Chapter 1118: Chapter 836: Totem of Civilization_2

Just like Ao Lei, who had the power of a Totem before his failure to become Immortal, he owned the strength of a Totem Level very early on, but he was not the "Amori Clan’s" Totem and symbol. In the eyes of outsiders, he was still regarded only as a pseudo-god, and to make matters worse, Ao Lei never even chose a divine name for himself; he didn’t even qualify as a pseudo-god.

Ada said that the King Mo Xu before him possessed strength rivaling that of a Totem Level, but this King Mo Xu, having failed in his bid for the throne, was definitely no longer the "Moxu Clan’s" Totem. Hence, he could only be said to possess strength paralleling a Totem’s, but not actually be addressed directly as a Totem.

Totem is a term that can be called the most magical and the most unpredictable. A weaker Totem might only be slightly stronger than a Divine-level Expert at the peak of Golden Rank 7. Meanwhile, the strongest Totems could even exert fearsome power rivaling that of the Immortals.

All of this is because a clan’s Totem not only has its own power but also, when necessary, can borrow the strength of its clan to attain unimaginably powerful force, a force that could potentially shake the existences that are Immortal.

That’s why on normal days, the Totem Stone Tablet of the "Maya Clan" holds the Immortals of the Aztec in high reverence. But on that day, in pursuit of the "Chaos Staff," the Totem Stone Tablet turned up without the slightest fear of the divine might of Immortality, engaging in fierce combat. The Maya Clan’s Totem Stone Tablet even dared to fiercely clash with the Immortal of the Aztec.

King Mo Xu, possessing power that surpassed the Golden Rank 7 and rivaled that of a Totem, swung his numerous thick tentacles with a "crackling" roar. The advancing enemies were met with several muffled groans, including one who screamed pitifully as they plummeted and crashed against a rock behind, bursting into a mass of gore.

With a keen eye, Su Yu had noticed from afar that the group surrounding and attacking King Mo Xu was actually comprised of people from the Four-eyed Clan, with their four narrow eyes arranged in two rows.

Each of these Four-eyed Clan members had activated the first level of their "bloodline evolution" ability. Their skin bulged with blue veins as thick as fingers, making them look like blue-veined, fierce monsters as they desperately assaulted King Mo Xu.

The Four-eyed Clan members who had activated the first level of their "bloodline evolution" had strength roughly equivalent to the peak of Golden Rank 7. King Mo Xu, however, boasted might that surpassed this Golden Rank 7 peak. Consequently, despite being under the attack of over twenty Four-eyed Clan members, King Mo Xu had managed to withstand them. Just now, he had even burst forth, killing one of the Four-eyed Clan members and severely wounding two others.

It seemed that King Mo Xu had been chased by this group of Four-eyed Clan members all the way to this place. Although he possessed power surpassing that of the group, he appeared reluctant to engage in battle. Suddenly bursting forth, he once again turned tail and fled.

"Quick, tie it down; we absolutely cannot let it escape—" Several of the Four-eyed Clan members following close behind continuously threw out Scrolls.

As the Scrolls left their hands, they transformed into streaks of rainbow light that quickly entangled the mountainous King Mo Xu.

"Damn it—" King Mo Xu roared, his whole body trembling as his tentacles flailed wildly. The great net woven from the rainbow light was torn apart in the struggle, yet the dozen or so Four-eyed Clan members behind trapped him again. Each of them unleashed their most powerful attacks at King Mo Xu.

"Everyone, keep it up; just a little longer and the master will arrive shortly—" The shouts of the Four-eyed Clan members rang out, as a group of them at the first level of "bloodline evolution," fought desperately against King Mo Xu.

King Mo Xu roared persistently, his terrifying tentacles lashing out one after another. He seemed to have realized that unless he killed these Four-eyed Clan members, he wouldn’t be able to escape. Acting decisively, he stopped running, drew on his true strength, and with a sweep of his tentacles, instantly, four or five Four-eyed Clan members screamed as they were hit by the tentacles. Among them, two exploded into a mass of blood and battered flesh, while the azure blue veins inside their bodies remained undamaged, left behind.

