Chapter 289: Chapter 236: Pyramid (10,000 word update, monthly ticket request)

Su Yu said, "We can’t really say that. We’re looking for the Mag-Eu Stone, and I believe the other teams are too. While we’re becoming more powerful, so are they."

"Ha, you’re underestimating Ada. Do you remember my ability to discern direction during my first growth phase? I was already stronger than that useless Dragon Kid in his third phase. And now, Ada has reached the fourth growth phase. Do you think all other Category 5 Lifeforms possess the same ability?"

Su Yu was taken aback, replied, "Oh? You’re saying other Category 5 Lifeforms can’t find robots? Or, they are not as capable as you?"

"Of course, Ada isn’t bluffing... Even if other Category 5 Lifeforms can find robots, it would take them a lot of time. It wouldn’t be as easy as for Ada... Besides, Ada can now sense even more valuable things. Let’s go, you’ll see once we arrive... In six days, our growth rate will definitely leave the other guys far behind."

Ada’s words revivified Su Yu’s spirits. He had assumed all Category 5 Lifeforms could find robots equally easily, facilitating everyone’s acquisition of the Mag-Eu Stone. Therefore, even though he has grown tremendously powerful, he didn’t have much confidence. After all, others could also obtain plenty of Mag-Eu Stones at the same time.

Hearing Ada’s explanation, Su Yu finally got it. He remembered Ada’s debate skills; during the first phase, Ada was more skilled than Dragon Kid who was at his third phase. This meant that other Category 5 Lifeforms might not be as capable as Ada and could take longer to find robots.

Su Yu was also getting excited. Ada, wagging her tail, shot out like an arrow in the Darkness, flying over the collapsed and broken stone walls. Despite Ada being able to grow up to ten meters in length, she still preferred to stay five to six meters long. At this size, carrying only one person, Su Yu, she was still flexible and lightweight.

"We’re here," Murmured Ada, slowing down.

Su Yu slightly frowned, noticing on the device on his left wrist that he was closing in on another red light. This meant there was another team nearby.

"Ada, there’s another team," Su Yu whispered.

"Hmm." Ada concealed herself by jumping onto Su Yu’s shoulder, whispering, "Damn, another team beat us here, and I sensed there was something valuable here. Let’s see what happens quietly. If we cannot match their strength, we’ll leave. If the other team is not strong, we can take them down. I’m confident in my speed should we need to escape."

Upon hearing Ada’s suggestion, Su Yu softly acknowledged it. He looked at the device on his left wrist, pondering the possible location of the other team. He quietly moved along the stone wall in front, while at the same time, dark scales appeared on his upper body, quietly emitting a thick cloudy mist.

The dense mist silently spread around, making it nearly impossible for Su Yu to see. He presumed that in such a dangerous environment, every individual would be keeping a close eye on their device. This meant that the other team was likely aware of another approaching team the quiet showed they had plans. And the device showed that there certainly was another team nearby.

As the thick mist spread in the Darkness, Su Yu, concealed in it, moved quietly with Ada. Soon, they saw a damaged stone door from atop the collapsed wall. While Ada had a strong ability to discern direction, she struggled to pinpoint the exact locations of the other individuals. Nevertheless, she was certain of the presence of other Category 5 Lifeforms nearby.

Following Ada’s directions, the mist Su Yu leaked started spreading in all directions. He entered through the stone door surrounded by the dense mist, cutting through the broken stone wall, where he was greeted by several gigantic stone statues.

The statues were carved in the likeness of various birds and beasts, although the majority of them had been damaged, leaning in all directions, displaying a scene of destruction.

On a path strewn with the destroyed statues, about a hundred meters ahead in the Darkness, stood a lofty building. Looking closely, Su Yu noticed that the silhouette of the structure resembled a pyramid.

An Atlantis civilization pyramid? Su Yu was taken aback. At the same moment, a thunderous crash resonated from a hundred meters ahead. A cannonball had hit the ground and exploded. In the flickering light from the blast, Su Yu spotted the silhouette of a robot.

"Lucky for us," uttered Ada quietly from Su Yu’s shoulder, "The other team just got here too."

Su Yu also noticed it. Ostensibly, the other team shared their objective of getting into the pyramid-like building, approaching the building quietly and covertly enter it. But they had been spotted by a robot guarding the entrance. As a consequence, an explosion rang out, and multiple robots appeared - two close-combat robots armed with huge swords and a long-range robot capable of launching cannonballs were detected.
