Chapter 1244: Chapter 928: The Battle for the Divine Weapon

When he reemerged, he had already reached space about ten million meters away from the scorching, fiery red star. This vastness of space was also enveloped in flames, though the heat here was far less intense than inside the star itself. Beings stronger than Qing Huang and Qin Jiagui, like himself, no longer needed their protection to survive in this place.

"Ada, you and the others stay here; I’m going to check it out," said Su Yu as he peered at the gigantic star millions of meters away, aware of the terrifying battle taking place. Worried about Lei Leian, he left those words behind and, with a flicker of his figure, shot toward the star again.

Ada uttered an approving grunt and conjured up a massive energy shield to protect everyone. The others watched as Su Yu charged into the fiery star in the distance. Qing Huang couldn’t help but shout, "Su Yu, he can rush in there alone?"

Although Qing Huang was proud, she understood that with her current strength, it would be incredibly difficult to enter the core of a star, yet Su Yu was able to do so with ease?

Didn’t Su Yu say his realm wasn’t much different from hers? How could he dare rush in like this?

Qing Huang looked baffled, but Su Yu had already instantaneously charged into the heated star. The moment he entered, he spotted the planet’s core, with a diameter of approximately a few hundred kilometers, continuously fracturing. From the outside looking in, he finally saw it—a gigantic mechanical creature that resembled a turtle, with half its body wedged into the planet’s core.

"What is this thing?" Su Yu furrowed his brow. The object, resembling a mechanical giant turtle, was nearly as big as a Primordial Beast. It writhed and pushed relentlessly; the planet’s core could withstand the star’s scorching heat but not this mechanical behemoth, as it cracked under the pressure.

Without further hesitation, Su Yu’s figure blurred and he "swooshed" forward, rushing through the cracks appearing in the collapsing planet’s core. Looking up, he could see the world within the core had completely collapsed—buildings crumbled and melted under the intense red flames.

Inside the world of the planet’s core, the Master of Rules was continuously shouting, her whole body radiating with white luminescent energy. The "Spear of Orthodoxy" vibrated ceaselessly, casting faint blue glows.

And in front of the "Spear of Orthodoxy," a colossal mechanical half-turtle appeared.

The enormity of the turtle was almost on par with the Primordial Ancient Beast, its body appearing to be half mechanical, half naturally formed. The half that had emerged sported a tortoise shell with intricate blue, Charm-like patterns, its entire form dark and opaque. One of its claws reached out, seizing the "Spear of Orthodoxy."

The "Spear of Orthodoxy," capable of injuring a Primordial Ancient Beast, was now struggling to free itself from the turtle’s grasp.

"What is this thing?" The Master of Rules was utterly shocked. The semi-mechanical giant turtle before her had an aura utterly different from the Fiery Demon Bull King, clearly not a Primordial Beast. Furthermore, Primordial Beasts, born naturally from the universe, could not possibly be controlled by those white-robed men and women.

From a distance, Su Yu watched the intruding turtle, vaguely feeling it was not a true living being. Although capable of movement, it seemed more like a machine-like entity that had been created.

Seven white-robed figures gathered, chanting incessantly as the mechanical giant turtle continued to vibrate. Amid the clacking sounds, the planet’s core, with a diameter of several hundred kilometers, fractured continuously. The turtle, holding the "Spear of Orthodoxy," raised its other giant limb high, poised to strike down at the Master of Rules.

The Master of Rules, her face a mixture of shock and anger, was still clueless to the nature of the half-mechanized turtle summoned before her. What in the world was it that could withstand the "Spear of Orthodoxy"?

With a snort of fury, the Master of Rules suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood.

This blood sprayed onto the blue "Spear of Orthodoxy" and instantly, the spear emitted an incredibly strong blue luster. With a tremor, it broke free from the turtle’s grip and transformed into a blue comet, striking the mechanical giant turtle.

Almost at the same moment, the body of the mechanical giant turtle slightly arched, its back streaming with blue Charms that rose up and formed mystical celestial patterns, enveloping itself and the seven white-robed figures within.

The "Spear of Orthodoxy" struck the giant turtle like a nuclear bomb, the intensity of the collision alerting Su Yu of imminent danger. He reflexively retreated, materializing his Golden Body as the planet’s core erupted with an earth-shattering noise, exploding into a giant Light Sphere. The entire planet’s core, in the face of this massive energy, shattered in an instant, got annihilated, and merged with the three Spirits of the Planet, which immediately began to instinctively escape outward toward the star’s exterior.

Su Yu watched intently and immediately increased his power, the Golden Wings behind him rustling as they extended, catching up with one of the Spirits of the Planet and then pounding it with force.