Divine Bones and others, who had concealed their presence and appearance, stood on this island-like giant rock and silently gasped as they witnessed the display of King Mo Xu’s mighty power, slaying one after another Four-eyed Clan member who had activated "bloodline evolution."

Back in the Upper Realm, they had been exceedingly confident in subduing King Mo Xu, who had all along been reluctant to fight them, leading them to disdain him, thinking he was just a brute with brute strength. Only now, as they saw King Mo Xu unleashing his might, did they realize the tremendous gap in strength between themselves and King Mo Xu.

Following the deaths of one Four-eyed Clan member after another, the blue veins left inside their bodies seemed to naturally attract each other and began to slowly converge. Before long, the gathered blue veins had exceeded twenty in number.

King Mo Xu swung out his tentacles once more, first repelling a few members of the Four-eyed Clan who rushed forward to snatch the blue veins. Another tentacle swept out, attempting to wrap around these blue veins.

Almost at the same moment, deep within the void, a sharp, elongated boulder suddenly shot forth with a thunderous roar, crashing towards him.

Caught off guard, King Mo Xu was struck by the massive boulder.

Blood splattered as King Mo Xu let out a piercing roar. His enormous body, spanning over a dozen acres, was impaled by the sharp, elongated boulder, causing a torrent of ink-like blood to spray out.

"Damn it—" King Mo Xu roared in fury, realizing that this elongated boulder couldn’t have naturally shot toward him; this was the work of a calculated force.

As the boulder lodged into King Mo Xu’s body, a dark rift tore open in the void. A giant hand reached out and grasped the twenty-some gathered blue veins in its palm.

"This power of bloodline belongs to our Four-eyed Clan only. Only those of the Four-eyed Clan are worthy of inheriting it. What right do you, a creature of the Moxu Clan, have to lay your hands on it?"

A chilling and booming voice echoed through the space, the sound carrying enough force to shake the stones swirling around. King Mo Xu’s tentacles coiled around the elongated boulder that had pierced his flesh and with a fierce yank, pulled it free.

Moaning in pain, he bled profusely as he managed to extract the boulder and then hurled it away with force.

"My Lord—" The remaining members of the Four-eyed Clan, upon seeing the owner of the giant hand, immediately stepped back reverently to make way. They knew there was no need for them to act any longer; their "Lord" had arrived.

The one who had suddenly appeared from the rift in the void was a Four-eyed Giant.

This Four-eyed Giant sat upon a circular lotus platform over twenty meters in diameter. Around the lotus platform were four weapons: a blue warblade, a double-edged red giant sword, a black spear, and a golden shield.

The Four-eyed Giant was shrouded in darkness, adorned with sky-blue stripes, and as he sat on the massive lotus platform, he emanated an overwhelming and majestic aura, like a true deity descending upon them.

After the Four-eyed Giant materialized and captured the blue veins, they seamlessly merged into his body. His two sets of eyes didn’t look at King Mo Xu but suddenly fixed upon a distant boulder, sized like an island, flashing a hint of confusion.

That was precisely where Su Yu and the others were hiding.

King Mo Xu and the others of the Four-eyed Clan had not noticed this, but the newly arrived Four-eyed Giant seated on the lotus platform seemed to have a realization.

Almost at the same moment, Su Yu sensed trouble and swiftly set up an "Absolute Seal" formation on top of the invisibility provided by the Divine Bones, enveloping everyone as they shot across the sky.

With a hum, a blue warblade descended out of nowhere, landing exactly where Su Yu and his companions had just stood. The terrifying power spread from the blade, and amidst the cracking sounds, the enormous boulder, extending thousands of meters and as wide as an island, began to crumble and disintegrate under the dreadful force. In less than three seconds, the island-sized boulder was destroyed by the power of the Blue Warblade and reduced to cosmic dust. (To be continued... For more, please visit www.qidian.com.
