Chapter 600: Chapter 462 Human Heads and Timis (First Update)

Since losing her memory, it’s the first time the little girl, Feng’er, has triggered the power of the "Sealing Eye." She can finally control her power once again. This time, her aim is clear; she wants to protect Su Yu and Lei Leian, shielding them from the unknown humanoid monster facing her alone.

The three ethereal shadows behind her flickered uncertainly, three squinted eyes in the shadows pulsed as if about to open.

By this time, the shrine’s ruins had suffered complete destruction, the surrounding quartzite-built underground palace also thoroughly ruined, forming a large pit. The Green Giant Gods protected Su Yu, Lei Leian, and Ada as they retreated. Then, under Su Yu’s will, they gradually disappeared into thin air.

Summoning the Giant Gods requires a significant amount of life energy. Even though Su Yu’s body had swallowed the life energy of thousands of years, he would not want to summon them for an extended period unless necessary.

Despite the extent of the humanoid head’s terror, the three shadowy figures behind the little girl were no pushovers. For now, the humanoid entity appeared shocked and angry, its face an expression of infuriation and exasperation. It seemed as though it couldn’t deal with the three shadow figures behind the girl.

After a standoff with the little girl for a while, out of the blue, the humanoid figure started wailing.

As it cried, it screamed, "I am too wronged and miserable! How could I suffer so... I was dissected by five dragons, buried in six imperial coffins. I barely woke up, and now even a child is bullying me. Who could be more unlucky and miserable in this world after all —"

Tears streamed down the head’s face, and it screamed. Su Yu and Lei Leian exchanged glances. Then, Su Yu gave a bitter smile, wiping the fresh blood from his mouth. He was in tremendous pain as the shards of power released by the raging humanoid had struck his body. If he were to be hit directly, would he still be alive?

As the humanoid head ceased to move, only standing on the ground and sobbing, the three shadowy figures behind the girl gradually dissipated. Ada frowned and scolded, "Stop crying! A big man crying and moaning like this, it’s disgraceful."

Having been berated by Ada, the head seemed somewhat embarrassed, slowly stopping its crying. A hint of awkwardness came to its face, "Sorry for just now; I wasn’t angry at you all. I’m just too aggrieved and upset; had I not vented, I could’ve gotten wrinkles. Hey, young lad and miss, could you... could you help me wipe the tears off my face? It’s too uncomfortable like this. I am a being of noble status, having tears on my face, it’s unbecoming."

Su Yu was left flabbergasted, staring at the humanoid head, he couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. This humanoid head truly was a piece of work.

Lei Leian found it amusing, chuckling as she walked over, saying, "Alright, I’ll help you wipe them." As she spoke, she truly took out a handkerchief, wiping away the head’s tears.

The head squinted its eyes, seeming somewhat lost in the moment, "This handkerchief smells beautiful, could you give it to me as a memento?"

Lei Leian threw the handkerchief onto the ground nonchalantly, saying, "If you like it, go grab it yourself." After this handkerchief was used to wipe the head’s tears, given Leian’s cleanliness habits, she had no intention of keeping it anyway.

The head looked down at the handkerchief on the ground, then glanced at its lack of hands and legs, and sighed, "You guys rescued me, from start to finish. As the saying goes, ’Send Buddha to the West’; could you please rescue the rest of my body as well? I’ll be forever grateful."

Finally, Su Yu posed a question, "Who exactly are you? Why are you trapped inside this stone coffin, and also..." He was curious as to how this thing was still alive, despite just having a head left. But for some reason, he held back his question.

"Sigh, I don’t know either..." The expression on the head’s face was again one of confusion and depression.

Ada asked, "Then how do you know my name is Ada?"

The head responded, "When I saw you, you felt familiar, and the name ’Ada’ slipped out. But when I try to think... I can’t recall anything about you. My body was dissected by five dragons and divided into six parts; my power and memories leaking out in the process. Unless I can find the other five parts of my body, I can’t remember anything from the past. I even forgot my own name, but... but I must’ve been very noble. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have complied with the burial procedure of the Six Unification Emperor Coffin. Hehe."

Talking up to this point, the head seemed somewhat smugly complacent. It seemed to feel that being buried in the Six Unification Emperor Coffin was a tremendous honor.

