Chapter 468: Chapter 365: God’s Skull (3rd Update)

In the center of this Skeleton Ice City, there’s a small round ice pool. By the side of the pool, stands a gargantuan ice sculpture in the shape of a throne. At this moment, sitting on that throne is a figure rendered entirely in ice. Both Su Yu and Ada are attracted to this ice sculpture on the throne immediately upon their arrival.

This figure sitting on the throne is the sculpture of a breathtakingly beautiful woman, featuring long flowing hair, a crown, and a scepter symbolizing supreme power all made of ice. What catches Su Yu’s attention the most, though, is the skull she’s holding in her left hand.

It’s a golden skull, seemingly sculpted out of pure gold, emitting a radiant glow. The power it exudes is so compelling that it draws the gaze of Su Yu, Ada, and everyone present.

Back then, Ouyang Nuo had relied on two golden wood core fires to refine her Golden Bones to a perfect state. At that time, Su Yu noticed that Ouyang Nuo’s bones were entirely golden, including the skull. But now, in comparison to the golden skull held by the woman before him, he thought that Ouyang Nuo’s so-called Golden Bones looked more like bronze. This skull before him appeared to be made from pure gold.

An exquisite ice sculpture of a woman cradles a golden skull in her left arm, yet the most bizarre sight is the spring water flowing from the ever so slightly opened mouth of the golden skull.

The spring water flows from the golden skull into the pool at the front of the ice throne. Around the pool are narrow, deep ditches. These ditches intertwine and crisscross, spreading in all directions. The spring water from the golden skull follows these ditches and flows all around, ultimately covering the entire ice city.

After a long while, Su Yu regained his senses. The weather here was freezing. Everything around them was covered in glaciers and snow. Yet surprisingly, the spring water flowing from the golden skull was not frozen, but instead, stayed crystal clear, following the long slender ditches in all directions.

Naturally, the most eye-catching sight in the vicinity of the pool was the exquisite ice sculpture of the woman sitting on the throne, holding a golden skull that spouted spring water, a scepter, and wearing a crown.

Apart from the captivating ice sculpture of the woman and the golden skull she held, there were also some attention-grabbing other sculptures around the pool.

One of these sculptures was of a titanic elephant, almost twice the size of any others around it. It sported shocking sharp and curved tusks, was covered in a thick coat of fur and, even though it was just a sculpture made of ice, there was no mistaking the awe-inspiring grandeur it emanated, as if it embodied the unrivaled king amongst all elephant sculptures.

At the sight of this enormous ice elephant sculpture, Ada marveled. "The Imperial Mammoth... the naturally born king amongst the mammoth beasts... I never thought the ice sculpture of the Imperial Mammoth, which has been extinct for ten thousand years, would appear here..."

It seemed Ada had once encountered a real living Imperial Mammoth, so seeing this sculpture stirred up some emotions. In the meantime, Su Yu was looking at another ice sculpture.

Standing right next to the "Imperial Mammoth" was a sculpture of a formidable warrior. The warrior was portrayed in meticulous battle attire, with a long spear held in the right hand while the left rested on a long sword at his waist. Even knowing that this was just a sculpture, Su Yu could perceive the murderous aura it radiated, causing his hair to stand on end.

"Damn, where did these ice sculptures come from? How could they make me feel so disturbed..." Su Yu was taken aback. Naturally, the absolute center of this circular pool was occupied by the woman sitting on the throne. Beyond her, the most prominent sculptures were the "Imperial Mammoth", the "Formidable Warrior" and six other unique ice sculptures.

Among these eight sculptures, the "Imperial Mammoth" and another sculpture of a "Saber-toothed Furious Tiger," represented the animal world. Ada was familiar with these forms and was intrigued by their lifelike representations. The remaining six sculptures were human forms, one of which was the formidable warrior.

Every sculpture was so realistic that if not for the fact they were made of ice, one could easily mistake them for actual living beings.

"Ada..." After staring at these sculptures for quite some time, Su Yu spoke up to Ada, "where is the Netherworld Water you were talking about?"

Ada pointed with a claw, "Isn’t it right in front of you?"

"Huh..." Su Yu gazed at the springs in the pool, taken aback, "These... all these are Netherworld Water? The water flowing from the mouth of that golden skull... is Netherworld Water?"

"Yes," Ada answered seriously before looking back to the golden skull with a puzzled expression.