With a blow surpassing the power of a high-grade Immortal, the Spirit of the Planet instantly shrank into a flaming red Light Sphere with a diameter no larger than a hundred meters; Su Yu roared and struck again, further reducing it to a few meters in size.

With a flicker of the Storage Ring, he captured it within the ring, then charged toward the second Spirit of the Planet.

Within the massive star, unusual fluctuations continually emanated, just after the collision between the Spear of Orthodoxy and the mechanical giant turtle. Both parties had exerted their true power, and this strike had already caused instability in the star, with violent energy continuously released, lighting up the entire void with blinding brightness.

Su Yu had already caught up with the second Spirit of the Planet, and with two consecutive hits, he reduced it to mere meters in size before collecting it into the Storage Ring, then pursuing the third Spirit of the Planet.

He had originally collected two Spirits of the Planet and now, with these three, he had gathered a total of five Spirits of the Planet.

The nucleus of the star inside the star, several hundred kilometers in diameter, had completely collapsed and vanished. The Master of Rules continually shrieked, exerting all his strength, manipulating the Spear of Orthodoxy that transformed into a blue luster, continuously bombarding the seven robed men and women.

The seven robed men and women joined hands, continually chanting, while the mechanical giant turtle was enveloped in blue Bagua Charms, protecting them from the Spear of Orthodoxy’s attack; it also swung its claws from afar to strike the Master of Rules.

"Beth Finley, stop your futile struggles," the seven robed figures roared in unison, "the Absolute Shield is a weapon capable of withstanding the Spear of Orthodoxy. The Absolute Shield that we have summoned together can unleash a force that will surely overpower the Spear of Orthodoxy you wield. Accept your fate—Absolute Shield, transform—"

At once, the mechanical giant turtle’s body began to crackle, and to everybody’s surprise, it stood upright, revealing its immense stature; the pieces of its turtle shell cracked open, then recombined to cover the vulnerable parts of the now upright turtle. Its giant arms elongated and suddenly slapped down with force.

With a thunderous boom that shook the heavens and the earth, the million-kilometer-diameter star exploded once again with a terrifying energy storm, the entire celestial body beginning to shake violently. Waves of terrifying energy surged from within, growing extremely unstable, and the terrifying force continued to batter, soon making the Master of Rules and the seven robed figures feel an increasing pressure all around them.

The "Absolute Shield" had now morphed into a colossal mechanical monster with a turtle head and a human body, vital parts flowing with blue Charm light. At this moment, "it" and the Spear of Orthodoxy’s struggle grew heated. Suddenly, the Master of Rules felt the Spear of Orthodoxy slipping out of his control, while the seven robed figures also sensed the Absolute Shield becoming uncontrollable.

Both parties were shocked, and from within the turtle-headed humanoid mechanical monster, a faint and strange voice echoed: "Spear... of Orthodoxy? Pah... So many years... of conflict... I... have always... been the prime defender... I’ve blocked... so many crises... for my master... The one... my master... needs the most... is me... To think... that you... always got... the limelight... I want to... show you... that I’m the... most important..."

Amidst this ghostly terrifying roar, the Absolute Shield transformed into a mechanical giant, seemingly coming to life with its own will, streams of blue Charm light flowing about as its Giant Arm moved, wildly striking towards the Spear of Orthodoxy.

At the same time, the Spear of Orthodoxy, radiating blue light, also conveyed fluctuations of consciousness.

"Nonsense... Foolish and... clumsy... thing... you will always... be a side character... I... am the... protagonist... To think you could... compete with me... Childish... thing..."

Accompanied by this barely audible voice, the Spear of Orthodoxy’s surging blue light, as if the energy within the Jade Emperor had fully awakened, erupted with a tremendous roar, piercing through the star with a diameter of a million kilometers.

At this moment, Su Yu had just collected the third Spirit of the Planet into the Storage Ring and saw unusual fluctuations within the star; he knew something was wrong and in an instant, he was tens of millions of meters away, wrapping around Qin Jiagui and others, and shouting, "Retreat quickly."

Ada had also sensed the impending doom and retreated frantically along with Su Yu.

Almost at the same moment, a ring of energy burst forth from within the distant star. This Light Sphere spread infinitely, turning every space it reached into countless black spiderweb-like cracks.

In this frenzy, even Su Yu vaguely felt that he couldn’t intervene; he had no idea whether the Master of Rules and others were dead or alive.

At this moment, both the Master of Rules and the seven robed figures had no way of anticipating that upon meeting each other, the Spear of Orthodoxy and the Absolute Shield would fight like mortal enemies, escaping their control. The energy unleashed by their collision was also unbearable for them. (To be continued.
