Chapter 1320: Chapter 982 Beyond the Universe
As the universe shrank, the continuous expansion of the End Beast grew greater, and under the infinite power pressing down, the "Rule Hall" that was enveloped in radiance finally began to collapse, only the great hall where the three coffins were placed still stood tall amidst this power.
One after another, the most mysterious entities within this starry universe slowly revealed their true forms. Far away, a giant rock floated in, upon which sat a crowned giant, beside him a pile of rocks formed a humanoid shape.
On another side, a third of a fractured celestial body was slowly drifting out, its surface covered by endless forests and green vines, exuding an indescribable strange aura.
The planet where Ada and the others resided was also becoming increasingly visible to everyone due to the continuous shrinking of the universe, the distance between them closing infinitely. It remained unscathed and had not faced annihilation due to the protection of magnetic field power.
Feng’er and Da Huang stopped atop a mountain peak on the Ancient Life Continent, looking up at the relatively small void above, where various bizarre entities appeared one after another. They watched as an enormous figure that couldn’t be fully discerned slowly descended from the void. As it continued to approach, everyone could finally see that it had the head of a mouse, but this head was so large it filled the entire void.
The End Beast had twelve heads, but because its form was so massive, the people could only see one that resembled a mouse’s head. Of course, to deal with these remaining entities, one head was enough.
These entities that appeared one after another were what the eight robed figures called nails of the universe, so firmly embedded that even they could hardly remove them. Now, these "nails" had gathered together, creating an energy space strong enough that not even the End Beast could easily pass through, let alone shatter and ingest this space with a mere bite from afar.
"It" had grown so vast that its body spanned twenty light-years. Now, even a planet could go unnoticed in its presence.
So, "it" actually couldn’t see the planet where Ada and the others were or any Warlord Statue or Eight-Treasures Buddha Platform.
What caught its attention was the streams of energy gathering in this space.
To it, this was merely energy, and it was quite delicious—tasty.
On the mouse’s head, two blood-red eyes opened, emitting a strange glow. Its mouth began to widen, eventually reaching about a light-year across, and then it bit down fiercely onto the void. Regardless of whether it was the Warlord Statue, Eight-Treasures Buddha Platform, a planet, or a continent, including this space, it intended to swallow everything in a single bite.
Its mouth was vast like the heavens. With the universe collapsing to less than fifty light-years, the End Beast occupied twenty of those, twelve giant mouths opening, constantly "snap, snap," greedily swallowing everything in sight.
With each bite, a light-year of space disappeared; twelve mouths biting simultaneously swallowed twelve light-years of space. The second bite, twenty-four light-years.
The few Children of Destiny from the nine hundred ninety-nine races who had fled back to their respective Upper Realms through the "White Hole" had no time to react before the "snap, snap" of space through which they were effortlessly devoured in just a few bites, the entire Upper Realm nibbled away, all living beings completely consumed.
The planet where Ada and the others were located was at the edge of the "dimensional funnel". Originally, she had hoped that an anomaly in the dimensional funnel might occur at the moment the universe collapsed, potentially allowing her to escape into it with everyone. But to her utter surprise, it wasn’t the universe that had disintegrated, rather the "End Beast" that had replaced the universe, and with a "snap" one light-year of space was gone, giving them no time to consider or resist.
It all went black before their eyes, and then, there was nothing.
No Warlord Statue, no Eight-Treasures Buddha Platform, no crowned giant, no Poseidon’s Sun Palace, no Rule Hall—all the remnants of the so-called tough-to-remove nails vanished along with that swath of space instantly.
The End Beast quickly descended upon the Ancient Life Continent, its numerous giant mouths opening with a "snap, snap," munching on the continent as if it were eating broad beans, chunks scattering in every direction, numerous ancient creatures along with the continent itself devoured clean.
For the End Beast, the Ancient Life Continent was like a delicious biscuit, "snap, snap," quickly swallowed whole.
As for the Upper Realms where various races had fled, much smaller in comparison to the Ancient Life Continent, they were simply consumed in a few bites.
The entire starry universe was wholly consumed in this fashion, leaving nothing but darkness in the devoured areas. Then, countless white jade-colored ribs rose from the endless Darkness below, standing like swords piercing the sky, dense and forest-like, filled with an extremely eerie aura.
