ting and Su Yu approaching. They did not appreciate being stared at.

The man gauged that Meng Ting’s skill level was around the Sixth Order. He couldn’t determine Su Yu’s power from his aura, which appeared ordinary. Among the group of seven, there were five of the Sixth Order, including a prestigious Seventh Order Junior powerhouse. Given their superior strength, they had no reason to fear Meng Ting and Su Yu.

Upon a closer look, Su discovered they were digging up tree roots. It looked as if they would not rest until they uprooted the entire tree.
