Chapter 1198: Chapter 894: The God of the Dark Night

Looking at everything before him, Su Yu inhaled sharply, feeling a chill run up his spine.

Stepping out of the immense corridor, what appeared before them was a giant hall so vast it exceeded imagination. The length and breadth of this grand hall exceeded ten thousand meters, and its height was also several thousand meters, with several pillars of extreme size supporting the ceiling in the middle.

In this grand hall, there stood one after another incredibly intricate, enormous instruments and huge vessels. At this moment, within these vessels, were submerged organs belonging to various creatures: a giant head with its skullcap lifted to reveal the brain inside, a heart riddled with tubes and glowing red, and various bizarre creatures that seemed to be cobbled together from different parts of other beings, soaking in the solutions inside the vessels. Their bodies were pierced with thick tubes, connecting them to the surrounding instruments, creating an indescribable atmosphere of strangeness, misery, and horror.

Su Yu felt as if he had entered some terrifying human experiment lab. From a human perspective, this lab seemed to be enlarged by tens of millions of times. The subjects of these experiments were not just insignificant humans like them but much more massive beings, such as the Crown Giant standing three thousand meters tall.

The Crown Giant brought them here and stopped. It trembled slightly as if the scene before it had triggered some terrible memories.

Most of the instruments and vessels in the hall that resembled a human experiment lab had been destroyed. Thick fluids flowed on the ground without dispersing. Organs and severed limbs of various creatures were scattered all over the floor.

Tezcatlipoca murmured, "This is too cruel... Who did all this? Do they not view the life of different creatures as life? What is the purpose of their cruel acts?"

This founder of the tri-civilization, who had also suffered greatly, felt an indescribable rage upon seeing the horrific and bloody scene before him. He clenched his fists tightly as his body trembled slightly.

As Su Yu floated through the hall, which was terrifying like a human experiment lab, he saw dismembered bodies of giant dragons and super pythons. He also saw giants with many wings like angels and several bodies resembling the Pear Kadi Mother, the Mother God of Hundred Ghosts. These bodies appeared to be unfinished specimens, with their abdomens held open by instruments, all of which had lost their luster and power.

Su Yu continued to float along, feeling shaken by the cruelty and horror before him, a suffocating and indescribable heaviness pressing on his heart. The atmosphere filling the grand hall was overwhelmingly oppressive and frightful.

As Su Yu looked on, the cruel sights became increasingly intense. He saw bodies resembling the Pear Kadi Mother and the Golden Giant Buddha, which were thousands of meters tall—many times larger than the Western Heavenly Race’s Battle Buddha Lord or Tri-Generation Buddha, yet now, they were utterly tragic.

The skin and flesh of one of these Giant Buddhas had been stripped away, revealing the intricately different skeletal structure of a Giant Buddha. From the expression of anguish and fear on its face, it seemed that it might have been skinned alive, the pain and terror beyond description.

Su Yu noticed that this Giant Buddha was clearly different from ordinary humans. For example, it had a full set of forty teeth, much more than a human, and its rib cage that protected the abdominal cavity was dense and numerous—at least twice as many as a human’s. However, the rest of its bones were not much different from a human’s.

Another Giant Buddha’s body was intact, but its head had been split open. And there was a female Giant Buddha—a thousand meters tall and naked—whose upper body was relatively intact, but her lower half had been completely skinned and hollowed out. Through the massive hole, one could even see her house-sized womb, which had also been cut open, revealing a large egg resembling the color of rock. The shell of this giant egg was cracked, and inside was a decayed and undeveloped infant corpse.

Seeing this, Su Yu trembled slightly, his hands and feet icy cold.

Ada said softly, "It seems this female Buddha was pregnant... With such a tremendous figure, she must have been a preeminent being among the Western Heavenly Race. Yet... to meet such a grim fate, and even her unborn child..." Ada’s voice suddenly choked up and she could not continue.

The "Battle Buddha Lord" of the "Western Heavenly Race" possessed the power of peak immortality. His body was only about a kilometer in size, and yet, the female Buddha before them stood at several thousand kilometers tall, nearly as colossal as the Crown Giants. One could only imagine how terrifying and powerful her identity and strength were during her lifetime. Compared to the tragic scene before them, the shock they felt was beyond imagination.