The End Beast had devoured the entire starry universe, the Ancient Life Continent, and all the fundamental Upper Realms of the various races cleanly, leaving nothing behind. The entire starry universe, with all its everything, was now ensconced in its belly.
The End Beast, having grown to about fifty light-years after consuming everything, floated in this boundless Darkness, its body slowly curling and contracting, the twelve heads retracting back into its body, transforming continuously until, at last, it turned into an immense cocoon spanning fifty light-years in diameter.
In this endless darkness, floating above the densely packed ribs, cocoons like the one the End Beast had become were not only that of the End Beast which had devoured the "starry universe".
Countless cocoons of various sizes all floated above the sword-like ribs below in this endless void of Darkness; densely packed and beyond counting at a glance.
Innumerably many cocoons set within this dark void, the eeriness and grandeur of the scene exceeded imagination.
The cocoon of the Annihilation Beast, which had just been born and devoured the starry universe with a diameter of fifty light-years, was gradually diminishing in size over time. It seemed the energy it had consumed was being continuously digested and condensed. Useless impurities constantly fell, dripping into the endless darkness below.
Among the countless cocoons around, those that were smaller in size had evidently existed for longer and had been refined to greater purity. However, many cocoon shells appeared dull, withered, and devoid of any energy, obviously having decayed.
Eight figures in blue robes guarded the space just above the newly-formed cocoon of the Annihilation Beast. Their mission was solely to protect this cocoon, particularly at this crucial final stage. They seemed more solemn than ever, one of them periodically used a device to scan the cocoon, as though trying to observe something.
This cocoon kept shrinking; after an indeterminate amount of time, an abnormal change finally occurred at one point on its surface.
All eight blue-robed figures noticed the anomaly at the same time. Their forms flickered, drawing nearer, only to see that the hard shell of that area on the cocoon was showing signs of fracturing from the inside.
A series of faint but crisp sounds began, as if some being within the cocoon was pounding at its walls with infinite strength, causing the section of the shell to crack and break.
"It’s about to emerge," the eight blue-robed figures instinctively started to retreat. Finally, with a "pop" sound, a minuscule hole formed in one part of the cocoon.
The hole, relative to the current size of the cocoon, could almost be ignored, but in reality, the gap was not small, with a diameter close to a thousand kilometers.
At that moment, a green-glowing giant was crawling out of the burst opening, the pattern "999" flickering uncertainly on the giant’s brow, exuding an exceptionally mystical air.
"Indeed, it is the human race that is the most superior, the first to emerge, the Child of Destiny of humankind," the eight blue-robed figures had already retreated far away, exchanging glances as they watched the green-glowing giant, thousands of kilometers in height, crawl out from the cocoon.
As the green-glowing giant completely exited the cocoon and stood on its broken shell, the body reached an astonishing five thousand kilometers tall. Simply standing on the cocoon, amid cocoons of light-year dimensions, he seemed like he was standing on a boundless vast land.
This land was barren, nothing in sight. Looking toward the sky revealed an expanse of darkness, utterly empty.
"Where is this place?" The five-thousand-kilometer-tall green-glowing giant was slightly perplexed, recalling past events in its mind.
His name was Lei Chenhui.
Originally, he was just an ordinary high school student living on Earth. Although his grades were not particularly outstanding, they were not poor either, and he enjoyed surfing the internet and reading novels in his free time, a student as ordinary as they come until that day. He distinctly remembered that it was December 21, 2012.
Suddenly, everything changed. He was browsing the internet when the ground shook violently, and darkness overtook his vision.
Initially, he thought it was an earthquake and ran out in panic and fear, only to discover that the world had transformed.
He found himself in a dreadful forest filled with monsters.
In this forest, he encountered monsters that he had only read about in novels or seen in games. And he too, acquired power, becoming the Child of Destiny chosen by the "999" seed, one of the hundred thousand chosen humans.
Thanks to the power of the "999" seed, he was fortunate enough to fight his way out of the forest and reached the Black Iron World. Later, he encountered wonders in the Divine Pit World, absorbing the energy from the bones of golden deities.
After that, he arrived at the Bronze Tower World, ascended to the Upper Realm, and then fought his way through the Upper Realm into the starry universe.
Over the years, there was unending combat; he had also raped many females of different races to vent himself, even attempting to rape and then slowly consume a female of the Alien Clan that resembled a mother alien. This was because he had become numb, no woman of his own race could excite him anymore; he needed stimulation beyond imagination.