Su Yu looked at the piece of black scrap iron still in his hands, contemplating inwardly, "So, there’re six keys in total, with each unlocking a stone coffin. What these coffins are hiding might be his body’s other parts. The Black Iron Guardian awarded us these fragment keys as a reward, intends us to free him... But is it necessary to go through all that trouble to get us to release him... And what was the head’s true identity? Its body was dissected into six pieces, yet it’s still alive... Could this be the ’Spiritual Immortality’ that Ada once mentioned?"

During this brief time, the head had been showering Lei Leian with endless compliments about her beauty, and highlighting the perfect match she made with Su Yu. This caused Lei Leian to burst into fits of giggles.

Su Yu listened doubtfully, looking at the head, wondering if this fellow could really be an "Immortal" being? So slick, just like a city slicker.

"Hey, head, can I ask you something?" Suddenly, Ada questioned him.

The head replied discontentedly, "I’m not called head, I have a name. I’m distinguished, my name is...it’s...what was it..." He opened his mouth wide, unable to remember.

"If you don’t know your own name, then we’ll all call you ’head’ from now on." Ada grinned, ignoring the head’s displeasure, and asked, "Have you heard of Timis?"

She thought about the Merit Monument outside the Shrine. It clearly had information about Timis inscribed on it. The Imperial Coffin was buried beneath the Shrine, so perhaps this head knew about Timis.

As Ada mentioned Timis’s name casually, the head paused suddenly. Then, the joyful expression on its face disappeared, replaced by a serious look. As if lost deep in thought, it took a while before it murmured, "Timis..." as if lost in distant memories.

After a while, he sighed lightly and said, "I can’t remember, I can’t remember anything, including... Timis..." Saying this, he felt a strange discomfort, as if he shouldn’t have forgotten something important.

Dawn was breaking. Su Yu, having been busy for most of the night, was speechless at this encounter with a bizarre head. Lei Leian, on the side, laughed and said, "Ada, didn’t you say that whoever opens the Imperial Coffin will gain the power to rule the world? Do we get to rule the world by relying on this head?"

Upon hearing Lei Leian’s words, the head arrogantly said, "That’s not a lie, provided you can open all six coffins and restore my body. Forget ruling the world, even higher aspirations, I can fulfill for you."

Lei Leian expressed her doubts, "But why do I get the feeling you’re just shooting the breeze?" She knew that the "Ten Great Giant Cities" ruled the world. The true terror of the cities lay not in their strength, but in their ability to summon beings from the Upper Realm. To rule the world meant to suppress the ten races represented by the Ten Great Giant Cities. No one had succeeded in countless years, so she felt that this ’head’ had no understanding of the situation. Regardless, empty talk cost nothing, so he was just blabbering in front of them.

"Hum, a little girl like you wouldn’t understand, and there’s no point explaining it to you. What if you help me find the other five parts of my body? I can grant each of you one wish. How about that?"

Su Yu said, "The issue now is not whether we want to help, but that even if we want to help you find the other five coffins, we don’t know where to begin. Do you know where the other parts of your body are?"

Although he currently possessed a fragment of the key, he was unaware of the exact original location of the coffin that this key could open. The hide map obtained by city lord Anhuan of the "Great Landlord City" only marked the burial location of the coffin here, with no indications for the five others.

Upon hearing Su Yu’s response, the head paused slightly, then disappointingly said, "I don’t know either...darn it, the other party must have used something; I can’t sense any of it. Could it be... could it be that I’ll forever be just a head? No hands, no feet... God, I’d rather be back in my Imperial Coffin..."

But as it said this, it realized that it had smashed the stone coffin in frustration earlier.

Su Yu advised, "We can’t be impatient about this, we can only find them gradually. Hopefully, we will succeed."

The head sighed, "For now, that’s all we can do." After a short pause, it asked, "By the way, kid, what’s your name?"

Su Yu gave his name, and the head smiled slightly, "Good lad, could you do me another favor and get me a body?"

"Huh?" Su Yu was taken aback.

The head explained, "Just get me any body, as long as it resembles a human. I can’t always be hopping around using my head. I’m not Ada, a Category 5 Lifeform." Ada was instantly displeased, "What do you mean by that?" The head chuckled awkwardly, "My mistake, a slip of the tongue."

Su Yu nodded, understanding what the head meant. He quickly chopped a few pieces of wood and tied them together with a vinery, and soon fashioned a crude, headless, wooden humanoid. "Will this work?"