Even such a great and noble being had met with such a grim end, what more for them, mere humans?

Su Yu’s palms were drenched in cold sweat, and he felt a shudder of fear as well as an uncontrollable sense of sorrow.

Inside the Giant Palace, there was a deathly silence. They were all stunned by the scene before them.

After a long while, Tezcatlipoca sighed and said, "Ordinary members of the ’Western Heavenly Race’ are born from the womb just like us humans... but upon seeing the gigantic egg-like stone inside the body of this female Buddha, I realized... the Western Heavenly Race also has this special method of bringing forth their offspring... No wonder the legends among the various tribes say that the ’Battle Buddha Lord’ of the Western Heavenly Race had no father or mother and was born from stone. Now I understand what that means... The so-called stone that gave birth to the Battle Buddha Lord was actually an egg resembling a stone..."

Su Yu turned his head to look at several other massive bodies from the Demons of Darkness that had been dismembered, and then he saw a pile of smaller bones that clearly belonged to human corpses based on their skeletal structure.

The group silently observed everything as they walked until they reached the end of the Giant Palace, where they found a series of gigantic instruments. Behind those, there was another large room filled with various papers.

These papers, large and small, caught Su Yu’s attention. He picked some of the smaller ones, comparing their texture with that of the half-sheet he possessed. They had some similarities, but were not exactly the same. All the papers were inscribed with complex, unintelligible ancient numbers or charms that neither Su Yu nor the widely knowledgeable Ada could decipher.

The Crown Giant walked to the end of this large room, at the end of which was a thick stack of large papers, each one depicting strange patterns: either a huge serpent, a giant, a Golden Giant Dragon, or a creature with six angelic wings. Some had giant birds with a pair of dragon wings.

The Crown Giant kept flipping through the papers, and Tezcatlipoca was soon drawn to the stack as well. He gasped upon seeing one of the papers, "The star in Darkness, one of the most powerful Demon Divine Beasts, the god of the night, Lemito, her facial pattern is here?"

Su Yu also approached and had to rise into the air to see the full picture on the oversized paper clearly from above. The pattern depicted a female Demon God, as dark as ink with full breasts and a shapely posterior. She had a beautiful face, which was very different from the ferocity typical of Demon Divine Beasts. It was only when the Crown Giant took out another paper, revealing from behind this strongest Demon Divine Beast, "The star in Darkness, the god of the night" Lemito, that they saw her body was adorned with white bone spurs protruding from her back, presenting a creature that was elegant and beautiful from the front, but terrifyingly fierce at the back.

Seeing Su Yu’s interest in this Demon Divine Beast, Ada explained, "This Night God Lemito is as famous as ’Mother God of Hundred Ghosts’ Pear Kadi Mother and is called ’the most powerful Amela’ Demon Divine Beast. Should they unleash their full strength, they could match the power of a Peak Immortal."

Su Yu nodded, feeling a pang of regret thinking of Yana and her Demon Divine Beast, "Mother God of Hundred Ghosts" Pear Kadi Mother. With his current realm, he could summon Pear Kadi Mother and unleash her full strength, challenging even a Peak Immortality existence.

Compared to her, his Blue Giant God fell far short; at full strength, it merely matched a general Divine Level Expert, about the same as the Maya Pillar Gods and other Golden Rank 7 Experts. For Su Yu now, the Blue Giant God had become virtually useless, not even worth keeping as an option.

The Crown Giant slowly separated each paper from the stack, featuring various patterns, not only the "The star in Darkness, god of the night" Lemito but also the "Mother God of Hundred Ghosts" Pear Kadi Mother and the hundred smaller Ghost Deities that surrounded her.

Suddenly, the Crown Giant let out a soft gasp as it noticed its own portrait among the patterns.

Several sheets depicted the Crown Giant, with some papers even detailing individual organs.

Observing these papers, the Crown Giant’s expression turned to one of delight, as if it had found a tremendous treasure. It hastily gathered these papers, setting them aside, and then continued to examine the other patterns. (To be continued. For the following content, please visit www.qidian.com.
